Great location just a short walk to the main strip--and the amenities are pretty good as well! Our room was as expected, a good setup with close to a full kitchen. They have communal grills in the grass area on the lake that work great--my steak was perfect! The pool and hot tub are fine--of course noisy and crawling with families this time of year. The pool bar gets six stars for convenience and tasty treats! We took a Lady of the Lake boat tour and were able to walk to their dock in 19 minutes so very convenient---to be honest we didn't move our car all weekend! Staff was friendly and everything was clean and organized. Would definitely recommend and will go again! read more

We stayed at the Grandview condo complex in Lake Chelan and while the location was amazing...right in the heart of town with a beautiful lake view from our room, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the front desk staff's horrible customer service. We booked the presidential suite, which was beautiful and came at a high price, so we expected a high standard of hospitality. Sadly, that's not what we received. As the only Black family staying at the property, we were met with rudeness and clear disrespect from the staff throughout our stay. It was made obvious that we were not welcome. The staff working on Sunday, July 6th around 10 a.m. were especially dismissive and unprofessional. It's incredibly disappointing to spend good money only to be treated like an inconvenience. The setting is gorgeous, but the treatment we received was unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression. read more

Great view. But not worth the price for the worst sleep. I've slept better in cots. Fortunately, we were there during off season. So the noise wasn't too bad. The A/C did work and didn't stink. (As seen in other reviews) The bed was made up of several foam mattress toppers. (Room 201) Which made it incredibly uncomfortable and miserable for our backs. If we did not have set appointments the following day, we would have left early. You can hear every conversation outside and all around you while the sliding door is open. So if you're trying to enjoy the romantic view with some wine on your balcony - pray there's no kids party or people drunkly conversing all around you. I would never stay here again. Not in room 201. I'm not sure about the other rooms beds. I definitely wouldn't stay here during busy season either. Not for a romantic getaway. It's too noisy. Kids jumping the fence to get in the jacuzzi. You can hear every footstep from the people above you. And every noise outside. read more

Yeah I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews before booking this on Airbnb! It's pretty bad. There are a lot of hidden fees and the management of the building is NOT easy to work with, especially since the units are independently owned but managed under one umbrella. Also, even given the high seeming price, this is one of the "cheap" places to stay and it really feels like it. Lots of people there to party, unsupervised kids, barking dogs, etc. The pool area was always a mad house of drunk teenagers and screaming kids. It was just gross and we barely got to use the amenities. Our room had AC but it was always really moist in there- so wet that our sheets were always soaked and our TWO towels (they gave us one towel each with no laundry service and NO pool towel) never dried. It was just nasty in there. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I gladly would. Our stay Friday 6/3 thru Sunday 6/5 was fabulous, but what happened when we left has been a nightmare to deal with. My family has a small house in Chelan Falls, but a pipe burst so we needed a place to stay for a wedding. I found this place on VRBO which was perfect for my fiancé, sister, brother in law, two nieces under 2 years old, and myself. Come Monday morning I woke up at 6am and checked my personal emails. I was notified that I'd be charged $500 because they found a pet toy and animal hair in our unit which was against their policy. I was in disbelief and thought that they had to have had the wrong room - this was clearly a mistake. Neither my sister or I own a dog. I'm actually allergic. Out of all of the VRBO and Airbnb options why would I, and IF I owned a dog, decide to stay in a place that didn't allow them and risk a $500 fee? There are places to stay cheaper than that. Right away I called the front desk number and was furious asking what happened. They ended up hanging up on me. It took me 3 days to reach a Supervisor, Ellie, and 4 days to reach Jonathan (the Manager). Since I wasn't getting any answers I filed for fraud on my credit card, and let management know that I filed and will not be paying the fee regardless. I requested copies of the photos and finally 8 days later received them. The dog toy was one of my fiancés brand new tennis balls that he brought in for the girls to play with, and the dog hair "everywhere" in the apartment was my fiancés hair located on the pillows and head area of the bed. To top of off management said someone tried to get a hold of me that Monday to inform me, which was total BS because I called the front desk line between 6-7am and by that time the $500 charge was pending. When I get my new CC I will need to still deal with this and update payment on multiple accounts. Oh and to top it off the hide a bed has yellow stains on the white sheets. Unit 626 for those wondering. My sister did not want to complain because overall they seemed clean and it was only a stain. I brought this up to Ellie, the Supervisor, to which I kid you not she replied "Yes, I've heard that before". Then do something about it! I then grew concerned that the stain was from previous people and they had a dog that peed on the sheets. No one has apologized for the assumptions targeted towards me and resulted in 4 days of follow up with ongoing issues to get my new CC setup.. No one has offered to make this right. The fingers get pointed in different directions. There needs to be liability by the owner of the condo for stained sheets and management for wrongful accusations. To make it more complicated they hire a 3rd party company to do inspections. So at this point you have the condo owner, VRBO, management at the Grandview, Windermere, their third party inspection company, and third party customer service line. WTF - no wonder no one is holding any accountability. The scary thing is, is that this can happen to anyone, and it makes me wonder how many times they've gotten away with this behavior? Based on these reviews, ample amount of times. Never staying here again, and I caution you to take images of everything if you do in order to protect yourself. read more

