Terrible and unfair experience at Marshall's - 16800 Collins Ave, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 Our car was towed while we were still on the premises of the Marshall's located at 16800 Collins Ave. The vehicle was parked properly, and we were inside the store shopping. We even have the receipt to prove our purchase. Just 10-15 minutes after we walked away from the register, we saw our car being towed -- right in front of us. All of our belongings were left inside the vehicle -- IDs, money, documents, everything. When we tried to contact the towing company, none of the phone numbers worked. Every line was busy or went unanswered, no matter how many times we called. When we came to the towing company (Dolphin Towing & Recovery) we spoke to a person at the office on-site, who said he would not deal with the situation. He refused to show us any camera footage and made it clear that unless we were ready to pay, we had to leave. No proof was ever provided that we had left the property -- because we hadn't. This situation was not only frustrating, it was completely unjust. We were treated with zero respect or consideration. BEWARE OF YOUR CAR GETTING TOWED WHILE SHOPPING IN THIS PLAZA. The owners of the plaza has some unethical private agreement with Dolphin Towing in north miami beach. He has squatters waiting outside the plaza for you to leave your car for a while when shopping inside, when you come out it's towed and held hostage at dolphin towing. When you get to the tow shop, there is a sign when you walk in that says "RK Plaza tows $210" so obviously this happens everyday. Beware as countless other reviews show, RK is running a scam on tourists by towing paying customers cars away and holding them hostage for $210. RK Centers has admitted in BBB responses they have paid spotters. My wife was in a knee scooter and we had our 2 young children get fussy so we left the coffee shop early and tried to walk them around to calm them down. Within 15 minutes our car was gone. Early morning, probably 90% of the spaces still available. RK copy/pastes a response about people admitting they left the premises, but if their paid spotters see a hobbling wife and 2 crying children and can't give an ounce of grace or understanding, then that's bad business and terrible ethics. TOW AWAY ZONE SIGNS need to be placed where people actually can see them, with vivid colors. I parked here, and when I came back my car was gone. I was so confused because I am not from the area. A lady told me that it was most likely towed and pointed at a sign that I clearly did not see. The sign was placed in the corner of a big building with BABY BLUE LETTERS! We had a horrible experience at RK mall on Sunny Isles Beach in Collins Avenue our vehicle was towed even though we were customers inside the nail salon. We have all the proof necessary so our car should've been returned to us without having to pay but we were forced to pay and all the people involved are lying Including the nail salon people the MO management people and the towing company to keep our money. Our car was towed from RK lot today. We parked the car at 1pm and went shopping around the two plazas where the parking lot is located. We parked the car far from other vehicles right in the puddle in the parking spot behind the plaza so that the car doesn't create problems for other vehicles, as it is quite big. We came back at 2:45 and didn't find the car. We didn't leave the plazas. We were shopping. A towing company representative in the office offered 3 different explanations of why the vehicle was towed with no proof at all. He was lying that we left the plazas or that we went to the building where we live. Then he told that he was making up the rules of parking a car. He obviously was mocking us and bulling in the end when I was just trying to ask him explain the rules of parking so that my vehicle isn't towed again. He completed his speech with claiming that I am not allowed to park my car in the plaza parking lot at all. He also insulted us as I told him that I am not a native speaker I asked him to speak more slowly and told me to leave the States if I don't know the rules. This is inappropriate behavior and such people mustn't work as this guy is a liar and just rude. RK Centers have a great side business with this towing cars of their customers. RK Centers representative was of no help either sending ,e to the towing company. And the towing company - guess what - sent me to question RK Centers management. They placed a couple of signs telling that "unauthirised vehicles" will be towed, but what the term "ubauthirised vehicles" mean - no one knows, but I must know it. The police officer at the plaza couldn't offer any help either as by law RK Centers can do what they want at their private property and let cars be towed for no reason. We are customers of many shops in these plazas, we spend our money at these plazas almost every day - so we are RK customers - and this situation shows how bad customer service is and how careless the management of these plazas is. Hi, I wanted to submit a tip for illegal/scam activity done by RK Centers landlord in Sunny Isles, FL. Short story-I parked at Marshals plaza on 16800 Collins Ave in Sunny Isles FL. Plaza is quite big and has many tenants. The landloof the plaza towed my car from the plaza after I