if I could leave 0 stars I would! My family and I, left 2 washing machines for fixing and left my name and number. Expecting a call in the next 1 to 3 weeks which I never received. life goes on and it randomly comes up in conversation and you realize it's a month later, so you head back thinking 'They should be fixed by now'. We were told that didnt fix them, because They lost our contact info. We were then offered a third free washer along with ours fixed and ready in a week. We agreed and then put down 2 contact infos. life goes on, angain no phone call and a little over a month goes by, we head back. Not only are our washers not physically at this business, but the Owner doesn't know what happened to them and continues to yell and claim it's our fault for not coming back to pick them up sooner. OK prices, was told they had good service and an extended warranty. The appliance was delivered rapidly, although the the installation was done poorly and needed some tweaking. Later had an issue and was told the part was unavailable but covered under the extended warranty. I could find the part doing a web search. I could not be happier with my new appliances and the installation. We originally bought four appliances from Home Depot but after many delays and installation miscues and outright lies by HD's install team we went to Rix. We bought a dishwasher and microwave, the same ones we had previously bought from HD that their install team could not install. We saved $300 from the HD price, the appliances were delivered and installed without a hitch. After telling the installers from Rix the problems we had with the stove that HD installed, the determined the stove was not leveled and one leg used to leave was broken clean off. Not their appliance or their job but they fixed it before leaving. I will never buy an appliance from HD again. Save yourself headaches and heart aches. Go to Rix's! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. When delivering our refrigerator to our brand new home, Rix damaged our door frame. We've contacted them multiple times and even gone in person to the store on several occasions to ask for the frame to be repaired. They've promised to repair our frame and yet, one year later, here we are with the door frame still damaged. Would not recommend! Awful customer service, not worth the price or pain. read more

My exchanges with Rix were the worst customer service I have encountered in a while. My Frigidaire refrigerator broke and the technician from Ron's Appliances suggested I go to Rix as they had the same model. So I went to Rix's retail location. First, the store looks extremely run down and pretty sketchy. There were about 20 washers and dryers strewn about in front of the store with parts on top of them, on the side of them, and on the ground. The people in the store said they didn't have the Frigidaire model but gave me the information for a Whirlpool (to their credit, it was priced cheaper than Home Depot). The gentleman handling the front desk answered my questions halfheartedly while looking at his phone. Once I got home and realized the Whirlpool wouldn't fit in the space, I called Rix and talked to Heather and told her I needed a counter-depth fridge. She then called back and gave me the model number for another Whirlpool which ended up being almost the exact depth as the previous model and therefore wouldn't fit in the space. I called the tech at Ron's Appliances who told me I needed to talk to the owner of Rix, Rick, who knew about the model of my original fridge. I then called Rix and asked to talk to Rick. The man at the front counter sounded annoyed and said he wasn't there but that I should call back later. Long story short, I called back something like 20 times over two days. Most of the time no one would answer the phone and the voicemail was full. Other times, the gentleman at the front desk would answer and just say I needed to call back. At one point, I got hold of the mythical Rick, who told me to call him back in the morning at 8am. Guess what happened the next day? I called back 6 times over the course of the morning and never even got through or had someone answer the phone. My refrigerator is broken, my family is using coolers to keep our food cold and the people at Rix care so little that they can't be bothered to answer the phone. read more

Did that. 1:00 service man called and was on his way to the house. 2:00 machine repaired and processing the first load. Could not have been done more quickly or efficiently. Great service. read more

