    Angel M.

Hi, I wanted to submit a tip for illegal/scam activity done by RK Centers landlord in Sunny Isles, FL. Short story-I parked at Marshals plaza on 16800 Collins Ave in Sunny Isles FL. Plaza is quite big and has many tenants. The landloof the plaza towed my car from the plaza after I came to visit local shops. Less than 2 hours later cars was not there. Asked police-they said RK Centers are running a legal scam by towing cars from the public plazas in Sunny Isles. I paid and picked up my car and all sensors were flashing and check engine was lit up. It's new Mercedes car dragged off the public parking lot with stores parked legally. This is amazing scam in South Florida. Please follow up and unacceptable. I'm willing to go to court against RK Centers for their scam scheme. Thanks

Beware!! They are running a scam. Your car will be towed even though you're doing onsite shopping. Save $151 and go shopping elsewhere.

Yelp Review 2026 #218:…read more I was very impressed by this mall. I felt like I was in a different country with all the nice shops and eateries. Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Hermes, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Armani, Lacoste, Lululemon, Alo, Nike, Charlotte Tilbury, Apple, Sephora, Eataly, Laderach, etc. Restaurants include Japanese, Italian, Latin, etc. They have a food hall called Treats that has everything: Chinese, Japanese, pizza, Cuban sandwich, bakery, Jamaican, etc. But what caught my attention was all the artwork spread throughout Aventura Mall. From Takashi Murakami, Austin Lee, Robert Indiana, and 23 other pieces by different artists in a series they call ArtWalk. They're very dog-friendly. We saw hundreds of dogs and their humans - not sure if there was an event or if this was just the norm here. But it was fun to watch cute little puppies. I visited during the World Cup and they had an area dedicated for it. They had a pop-up FIFA store which had items I wanted but haven't found at the stadiums. The mall is bright with natural lighting during the day. Nice and cool which is a nice reprieve from the unforgiving sun and summer heat. It's spacious and clean.

I used to work nearby and would walk here everday on my lunch hour for something to do. But there really wasn't much here. Then they began to do a lot of contruction and I switched jobs. now i've been back, it looks really nice. A few resturants added, and a bit more reason to stick around. Mostly I come here for the Winn Dixie. Here's a few tenants: Winn Dixie Supermarket, movie theater, TJ Maxx, Old Navy, and Bermuda Bar & Grill. And a few more but i can't remember the name. But its a nice looking upgrade to what was there before!

It just puzzles me how places like the Ipic cinema or any of the restaurants can present themselves in such a filthy way, their excuse being that its not their responsibility to do it, but, still, its the face you are presenting, go pick up the trash in front of you, its your planet after all. Anyway, apparently there is a new security/management company and they seem on top of their game, the mall is spotless now (maybe fat Dezer read my review). Really personable managers Carlos and Willie are making sure the mall is now well kept as far as trash, there's a nice lady in a golf cart with oversize tweezers picking up stuff, nice. ...but don't go on weekends, there's an out of control crowd that rent big party boats, mostly black people for some reason and they come back totally trashed and really misbehave, hey, have to call it like it is! Diners sat at Duffys and other restaurants are exposed to the very worst of drunken behavior by those who are shouting loud for equality, as my Dominican (black) friend remarked as we experienced the worst of food at Duffys, "woah, that's not a good look for our cause''! The Duffys white middle-aged burger eaters are not the type to forgive their already ingrained stereotype and the shitfaced crowd disembarking are just what they want to cement their discriminatory thoughts. Admittedly they are mostly out of town tourists having a good time and don't give a shit how they are being perceived, shame really, all I ask is don't chuck your Hennessy bottles in the mangroves, its so hard to get them out of the tangled roots), oh and just because every other word in a song nowadays is ''fucking'' it doesn't mean you have to repeat them. Oh, and please, if you don't have the body for a thong don't bring it on vacation with you, my God. Try a weekday if you thinking about going to the Intracoastal mall.

My friend and I came to the shopping plaza for the pop up shop Max'd Out Donuts by Miami's donut king, Max Santiago. He has consulted on opening donut shops all around the world. This was my first time visiting this shopping plaza and it seemed upscale and well kept. There is a fountain near where the donut store will be. There is a nice mixture of the kinds of stores people need, along with services, and dining. Parking is easy and plentiful. It was the home of a huge Morrison's Cafeteria where I remember many lunches with my mom. With the closing of Byrons, and no new anchor store taking over, the space was vacant for a time. Then the bank built itself a freestanding location, the entire mall was purchased by a management company, and the decision was made to turn the property into a strip mall. Some stores remained open during the total renovation/rejuvenation of the building. Most went out of business or moved to new locations. There was a bookstore, but like all those beautiful gems taking the wayside to ebooks, the store went out of business. There used to be a great authentic Italian restaurant, Tony's. They have since moved out to Hollywood beach as a pizza joint and no longer a fancy dinner place. They had a movie theater which had two screens and offered double features. In the very end there were reports of bugs in the popcorn, and the floor was extremely sticky, but where else could you spend less than $6 for almost 4 hours of entertainment. But, alas this was torn down with the rest of the mall. Now, there is a Goodwill and LA Fitness. A new Publix in the center with a few restaurants, TJ Maxx a bank and a jewelry store, Burt's Jewelers. The newest addition to the rejuvenated mall is tge drive-thru Starbucks that took over where Bockbuster used to be.