came to visit local shops. Less than 2 hours later cars was not there. Asked police-they said RK Centers are running a legal scam by towing cars from the public plazas in Sunny Isles. I paid and picked up my car and all sensors were flashing and check engine was lit up. It's new Mercedes car dragged off the public parking lot with stores parked legally. This is amazing scam in South Florida. Please follow up and unacceptable. Absolutely garbage establishment. They have been knowingly towing people for years who legally park at their property. According to towing company they have security and cameras watching for the second you leave their property (eg, the gas station on the same block) and will call towing company immediately and get kickbacks. Towing company showed me a list of 60 other cars they towed there yesterday when I went to pick up our car after it was legally parked at the gym and we showed them a picture of family member inside the gym who had parked the car alone. Another customer who got robbed by getting car towed. I parked early morning and Marshall's wasn't open yet. Decided to walk around the area. When I came back, car was gone. I get that they want to make sure that people don't use the parking lot to go to the beach or visit the condos and want to save spots for actual customers. However, it wasn't the case this AM. You park the car, go shopping and at their own questionable judgement Dolphin will virtually kidnap your car and charge you $101.00 to recover it in their "facilities". I was with my wife and two kids 2 and 4 years old, went to Burger King at RK (I have the bill) and when I left my car was simply gone with kids stuff, food, drinks, diapers, documents... No notice, warning, nothing. I went to Dolphin location and very unpolite guys charged me to take my car. No choice. They refused to give their names behind a bullet-proof window. So like the many others I was towed from this premises. We got coffee/breakfast and then moved our car as we had parked in a 15 min spot. When we parked we went to meet a family member down the street at another RK mall and by the time we came back the car had been towed (ironically we were going to have more coffee in the same place but obviously decided against that). We had a guy come up to us (who we're assuming worked for the security company having read the many reviews) who told us it had been towed and had a video of it but pretended to be an innocent bystander to obviously avoid any confrontation. Having called to dispute this, they stated that once you leave the premises they have the right to tow your car regardless of whether you bought something at the mall or not. The person at RK said that we "must have crossed the street" as that is when they decide to tow but when I asked how they would have known that (also we didn't cross the street) but they got flustered and said they didn't have the time to talk to me and that I could bring it to small claims court. They stated that its their policy but what's interesting is we went back to car park and we couldn't find any signage that stated that but we have seen it in other car parks. I'm really surprised that for the length of time this has been going on that this hasn't been investigated. read more

I went to try out the winners training center gym for the first time! Couldn't locate the gym so I ended up walking to the end of the plaza trying to locate the gym! I got to the end of the plaza then turned back around! On the walk back to the other side of the plaza I found the gym location! I went to the gym did a full body workout that took me 2 hours! Once I came out I realized my car was missing! Dolphin towing towed my car stating I left the plaza!! I have provided physical prove from the gyim & my Apple Watch showing i indeed was at the gym not outside of the plaza as stated! They gave me the run around, I spoke to several un professional and very rude employees of the rk center basically stating it doesn't matter if I was at the gym it doesn't change the fact I stepped out of the plaza location!! They make that plaza business look like they are in a bad neighborhood, but they certainly aren't. RK towed our car from the 17100 parking lot, via the Dolphin Towing company. We went to the RK Center office to show our receipt, giving them proof that we were in the plaza shopping but our car got towed anyways. Unbelievable! Sandra from the office was horribly rude and did not care about the situation, that we must pay for the towing regardless for being a paying customer. We even asked to see the security cameras since they claimed thy had proof that we left, but they were not willing to cooperate and said the towing company had the footage. When we went to the towing company, they said RK would have the footage! Crazy right?! What kind of high end company has that kind of customer service for a paying customer of their very own plaza, they do not care about customers, they simply steal money like a bunch of mobsters. In my end I will advise all of my friends, celebrity clients, and more to discontinue coming to any RK Plaza as they ridiculously tow cars of paying customers. After my goose, g, got off the shock leash he (she) sandwiched himself (herself) between the 2 "t"s in the sign of Matteos and it took the heroic actions of a part-time fire-fighter to un lodge him.