Location is really only the good thing about this. Our room was super dark, dirty, and damp. Did not look much like the pictures We would leave and come back and our clothes and bedding would feel damp. The carpets were super gross and still hair in the bathroom and shower. $50 per day to request new towels, but our unit had no dryer and being so damp the towels is never dried. So we had to use damp towels. For $500+ for two nights quite disappointing. Pool was nice but overflowing with people so didn't really get to enjoy it. read more

I had no idea how bad the property had deteriorated until I just spent the last 4 days there with my family. I was with my children and grandchildren ages 1 & 3 and we specifically went to let the kids enjoy the pool. I had stayed there many times before and enjoyed our stays. The pool was a dark green that looked black around the edges. You could not see the bottom and there was a white film/sludge floating on top. It was so awful we would not let the kids in it for fear they would get sick. The hot tub was just as dirty and discolored with dead bugs floating on top. My kids actually left 2 days early due to the conditions. The grounds were covered with litter and not one of the ice machines we could find actually worked. The wi-fi was awful and we finally just turned it off on our phones and used our LTE instead. The room was decent, however, the floors were so dirty that our feet turned black when walking around barefoot the first night. Considering I paid $600 night all in with taxes and fees I expected more. Also no room service at all, not even to bring towels and empty the garbage unless you pay an additional $50 day. Do yourself a favor and avoid this "resort" at all costs. read more

This was BY FAR the worst lodging experience ever. It was so bad that we paid for another hotel out of pocket to stay at a different location after having such a poor experience within the first 24 hours of her stay at this facility. Upon arrival, we went up to park, after hours, and were rudely lectured by a staff member that where we were parking we weren't allowed. I am so thankful that my husband was nearby in the truck because had I been approached the way I was by the staff member in the parking lot I would fear for an extreme safety issue. There was ZERO parking, anywhere near the facility, we had to park a mile away and hike in (middle of the night, pouring rain out). We went to find closer parking throughout next day and still there was nothing closer. The staff at the facility was not helpful and extremely rude about the parking, with no empathy that it was completely pouring rain and guests having to walk GREAT lengths just to get to their rooms. It notes that parking is tight and most units allowed 1 car maximum well this wasn't the case, there was 0 parking anywhere even along the street and across the street were completely full! We called the 509-682-2582 provided to speak to someone regarding our concerns and ask about cancelling the rest of the trip we were, again, rudely spoken to about our reservations, this time was about us making the reservations through a third-party (VRBO) and that they couldn't help with our stay. But all the paperwork I have is from Grandviewonthelake (their website) not VRBO - I made the reservation through their website. At the end of the first day we opted to just get a different hotel that had parking for their guests and staff that were friendly and accommodating. I would not EVER recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

