Dr. Nancy has been my dentist for the last 2-3 years and I've always had the best experiences. So I was sure to follow her to her new practice. She is super thorough and my teeth feel extremely clean after. She was also the first dentist to ever tell me and show me that I had a wisdom tooth that'll need extracting in the future. Also, another plus is that she doesn't try to upsell fluoride/ other services AND she actually does the majority of my cleanings. I can go on and on.. read more

When I went to get my 4 tooth's refilled we went they did them and said it was done perfectly and when I went to check with another dentist they said that they have messed up and gone through my canals and messed me up bad and would not recommend coming here read more

I made the appointment to get a cleaning and entered my insurance and health information online. The office called me several times and I received several phone calls to confirm the appointment and to ask for my insurance information. I did confirm each time and sent my information both directly to the office and through the system. However, when I arrived, they let me know that they did not have my insurance information approved yet (even though they called me just 1/2 hour before my appointment to confirm it). This experience was very odd and the office seemed VERY disorganized. Also, inside the office, it smelled like Glade Plug-Ins, which is very insensitive to those with allergies. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Riviera Family dentistry was negative and I'd like to detail the issues I faced. I had to go to Riviera Family Dentistry due to one of my back molars partially breaking near the holidays, and I needed to find a dentist that could quickly assist me, and went for the first option I found which was Riviera. Upon my arrival for my evaluation, they had major issues in pulling up my insurance information which caused a delay of over an hour (on a work day). After they told me the crown I needed and some gum cleaning, the cost would be a little less than $1000 after insurance which I agreed to and specifically asked if they accept Care Credit, to which I was told yes. Later on that day they TEXTED ME ASKING TO PROVIDE MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER BECAUSE THEY MISPLACED IT. Just to make that clear again, they asked me to provide a Social Security Number via Text, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. And told them they can call me so I can provide that number, but already I began feeling quite uneasy over my choice to come here. On my 2nd appointment, I was set to get the scan for my crown and have a temporary crown installed in the meantime. On my arrival, I again mention the use of Care Credit to which they said I need to have the physical card, which is incorrect. Come to find out that this establishment did not have their Care Credit platform even set up properly. I actually train at my company over the use of Care Credit, and tried to help and educate on how they can process this, and we waited, waited, and waited for a manager to appear. Then waited and waited more until they called Care Credit and got their Care Credit Account opened. I couldn't believe that I was sitting there and actually educating them on how to use Care Credit, that was one of the most strange experiences of my life. Then I was told to sign a consent form related to Laughing Gas usage (which I'd never done before), however when I went in for treatment and mentioned it I was told this would be an additional charge which I obviously refused. Things only get SUBSTANTIALLY WORSE unfortunately, THEY LOST MY CROWN AND DID NOT INVESTIGATE FURTHER. I was told that in 2 weeks (which would land the first week of January) that I would be called again when the tooth has arrived so we can schedule the install, however I never received a call. I tried to give benefit of the doubt due to the holidays, and between being busy with work and life, I still hadn't received a call, so I decided to call them on January 16th, only to discover that my tooth was delivered to them on January 2nd but they somehow lost it/didn't receive it, and DID NOT INVESTIGATE OR DO ANYTHING UNTIL I CALLED THEM ON JANUARY 16th. If I had never called them that day, I would have never received my tooth, so they had to now get it re-done at the lab and I had to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks with a temporary crown until I could get my install done today. I could not believe the unprofessionalism, and complete lack of urgency! My install was completed today (January 31st) and I can say with certainty that I will NEVER come back to this dentist office. Even today they gave me a consent form to sign, however it was randomly in Spanish (I speak Spanish as well, however this is to re-highlight how extremely unorganized the staff here is). The upfront staff is extremely unorganized and the mismanagement being done is causing a huge disservice to whoever fully runs this establishment and is hoping it will flourish into a successful office with long-term patients. I'd like to also say, the actual dentistry itself was fine by Dr. Vernon, but all these other issues with the rest of the staff is a huge deterrent. I hope their team can figure out how to be organized and professional, and to anyone investigating where to get dental work done, I do not recommend going to Riviera Family Dental. read more

I had an issue with a crown approval. My issue is with Luke Vernon the dentist I saw a few times. Most of the dental assistants were rude. I could feel the tension after I left a voice message that I was upset due to getting two letters in the mail from Health First Colorado regarding denial due to Luke Vernon not doing what insurance needed him to do and the insurance company let him know as well. Magically after I left that message the next day a dental assistant from Riveria Family Dentistry called me and said the insurance approved the crown but yet the never bothered to call me to tell me until I called and complained. I find it hard to believe and I don't trust Luke Vernon. Call it a gut feeling. Luke tried to minimize his wrong doing and basically put the blame on Medicaid's hands. I didn't believe a word he was saying. I refused the crown once I heard that and he explained I had six months to come back. Well I won't be back I'm going to find a competent Dentist and dental assistants who can be professional. I did have a nice dental assistant originally the first visit I had X-rays and the dental assistant at my last visit was very sweet and professional but can't say much for the rest. When I checked in today for the crown visit I couldn't even get out my name and she interrupted me and said my name and we will be with you soon. I could tell by their demeanor and the way I was treated after the crown denial call they talked about in negative way. I'm going to find a new dentist office who can remain professional at all times and a dentist who is accountable for his actions and can be trusted. Another interesting part is my daughter went twice to Riveria as well and said they were rude even though I never told her about any of this. This speaks volumes to what I'm saying. Don't waste your time please go somewhere else where you can be treated professionally like a patient should be treated. read more