Purchased a stove 2 months ago, oven never worked. Was told every excuse in the book. Well yesterday after the owner hung up on me, I went to pay him a visit. Well he had just left. I asked where I could wait as the owner hung up on me. Some guy about 500 pounds tells me " I wouldnt do that if I were you"! I inquire who this person was and he tells me hes the owner and for me to get out of his store! What the hell is wrong with these people? I still would like to meet bigboy out on the town and see if hes as bad from the store and see if he can back up any of his bad talk from yesterday. This place is an absolute joke! I ordered a stove and waited weeks for it to come in, which wasn't a big deal to me. The washer comes in and has multiple dents in the stainless steel. Called them over and over to resolve the issue. It took weeks to get someone to answer the phone. I paid for a new stove, and this one looks like it was bought used off of Facebook marketplace! So I called and talked with someone who said they'd order the parts that were dented and get them replaced. Weeks go by, and nobody ever calls to tell me the parts are in so me and my husband take a trip up to Rix to see what is the deal. Initially, the owner told me there was nothing he could do but give me a store credit, and I told him I don't want a store credit. I want the stove replaced with one that doesn't have dents all over it! Why would I buy anything else in this store after my experience? It was comical to me that he even offered me a store credit. He told me parts were never ordered for my stove and he proceeded to dog his son out saying it was all his fault and he had lied to me and his son had been so awful lately that they had numerous problems he had created with numerous customers. He was cussing and speaking so poorly of his own son. It was sad really. Long story short he said he'd contact the manufacturer of the stove and get back with me and of course that never happened either. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The owner came out the door with the worst attitude I've EVER seen. His body language showed it all, but he had to continue with his foul mouth. I've NEVER seen someone open the bay door to load the appliances for a customer and started off cussing and ranting about store policy, when all we did was asked to see it before accepting it. When he opened the door, my husband said " Is like for you to open it so we can inspect the front". He went ballistic!! To say the least. Don't expect your washer or anything delivered within a reasonable amount of time at all. Don't expect them to call before they deliver either. My washer was paid for over a week ago- I rent, so I'm treated like a second class citizen. They told us a Thursday or Friday for delivery. It is now Tuesday of the following week and still no delivery. After multiple possible dates for delivery they couldn't keep any promises. read more

My 3rd purchase at Rix. I've NEVER had any poor experiences with Bubba or anyone at RIX as posted here. I deal with Rick or Bubba. I bought a LG washer, 65" Samsung TV and a 28.0 cubic ft Samsung refrigerator all with 5 year warranties ALL on separate occasions and all are still great or are trouble free. Rix's beats anybody's price and have great delivery/setup personnel as well. Make sure to ask what reports Rick or Bubba hear about any product you may wanting to buy from a BIG BOX store etc. but, might have way more troubles than it's worth. Do your homework first, then ask RIX. Awesome store and group of guys! Always a repeat customer here. read more

I visited Rix Audio, Video & Appliance several years ago & was never even acknowledged by Bubba, the owner's son, as I walked in the door & stood at the counter for over 5 minutes (while he was on a personal call). It wasn't until I finally walked out the door that he ran after me in the parking lot, as I got into my car & drove away. I was there to buy a TV for the office where I work. Flash forward to YESTERDAY. I am currently in need of a washer/dryer. I decided to give Rix another chance (since Im told they have the best prices in town & I really need to save some money). So, I visited Rix yesterday and was greeted by the nicest, most knowledgeable salesperson (NOT Bubba) as soon as I walked in the door - he spent time explaining the good, bad & ugly of various washers/dryers. After leaving the store, I realized that I forgot to ask a couple of simple questions. I call (twice) to ask those two questions and Bubba answers the phone...I hear him say to the nice salesman, "It's that lady with a thousand questions!" #ByeRix I will gladly spend the extra money to buy from someone that isn't annoyed by a consumer's questions. (FYI: If you work in retail, your job is to answer questions & sell the product. If answering questions annoys you, you should probably pick a different career. I started looking for a new TV a few months ago. I wanted to make sure I was getting not only the best one on the market, but a good deal as well. I'd went into one of the bigger chain stores here in town & got less than helpful service & almost no knowledge from the workers there. A friend suggested I check out Rix. The guys there were so helpful!! Every question I had was answered. The guy (I believe Bubba) gave me more information than I even knew I needed!! We needed a new wall oven of a certain measurement so we would not have to tear the kitchen apart to replace the 60 year old one we had. Rick was absolutely great. He showed us a Maytag that not only fit right into the spot but had more space inside the oven. the old oven had so much wasted outer insulation that I could not cook a large pizza in it. Plus, the price was nice and low, and had a warranty. The Maytag allows me to cook a giant pizza. After a few months, when I had it set to broil (500°) the oven started beeping and lights were flashing. Nothing in the instruction book prepared me for this, so I called Rix. Rick personally came and replaced the faulty oven. Years have gone by and I've had no further problem. read more