I was so looking forward to our stay at Grandview on the Lake in Chelan this June but am sorry to say that we were really disappointed. The furniture in the unit is extremely dated and beat up and the staff were unfriendly and inconsiderate. We made our reservation for 4 nights based on the photos on the Windemere website https://windermerevacations.com/grandview/393351/# but BEWARE these photos are from when the furniture was new. It is so beat up that the leather on the Sofa and Love Seat are worn away in many places, the carpet is dingy and well worn and the dining table has so many nicks and chips that we were worried about germs making a home in it. The beds were also so soft that you almost fell through when you laid on them. None of us had a comfortable nights sleep. Pillows were also threadbare and thin and the mattress and pillows must be at least 15 years old. At $500 a night I can't believe that the owners aren't working hard to make their guest's stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Each unit is individually owned so all I can say is that these owners should be ashamed of themselves! The other issue we had was that we were "fined" $500 for smoking OUTSIDE on the property without any warning or discussion. One of our group did smoke on the property but was unaware there were restrictions for this as there were NO signs and other guests were smoking and vaping in the same areas. Rather than approaching all the guests involved to let them know the policy, the management just charged the credit card on file indicating that we knew about the policy. I was the person that booked the room and I do not have ANY emails or paperwork indicating that there was a problem with smoking outside. When I went to the front desk to discuss the charge on the credit card I was told that I did know about the policy because I clicked on the link in their email. When I clicked on the link in the email they were referring to it took me to a blank page and I have NEVER been able to see the document they referred to. I tried to explain this to Ellie at the front desk and she said it didn't matter, she had already fined us and the others that were smoking. I can say this is an outright lie because we saw others smoking and they were NOT fined. Furthermore, there are several signs about not feeding the ducks but none of the people that ignored these signs were ever fined for disobeying this rule. I also read on another website that this is SOP for Grandview on the Lake and therefore, I have to assume this is their way of grabbing extra money without having to be decent human beings. DO NOT STAY AT GRANDVIEW ON THE LAKE UNIT 103 or any other unit here as you run the risk that you too could be truly disappointed. read more

This place is completely crappy. The rooms are individually owned and many as you an see from the photos are not updated. The exterior is screaming for help and dirty looking. The wall next to my side of the bed had some sort of a goober stuck to it (see picture). After phoning the front desk to nicely complain we were offered another room. I inquired if we could change the next day instead of immediately because it was 10 PM and we were exhausted after our very long drive and we had a lot of things to move. I was told no and if we didn't move now the option would not be extended. We decided to stay put, I wasn't long for the night since I had taken my sleeping pill already. The outside of the property is horribly kept and tired and old, the extensive outdoor carpet look as though it hadn't been vaccumed in months. The room was decent but dark, the staff is not friendly. The pool area looks decent in photos but is small and not comfortably designed. The kicker is upon departing, as we were closing our suitcases up (which we never unpacked because it was a only a quick two day stay here) we felt something was off with our bags being on the light side. When we got to my sister's house and unpacked we realized many of our things were missing. I called to the hotel and after checking with security I was told they didn't have our things. This was not a surprise because we didn't leave anything behind to be in security, instead, we're certain our roughly $500 of clothing items were instead taken by an employee at the hotel! Wondering how I can legally pursue this? FYI The Campbell across the river looked to be a way nicer spot to plan a stay at. Since we rolled in late that wasn't an option for us as it was S/O. Also, it has a lovely beach and a much nicer pool area. read more

We love this place and are heading there Memorial day weekend! Unfortunately, due to the piss-poor customer experience I just had with their booking agent, Windermere vacation rentals, I have to rate them 1 star. Jasmine was very matter-of-fact and completely unwilling to give an answer other than no when I asked if they could refund one card and just charge a different one. Unfortunately when I spoke to her manager Jonathan and let him know I was not happy with the service I just received an we'd never rebook through them, his response was a very nonchalant, "OK." He couldn't have cared less about my experience or the fact I said we wouldn't rebook! Wow, really? That's how you treat people? Great customer service skill. This in no way reflects on the actual employees and service at the Grandview property itself, but as long as they use Windermere as their booking agent, this is the last time we'll ever book Grandview. Lakeside Lodge is much better anyway and we would NEVER be treated like this. UPDATE: Read my review from December 2018 on Grandview. They just went from 4 stars to 1 b/c of their booking agents' terrible attitudes. Sad, but companies need to lose customers and money before they get the message. I tried to get ahold of Grandview to discuss this and resolve it with them directly but all numbers only go to Windermere Rentals. That's unfortunate. I hope they read this and make some changes. read more

