We recently stayed at the Riverwalk Inn after our reservations at The Lake House fell through. When we made our reservation at The Lake House they failed to mention their advertised room capacity of 8 people really meant "4 adults and 4 kids" and they were unwilling to make an exception. After a few minutes of franticly searching for hotels with availability and reasonable prices we found Riverwalk Inn. The Riverwalk owners are so friendly and were really good to us. They squeezed our large group in at the last minute and let us check in early. The location is great (about a block from downtown) so we were able to walk everywhere during our trip. The inn is located across from a cute little park where we were able to have a little picnic the first night. The amenities in the rooms are minimal but we had everything we needed (microwave, mini fridge, tv, knife, cutting board, etc). The rooms were clean and we had plenty of towels. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended: great location, inexpensive, and very nice management. read more

Stayed here two nights for crush weekend using the Living social deal. We've been to Chelan many times and stayed at various condos and hotels - this was a new one for us. Largely enticed by the Living social, and the ability to bring our dog as the number of places that allow pets are limited in Chelan. The location is great and the rooms were clean. The great cafe is nice to have on-site. The rooms are tiny, bathrooms are the nicest part (I've paid more for worse), the beds and main rooms could use a little updating but it was overall comfy. I don't know that I'd stay here for two nights again, a few more amenities would be nice for the price - but you can't beat the convenience to downtown. At times it was a little noisy during the night, however no more than I would expect from the size, age, and proximity of the rooms. read more

Great price, friendly staff, awesome location. One of my favorite features being that the entrance to the room was right outside just 15 ft away from parking and the park! The cafe had great breakfast! I would stay again! read more

This was our second time staying at the Riverwalk. We had an awesome time-from friendly, warm staff at the check-in to the café staff as we ate breakfast this morning, The Riverwalk's employees did not disappoint. Our room was clean, bright and super comfortable. Loved the views of the river and Chelan proper. Easy to walk pretty much anywhere we needed to go. Thanks again for the hospitality! The room was clean and spacious The bed was squeaky because of a collapsed box spring which made for a long night. The location is close to the river and the downtown area. The room gave us 25% of in the restaurant I had delicious veggie hash, great wheat toast from a local baker, excellent coffee from a local roaster, and one of their interesting breakfast beers. read more

Don't stay here. I didn't have a choice to stay since I am here for work and apparently everything was booked. The room smells so bad I have a pounding headache. It might actually be better to sleep in my car than to spend the night in this hovel. I suppose some people would call it quaint. I call it tiny, musty, crammed and really pretty bad. A great value in a area with a general high cost. Located within walking distance of anything in town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. Let us check in early. Adorable, quaint inn right on the riverfront. I stayed here while on a business trip and absolutely loved it. It's cute and homey and you couldn't ask for a better location. It's located right across the street from the Chelan Riverwalk Park, which features a great walking/biking path along the Chelan River with access to little beaches. The Inn is clean and artistic, with colorful gardens and eclectic benches lining the paths leading to the rooms. It has a great little cafe and bakery in the main building and sells a great selection of local micro brews. I was excited to discover whole flipping through the guest guidebook that they devote several pages in it to season outdoor recreation activities in the area. Everything from hiking, mountain biking and water recreating to wine tasting and sky diving. I also, loved that on the channel guide page they explain that they only have basic cable with about 20 channels because Lake Chelan is best enjoyed outside. This is a great message! To boot, they are very dog friendly and welcomed my pup. read more