Almost 5 years ago we had a new house built in Auburn. After shopping all the big box stores in the Auburn/Opelika area, even checking out Montgomery, we bought all of our kitchen applainces at Rix. That included the refrigerator, stove top, double wall oven, dish washer, garbage compactor and freezer. We also bought our televisions and accompanying sound bars from them. Their prices were significantly lower than all of their competitors on the high end models my wife had selected. All of the appliances were delivered on schedule and set up in a professional manner. Recently, our four plus year old Frigidaire freezer began defrosting too often. Rick diagnosed it over the phone and told us we needed to replace the timer. The problem was we were leaving town that day and would be gone for a week. Rick worked with his servicemen, they were able to break into their schedule and replace the timer, after normal work hours. The quick repair was important to us because the faulty timer could not only result in loss of all our food, but could also overheat and start a fire. It took a while to come (which he warned me about to begin with) but so happy I could afford to wait since it's a remodel. Short story: our dishwasher went out. After months of research to find the right dishwasher, the stove went out. I had to start the whole process over with the stove being the center point. Months later I decided on the exact stove and dishwasher. After an exhausting trip to all the box stores (my hubby wants to touch them before we buy), he suggested we stop at Rix, I'm wondering who can post my bail. I've already determined who has the best prices and fasted delivery, right? Wrong! Rix beat everyone's prices and had everything in stock. I saved enough to buy the over the range microwave I wanted. Witch was understandable until it took 15 phone calls and 3 in store appearances to convince them I was important enough to be priority. Additionally my dish washer doesn't dry but the effort it would take to get them to fix it would be better spent finding a person to fix it. Good luck if you choose them. The entire time we were there, they blasted the tv's volume and never looked at us when they spoke. Unfortunately, my Aunt insisted on buying from them. Over the last few years we have purchased 11 appliances from Rix, new construction cabin and home kitchen redo, and washer/dryer x2. COVID has caused delays, but yesterday my new stove and microwave were delivered earlier than scheduled by the owner himself. While here, I told him about a squeak in my washer, which he fixed. He also pointed out some features on the stove that I asked him about. Bubba, the owner's son, is my go-to person at the front desk. His wife Heather works in the store now, an added bonus. She helped me decide on a dishwasher a few months ago. Another son installed my dishwasher in no time flat. That place is extremely busy and I too have felt their stress at times. You know people are quick to give a bad review and slow to give a good one. I'm thrilled to have everything "in" now before the holidays. I called to thank them today. I bought a washer-dryer duo from Rix a few years back and was very happy with the appliance, the price and the experience. When the washer boot got bent out of shape and the washer started leaking, Rix was the first place I turned to for the repair. That was Jan 24. After two months, and at least six follow-up calls or texts (all initiated by me), I finally gave up. Rix didn't order my replacement boot until two weeks after my first contact; it didn't arrive for another couple weeks after that. Then I couldn't get a commitment on when the service could be performed. When I let Rix know I'd gone another route, I got two calls in quick succession, one of which warned ominously that I'd pay "three times as much" for my alternate repair service instead of letting Rix do it, since they were "already coming to [my] house today" (news to me!). The second conversation was particularly uncomfortable, implying that the delay in service was somehow my own fault. Incidentally, the other service I finally called ordered the part immediately and will have it Monday afternoon, has me scheduled for a specific time slot on Tuesday (four days from now), and has already given me a firm price for parts and labor...all with the utmost courtesy. I'm looking forward to leaving him my review next week. read more

No one ever showed up and Everytime I would call asking where they were, the person was extremely rude, never apologized or even gave me a time frame. They just never showed.