First - the location is amazing. This used to be one of my favorite spots. It now is run down and poorly managed. I stayed in condo 302. I absolutely do not recommend this unit. It includes less then the bare minimums. The shelves are completely bare and not decorated at all. It is supposed to sleep 6 but only had 4 forks, 1 wine glass, 5 plates, 4 bowls, a broken can opener, a vegetable peeler that didn't peel, knives that didn't cut, a broken hairdryer, air conditioning units that did not fully function, a refrigerator that did not close fully and a deck (with a beautiful view) that you couldn't use because it would fill with liquid from the air conditioning unit. No working internet, extremely stained carpeting, updated bathrooms, a window facing the elevator (thankfully quiet) A management office that blamed the owner and zero customer service (but lots of promises). With the removal of chairs on the deck - wake up early and get outside or be ready to set up your own chairs on the lawn. There is a collection of broken air conditioning units, furniture and other items stacked in a giant pile in the garage. A strong fish odor on the way to the deck / pool area. If we were not looking for a kitchen - I would have stayed at Campbell's - I ultimately moved over there. read more

Buyer beware! We booked earlier in the year for an October stay. Well, we paid summer rates for a winter stay when pool and such was all closed up for winter (which we knew they would be closed). But when Winter rates at time of scheduled weekend were half the price we booked (and we are talking about $500+ lower) the right thing would be to adjust the rate to the time of reservation. Sketchy personnel and no management at best. They didn't even care to do what is right. Just said they couldn't help us after 3 messages and an email prior to our stay with no return call or email. They wouldn't even give me the manager's last name. That is how sketchy it is. The room was decent but not worth the money. Spend your hard-earned money at another establishment!! read more

Terribly disappointed in our experience this year. We've been going here for the past 10+ years. The WiFi is atrocious and can't even keep a connection. Don't expect to stream anything or even check your email. Why do they keep advertising WiFi that doesn't work? Today and yesterday the only elevator was "Out of Order" and so we needed to haul out luggage down the small flight of stairs. Couldn't use the luggage carts and strained our backs trying to check out. The AC units were failing to keep the room cold. They emailed "tips" about AC use (close doors, keep at 70 or above, etc.) but threatened to charge guests for misuse. We were sure to abide by these rules but you could tell how badly the AC units needed to be replaced. Some of the AC units gave off a musty odor as well. The master room King size bed in Room 303 was absolutely horrible to sleep in. They haven't been rotating the bed and so the side next to the bathroom was completely flat and out of any cushion. The other side was fine and actually decent. We woke up with the worst neck and back pain, and leg cramps in the middle of the night. The staff offered nothing other than to rotate and flip the bed. While rotating, we noticed undesirable stains on the pillow top. Since the rooms are furnished by a single owner, not Windermere, they couldn't swap mattresses. The front desk staff can only help getting you your key and few other tasks. I don't blame them but their customer service and ability to help alleviate any of our issues was not helpful. Most of our requests were met with blank stares and even an eye roll. No access to a manager and anyone with any authority to actually do anything. Windermeres and condo owners' tactic for cutting costs is apparent. We've been long time guests who will be going elsewhere for our next stay. Our group typically reserves 4-5 large rooms for a week at a time. Does Grandview even care? It's still been a few days after and management hasn't reached out to us. The only positive is the view but nothing else after our poor experience. read more