I heard nice things about this B&B, and thought it would be very well priced for a one night stay in Chelan after a friend's wedding. Unfortunately, nearly every part of our stay disappointed us. Customer service was scatterbrained. Scott first reserved the wrong room, then did not call me back when I called and had to leave a message about when I could check in, did not have my reservation ready when I arrived, and was absent from the building the next morning when we needed another towel (there was only one in a room for two) and when it came time to check out. We had to leave the room key on a table in the bakery, and felt uncomfortable with that process. The amenities were substandard. We had a tiny room with a handful of outdated, mismatched decorations and a closet sized bathroom that had no ventilation. It reminded me of a hostel, not a B&B. No wonder there are no photos of the rooms on the website! The room relied on air conditioning that came from a single vent - they had called this "central a/c". The central themostat must be set quite high because we roasted all night and I found that no air actually came from this vent at night, only during the day. They had no additional fans or other methods of cooling the room, so we were forced to sweat it out all night. The bed was hard, linens and towels scratchy, and the walls so thin that I could make out each word of the people staying in the next room as they talked at a normal volume. The B&B is also located near a nightclub, as I clearly heard the music and shouting from the club until after 1 am when I finally fell asleep.Then I was woken early by the sounds of the bakery downstairs and the showers of other rooms. We both slept very poorly. Finally, my boyfriend found a bug under his breakfast wrap, after he'd eaten most of it. We both started the day feeling great, but within a couple of hours after breakfast, our tummies started to rumble. On the 5 hour drive home, we had to pull over multiple times, and spent hours in the bathroom when we got home. That's not the kind of souvenir I want from a vacation! Every other B&B I have stayed at felt comfortable and homey, with friendly and attentive staff. The Riverwalk Inn felt more like a mismanaged hostel where no one cared how your stay went. While I loved Chelan, I will be sure to stay somewhere else during my next visit. read more

We are currently in our room named Thyme and it was a miserable night! The beds are uncomfortable and loud. The beds sound as if you are sleeping on plastic. We could not rollover during the night without waking up the whole room. The beds were so loud it kept the kids and us awake. The beds also do not have headboards so when you try to sit up in bed the bed rolls away from the wall. The positive the term was clean and kind of "cute". Would we stay here again, no. read more

We booked this place on Priceline, so was not sure what we were going to get. There was some confusion with our reservation, but it was handled efficiently. This is a basic motel as far as the accommodations, but it is very clean and that is my top priority. This is locally owned and managed. The restaurant is perfect for me. They have herbs growing in just about every spot in the ground, and those herbs are used in the wonderful creative menu. The food is healthy, local, great value, and most of it is hand made as far as I could tell. We were there on a Sunday and Monday night, so the service in the restaurant was excellent as the volume of diners was low. The location is perfect and quiet. One block from the main street an there is a park across the street with the river close buy. I would definitely recommend the Riverwalk Inn read more

The Inn was a great value. The room was clean, although small and modest, but the shower was fantastic. All I look for is a reasonable bed, cleanliness, and a nice bathroom, and it met all the above easily. The check in and out were quick and easy, and the location is just as good as basically any of the resorts. It is next door to a great park by the water. This is the place to stay is you are looking for no frills accomodations and plan to spend time out of your room in chelan. read more

Where do I start? Lack of costumer service from the start upon checkin. Front desk lady really had no clue what was going on or where anything was. After checking in and being in our room that was just recently cleaned, my husband and I found 2 spiders in one of our beds. I had went back to the front desk to speak to the gal but she had no clue what to do or to tell me besides "it happens." She said Kate, I assume is one of the owners or head manager just left for a trip. She said she could give me sheets to change our bed.....really? I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, worked as a travel agent with Expedia and this is not acceptable. I had asked for management to call me that evening and no one called. The next day when checking out, still nothing had been done. The lady who did check us out...she said she was not told to call us and she didn't have our number. When checking in the previous day, we had to fill out a sheet with our car and contact info, let alone when you call to make the reservation, they ask us for our cell phone....excuses. Room wasn't clean (hair and dirt on the bathroom floor) and poor service...we will not be going back. The only thing positive about our stay is the location of the hotel. read more

We did not stay here - but came here for breakfast both mornings while we were staying in Manson, just north of Chelan. The breakfast here is delicious and health-conscious, just what we like! I love that there are gluten-free options, and the bacon is nitrate-free. This place is delicious, and has a small, cozy atmosphere. Love to support people who make healthy, delicious food! This is the cutest little hotel with an herb garden and rooms that open out onto the path through the herb garden. This is an economic hotel that still packs a comfortable punch. Rooms have microwaves and a mini fridge so you can grocery shop and prelare your own meals, or you can eat in the hotel restaurant. They also rent bicycles there and the location of the hotel is the best assest because its right across the street from Riverfront park with a trail system that has a loop that goes over both bridges in chelan and travels along the river. Hotel is clean and comfy but very basic. Nothing luxurious here, but great for kids and families. Also, they have a bbq on site if you want to bbq your own dinner! Look for off season rates...before memorial day or after labor day to get the best bargain. read more
