If I could leave no stars... I would. I am a part of the Bowman family, and Riverview is where my…read morefamily is buried. Usually we use your funeral home. However, I lost my first daughter, Harper, on 2/1 at 13 days old and then my second, Hanlee, on 2/3 at 15 days old. We were planning our funeral for our Harper when my mom called both you and Higgins.. and you wanted more than double what they wanted and Higgins donated a casket to us. They only charged us for the facility, going to get Harper (we were never even charged for going to get Hanlee 2 days later) and the death certificates... and that's basically it. You dogged us for choosing Higgins instead of you. We had no life insurance on them and had to bury our daughters out of pocket at that point. Since we wanted our daughters buried next to my dad, we had to do business with you. You charged us $675 to dig a TINY hole and use fold out chairs and cheap tent for maybe 2 minutes... and on top of that, when we had only lost Harper, you said that if our other daughter died.. we would have to pay that fee again. Did it really cost that much? I don't think so. Here is a piece of advice... a little bit of compassion goes a long way. I understand that this is a business... and you have to make money. However, you were more concerned that we decided to go with the option we could afford and gave us no choice but to scrounge up $675 (luckily people helped us come up with that) for something that probably costed you less than $100. Honestly, shame on you.

Unless you want to be charged an unbelievable amount and have every cent drained from your pockets,…read moreI wouldn't use this place. How completely UNPROFESSIONAL for you to hound a family after they decided not to use your services to bury their CHILDREN. I'm thankful my friends came across Higgins Funeral home who not only charged less, but donated a casket for the babies and only charged them for one trip to go pick up both babies on separate days from Nashville. Losing a family member is hard enough. I can't imagine losing a child. Much less having to deal with people like those who run this funeral home after experiencing such a loss. What a JOKE.

I would not use this funeral home because of the fact they do not take into consideration, people…read morewho are living, the residents and community around them. They think about the profit and money they can make and the convenience to them. And I am not the only person who feels this way. I'm just the loudest. Yeah, I don't want your crematorium 30 steps from my front door and my house. If you have other properties, put it on one of them, don't put it in front of my door. Talk about inconsideration.. This is our home, our little city, our little peace on earth in the state of Tennessee that we love and the people we love in our community. Our friends and families the people we care about and the businesses we care about. We worked hard to have a home. And it's necessary for us to have our residences and our place to live. You also lied to the news about the dangers of it... Also, I don't like your freaking attitude. This is the most appealing place to put it? No, it isn't this is a residential area mixed with small businesses, who don't want your crematorium either. And I will be honest. I feel very much threatened by this.. It is a danger to the value of my home and my health. This is causing me anxiety and panic and yes I have lost sleep over it. What you want to push us all out of here so you could take over all of this land around here, because you're greedy? You're a funeral homel people die every single day. It's not like you're hurting for money or business.. I have papers from the world health organization that state, otherwise that this is very dangerous to my health and the people around the neighborhoods health. It looks like ugly a 2 car garage with a water fountain. You can put lipstick on a pig It's still a crematorium and a pig. But the looks do not matter It could look like the taj mahal. It's not welcomed in front of my house. My health and having to look at that every single day, I don't want to smell it, I don't want to see it, I don't want that 30 steps away from my front door. Also your bussiness is 24-7 this means I'd have to live with that. Smelling that and seeing that and living with that every day. It doesn't bother me that you're just a funeral home there because the way it is right now, it's not a health risk and it doesn't bother me. But a crematorium? Yeah, put it on one of your other properties. Not here. Also this will hurt my property value. Nobody wants to live by a crematorium you wouldn't even want to live near a crematorium. And if you would, I suggest you put it in your backyard or in front of your house, not mine. I have a real estate agent friend of mine that said there are no homes or residences near a crematorium. Most crematoriums are in industrial areas not in residential areas people's homes, were people who are just trying to survive are living. And if you want to buy me out It's going it cost you 1 million dollars, and all the taxes on it along with closing fees and exspences, so I do not have to pay for anything. because you can't touch a house for under 2 hunderd thousand, and if I have to move, i'm buying a house that's nice and it will be all paid off with the money. I'm also on disability and the sale of my house cost me to lose that so you would have to go and make sure that i'm taking care of for the rest of my life. I'm 56 I plan to live for very long time still. Also, the inconvenience of me having to move the expense of me having to move the cost of me having to move. I'm when I did not have plans. I had plans to stay here until the day I pass in an other 40 -50 years. I'm also including a little video of our christmas parade to show how much we love this little city. Don't put that crematorium near my house or downtown. Yes, that is me as Critter. It is better enough that we have to live with life and that we do pass away eventually. And there's nothing wrong with living near a funeral home.. But when they threaten to put a crematorium 30 steps from your front door of your home that is a problem and a issue. The mercury and other chemicals that are gonna be released and particles in the smoke even if filters could be a danger to my health this is a problem.