With the recent fires all of our outdoor activities in the area were canceled. Why would we come to a place that we can not enjoy because of the air pollution? The employees stated that regardless of this there is nothing they can do and that there would be no refunds. Have stayed here for family vacations the week after Labor Day for a couple years now but won't be returning after this last stay (Sept 2022). Unfortunately I'm just now getting to this review but I'm relieved to see other recent 1 star reviews. Our dad made the reservation for 2 dock-front suites but unfortunately was hospitalized with COVID. Since he was stable and didn't want us to lose the $, us 5 adult kids stuck with the vacation plans. We had a great time despite the issues with the ice machine and the hot tub jets not working. Halfway through our stay our dad received a call asking if management could replace our couch. Since we were actively using the room he asked if they could wait until we checked out the following day. Less than 10 min after we checked out my dad (who was still hospitalized) received a call that we had damaged the couch and would be charged $1,300. We were SHOCKED! Only my sister and myself stayed in that room and we sat on the couch once, didn't use pullout. We were especially weary since they had called the day before about replacing the couch. We turned around and went back to the resort. The very very young maintenance manager showed us the damage--it was a broken particle board underneath the couch. How it would break from one sitting, or how they even noticed that break was very suspicious. We had a heated conversation with the resort manager who was incredibly rude and said he can't trust that we didn't break it so he had to charge us. When we asked their process for checking damage before/after stays they said "we just check." He did agree to send me a repair quote before charging but within 1 hour my card was charged $150. I called and reminded him that he was going to send the quote. They sent a Word Doc that listed labor: $100 and supplies $50. No receipts or proof. The entire conflict ruined our trip and the good memories we had with the resort/Chelan. Such sketchy management. Will not be returning! read more

Completely disappointing - expensive for a crummy place. Stone pool looked so dirty and had hint of green around the edges. Couldn't bring ourseleves to use it. Walked out of our lake view room and a bat tried to attack us in the hallway. Reported it to front desk and the gal said, oh, i'll send up maintenance. Not a sorry, show of concern, nothing - to my surprise. So, I said -- you don't seem to be surprised. "her: smirk- we have a lot of bats around here." Had to wear a plastic wrist band with a fee attached if you don't return it or take it off. Fines posted in bathroom if you get a make-up on a towel, etc. Too weird. DON'T stay on room 204! The ac in the bedrooms are broken and don't cool the room very well. We barely slept during our stay. The knives in the unit don't cut so it was hard making and cooking food. We planned on a nice holiday weekend and thought that we'd try the Grandview. They have a fun hot tub and we were looking forward to using it. But guess what... they let babies and children use it, and one of them pooped in the tub and it was closed for the weekend!! Gawd... most places do NOT let kids in the tubs for that very reason! No refund but they offered to let us out of the cancellation fee if we wanted to go somewhere else... not what we felt was good customer service (but the guy who answered the front desk phone was very nice). (Updated 10 hours later): Ok, maybe my initial one-star review was an over-reaction. To their credit, the maintenance guy drained, cleaned and filled the entire spa quickly. By that night it was mostly up to temperature. The front office was incorrect in their initial estimate that it would be closed the entire weekend.) Fake fireplaces. They're electric. Cute apartments and very clean. Comfy beds. However the entire complex is a bit dated and run-down but made up for by amazing views down the lake. Super easy walk into town. Right on the river walk too. Really cool waterfront beach area for the warmer months. Big swim dock. Make sure you're on the top floor or you'll hear every step of the people above you. Overall we weren't that happy and will probably return to the other places we've stayed at on Lake Chelan in the future. Unfortunately I have stayed here on multiple occasions and just can't learn my lesson. The service at the front desk is horrible. I've seen reviews about the quality of the rooms, but the room I'm in is fairly decent. I just can't get past the lack of service when trying to check in. Every year they get a little more rude at the front desk. I'm not staying at a five star hotel and I'm not expecting much but honestly I think they are more accommodating at a "no tell" motel. The location is amazing. You would think management would focus on customer service. In this day and age there are just too many options to put up with less than dismal service. read more

