Great little par 3 nine hole course perfect for working on your irons, some challenging holes with water. Great staff and in great shape.

First, I'm a 71 yr old 6.2 Handicap golfer. I played a practice round on March 13th and a…read moretournament round on the next day. The good: Challenging but fair layout. Greens were fairly fast but rolled true - loved the Greens! Overall maintenance was good considering it is a desert course. The staff was very friendly and helpful in the clubhouse. The bad: The Sand Traps - OMG, clean them out and put some sand in them! They were raked mechanically, but whatever they used left deep grooves in the very lumpy sand. I could never get a decent lie in the traps! I mean, I can hit a ball out of a fairway bunker as long as I can get the club on the ball. But not in these bunkers! The balls had either clumps of sand/dirt behind it or it was buried in a groove created by the mechanical raking. So, our tournament director had us start on #8b - so we had as threesome start before us on 8. We moved along nicely. By the time we made the turn, there was about a hole open between our group and the threesome. So, what did the course staff do? They stuck a foursome followed by a single in front of us! (WHAT THE FUCK?!) So we go from having a very nice, smooth game around the course to having to wait on every hole for our last 7 holes - three times, the single player was still on the tee when we finished a hole and went to the next tee box. The parking lot: GRAVEL?! Are you kidding me? For a "Resort" course that charges a hundred dollars per person per round, you can't afford to pave that small parking lot?

The Greens were slow but a very forgiving course. Very windy the day we went, but still had a great time. A little more difficult to play than Laughlin ranch, so be ready to have a challenge!

First of all, let me say that after reading the reviews, I was iffy about it. It was a Monday, June…read more22nd. We were staying in Laughlin for a few days and we usually hit a little course a little closer to Laughlin. That other course was walking only for some reason, and it was 103 that day. We did get a late start on the day, so we braved the weather. Not a problem. The course was in pretty good shape and the greens were really decent. Not a bad course at all for a quick round. 9 hole course played twice with different tee boxes to tee off from on the second ground. It was 12:30pm and around $32 for 18, cart included, another $10 for my wife to ride. I bought some beers and they provided ice and a small ice chest. The staff were super cool. Mostly short par 4s, which is great for me. I want to say the average distance was between 320-380 on the par 4s. I got my golf fix in and was pleasantly surprised. I would've played another 18 but the wife was over the temps. Finished in under 2.5 hours as it was wide open and I was able to play multiple balls on some holes. We will definitely be back. The course is maintained by the city, and the staff are the same before the city took over. The four star review is for the value, the greens, the great staff and the proximity to Laughlin.