We didn't have enough parking for our family and they made us pay an extra $25 a night for parking or you would have to park off property, not to mention they wouldn't give us enough wrist bands for our whole family. The ones that couldn't get wrist bands had to "sit in the room" and couldn't be enjoying the pool with the rest of the family. Now to the room, our room was very outdated and didn't even have basic kitchen tools. No cutting board? Sure we will gladly cut on your counter tops. This Hotel that's been in Chelan for years is a Disgusting pit 6/20/21 I arrived to find my room disgusting. The real touch was the funky Soft soap that was a funky green from refills! I wiped everything down only to find my Clorox wipes Black when I phoned the manager admitted to a shortage of cleaning staff . I looked for bed bugs and found Boogers wiped on the mattress cover I almost puked!! I could continue but , but they won't refund any part !! don't be fooled by pictures or the sweet voice on the other end of the phone, when I checked out she didn't ask " how was your stay " buyers beware ...... This hotel might look like a normal apartment to you. However, this hotel has a pool and an jacuzzi! The pool has a slide. You could take a floaty, then you could slide and go in the jacuzzi with it. The rooms are very nice with a cold and warm air conditioner. The rooms also have 2 beds that are hard and soft. read more

We've stayed at the GrandView many times and over the past 5 years it has really gone down hill. I've always had somewhat of an issue with the rates they charge because they do not keep up the property well and the outdoor amenities do not accommodate the number of guests they have during the summer months. A few winters ago, we stayed at the GrandView and when we walked out on to our room balcony, there were MASSIVE piles of animal feces all over the picnic area below. What a nice view huh? The smell was also abhorrent. We reported it to the front desk on our first day. They assured us that they would handle it and after a two night stay, guest what, it was still there. Totally untouched. Disgusting! We booked a reservation for the Summer of 2020, and cancelled without issue. We booked again over the phone for the Summer of 2021, we did not pay a deposit and did not sign any form of contract. We received an email confirmation and credit card on file confirmation, none of which contained their cancellation policy. We called to cancel 5.5 months before our reservation and were told that we needed to pay a fee of $125. Again, this "cancellation policy" was no where to be found in any of the confirmation emails they sent. It is buried in the footer of their website. I also know for a fact that they currently have a long waitlist for a unit like the one we had so they should be able to book it immediately. This is the worst customer service from a "hotel" that I have ever experienced. My husband and I have stayed at many very nice hotels and never have we had to pay a cancellation fee for cancelling so far in advance. Windermere Vacation Rentals is a joke. We will not be returning to the GrandView and will tell anyone we can what a horrible place this truly is. read more

When we made the booking it was not mentioned how close the unit was to the pool and it was VERY noisy. (We found used fireworks next to the pool in the AM) On the 3rd night of our 4 night stay two extremely intoxicated people got into our condo at 12:45 due to a faulty lock. I was terrified, my children were in the condo and after a lot of shouting I had to physically push the people out. The desk staff could not change our room after the incident and if there was anywhere else we could have gone we would have left. Loved the location and view but after feeling so unsafe we will not be returning. read more

The positives of this hotel/condo is it's location right in town, the majestic views from the rooms and the hot tub (as we went in the winter). I gave it the two stars because of the views and the fun that my kids had in the hot tub. However, our experience staying in room 640 was more than disappointing. We paid $840 for a two night stay and, at $400 a night, I expected a clean and comfortable stay. When we booked the room, it had pictures of a beautiful kitchen (and it was!) and described it as a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom that could sleep 8 people. What we found upon arrival was that the kitchen only had 3 bowls, 7 plates and 5 salad plates. Very disappointing when there are 8 of you and you wanted to use the kitchen to cook. We dealt with it and bought some paper plates and plastic silverware at Safeway. The living room has a couch, love seat and two recliner type chairs. The couches were very comfy but both of the chairs were broken. One had a spring that was broken and poked up right into your "bumhole" anytime you sat down. The other had a foot stool that went up but was broken. We called maintenance to fix it and they responded quickly. However, they told us they could not fix it and the Grandview does not keep additional furniture on site. One final issue was that the blanket that was left for use on the pull out couch had multiple hairs on it and really skeeved out the person who had to sleep on the couch. I get that it's a hotel accomodation and many people come through but...still kinda gross. I spoke to the manager upon our check out to let him know of our disappointment and concerns so that they can rectify it for future guests. His response was also disappointing. He essentially said that the condos are already discounted (winter pricing), blamed house keeping for the lack of dishes, and with each issue I shared, asked me if we had called the front desk. He told me that he hoped the next time we come to stay, we will call the front desk each time we have issues such as these. I informed him that, for the price point, I don't expect that we will be back again. For $400 a night, there are many places that we could choose to stay and probably have a more satisfying experience. None of these issues ruined out time there with friends and family but it was a less than satisfying experience for the money being spent. read more

The smell of wet dog was prominent and ghastly. I think I finally did acclimate by the 2nd night however. I booked for 3 nights as I had 2 jobs in the area going on. I realized by the afternoon of the 2nd day that I could leave a day early, my jobs were not ready for completion, come back in a few weeks they said. Fine. I let the front desk know immediately that I would be checking out in the morning. I checked out the next morning and was told that a receipt would be emailed to me. 6 days went by and I did not see my final receipt. I called about it and it was immediately emailed to me. I see the charge for 3 nights, not 2. I called and was told that because it is a vacation rental (A fact I did not know at the time I called and reserved) that the sale is final. Why was this not made clear at the time of reservation? Buyer beware of this place. read more

I love staying at this location right on the water big rooms great pool and hot tub. But this time I came things are starting to look more run down. Time to update some of the old furniture and do some painting. read more

Not impressed. Great view but our room was sad. We asked to be moved and were accommodated but the next room was almost as tired. Dirty carpets, doors broken and hooks hanging. Very uncomfortable bed - we slept in holes, pilled bedding. Dirty chairs, no screen on the patio door...it's just not good anymore! read more

Horrible room horrible customer service manager was no help the room was disgusting. The reason I booked a 2 night stay here is because I've stayed here once before on a bachelorette weekend I figured all rooms would be similar... plus I booked because of the hotels pool bar and hot tub (the amenities) when we arrived to the room the first thing we noticed was the smell it was muggy, how it strongly smelled of mildew that's been rotting in this humid and stale smelling room that could pass for a hole in the wall motel... THEN went to open the window and the window sill is filled with dead and half alive bugs spiders gnats and flies and the outside window was riddled with spider webs and the view we had was the trash and recycling pit. Looking around the room I had to check the mattress for bed bugs this is how truly disgusting this place was, while looking around I found old hair, puzzle pieces, gum wrappers all in plain sight.. I called the front desk to ask for an upgrade that I was willing to pay for and she said that they had no rooms available. We go to the pool to get a cocktail and the bars closed we go to the hot tub THAT WAS CLOSED AS WELL. We didn't end up staying our second night due to the fires and smoke and how dead and closed the town was and how rude the manager was when I asked him for a refund on the second night DUE to the fires in chelan and not feeling safe (the restaurant managers in chelan told us that employees went home early to check to see if they're houses caught fire ) SO not very safe being that close to burning wildfires. The night before we stayed at Campbell's resort and it was great! 2 bars a hot tub that were up and running just fine. My husband and I came to Chelan to celebrate our one year anniversary. Campbell's was our first choice but was completely booked so from reviews, GrandView seemed to be the next best option. The location was the only great thing about it. It's located very close to the main strip so it was nice to be able to walk to breakfast. We arrived and were greeted with "What room are you checking into, sign this paper, here are your keys" type of greeting. Not very warm. Room cleaning is not included and is $35 if you want it. You have to come down to the front desk to get new towels. The place is just run down. There were stains on our couch, we could not find the tv remote (eventually found it stuffed inside a cushion), tv was super old, toaster didn't work, furniture was very old and scratched, lamp still had a tag on it, shower temperature would go from Luke warm to scolding hot in seconds without adjusting the knob, and we found trash behind the side table. It was just gross. When we checked out, the girl at the front desk said, "ok you're all set." No "How was your stay or Thank you for your stay." Very odd. read more

The GrandView has a grand view of Lake Chelan...there really isn't a better view of the lake. Its an easy walk across the bridge into downtown Chelan too. Best of all, its under new management. read more
