We could not possibly recommend RK Construction enough. We just completed a large project that included an addition, kitchen and bath renovation, heat pump system install, floor installation and refinishing, painting, and exterior work including new siding and patio. We were continuously put at ease during what should have been a completely overwhelming process by the kindness and expertise from Ralph, Manny, Mike, Tracey, and all their vendors and subcontractors. On top of providing top-tier service and doing beautiful work, RK came in under time and on budget. During the planning phase, Ralph was easy to communicate with, very detailed and patient in his explanations of the process, and presented us with exactly the design we asked for. During the construction phase, Manny served as job supervisor and was onsite every day caring for our home as though it was his own. My husband and I both work hybrid schedules and the bulk of the work was done during our daughter's summer vacation, so at least one of us was always in the way of the work being done. Manny, Mike, and everyone respected our space, cleaned the site daily, and took extra care to accommodate our needs. Manny was a wonderful partner to us throughout the process - he knew when to execute exactly what we wanted and he knew when we were indecisive or overwhelmed and how to guide us. He served as conductor and coordinator of so many moving parts and made it seem smooth and seamless. Throughout the process, we met with vendors for cabinetry, appliances, tile, countertops, and plumbing fixtures as well as their subcontractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, tiling, and hardscaping. The respect and admiration each of them had for Ralph and all of the RK crew was evident in talking to them and served as a huge reassurance for us. We solicited quotes from three contractors. RK Construction did not come in at the lowest price. They use high-quality products and their craftsmanship is intentional and meticulous in a way that earns the higher price tag. You will not regret spending a little more when the process and results are everything you'd expect and more. read more

This is a review of RK Construction in Norwood, Mass., owned by Ralph Khirallah. His firm's work is first-rate and he is incredibly honest and customer-centered. (Note: Apparently more than one firm with a similar name is or has been in business.) Ralph was recommended by friends in Brookline who had interior work done by RK Construction. We used him for several outdoor projects - rebuilding decking and stairs with Azek decking and Intex PVC railings on the back of our house, and on the front of our house (visible from the street in a local historic district) replacing the front porch decking with mahogany and creating and installing a period-correct railing on the front porch. All work was done with high standards of professionalism and craftsmanship. The bid was carefully done. Possible extras (depending on the condition of the original stringers and joists) were spelled out. Eventually, there was a small amount for extras, but each amount was explained in the billing and was totally justified. Ralph's workmen dealt creatively with issues on the job - how to detail non-90 degree turns in the railings, safely jacking up the porch roof to replace the mahogany decking, etc. We later had a small job done - replacing a door to the basement of our garage. Accumulated water (not RK's fault) caused the door to swell. Ralph came back and replaced the door, with modifications to avoid future problems, without charge. I found that to be remarkable customer service in this day and age. We continue to use RK for small recurring jobs, like cleaning and oiling wooden gutters, and would use RK again without hesitation for larger jobs. read more

Over the past 15 years RK Construction has done three projects for us: an extensive demolition and addition of a second-floor family room, 3-season porch, bedroom and bathroom; a bathroom renovation; and, most recently, a kitchen and laundry reno plus installation of a central air conditioning system in our 90-year old home. We have been more than completely satisfied with every project.  RK plans meticulously, preps a home for maximum protection and dust-control, and takes great pride in achieving a perfect outcome.  Their construction staff are gentlemen, and their supervisors see through every detail with utmost commitment to their customers as individuals. To the extent possible they stay on schedule, explain any difficulties they encounter transparently, and respond quickly to calls, texts, and emails.  We stayed in our home through all three projects, and every day they left the house as clean as possible. Their estimate for the first project was more than competitive and since then we simply wouldn't consider working with anyone else because of our complete trust in the company. Ralph Khirallah himself stays very close to the job and he has mentored his staff to reflect his high standards as a builder and a gentleman. Over the past 3 years, RK Construction Company has updated our kitchen, enlarged our foyer and removed an interior wall to open up the living room, including all necessary roofing, siding, painting, electrical, plumbing and flooring work. We have been very satisfied with every project. Ralph Khirallah plans meticulously, preps a home for maximum protection and dust-control. We stayed in our home through the projects, and every day they left the house as clean as possible and making sure our needs were met. Ralph uses high quality suppliers and excellent subcontractors. Look no further! RK construction is the best around and I did my home work after a neighbor of mine was taken advanage of by a contractor that I almost used! What an amazing job RK CONSTRUCTION did on our roof and front porch ( which because of carpenter ant damage and neglect was a total mess). The work done was top notch! RK recently completed a renovation of a full bathroom in our home. I had originally found Ralph through yelp and all of the terrific reviews were spot on. John was the lead foreman for the project and he was fantastic to work with. He was efficient, met all of our requests, and made some recommendations (when I was being indecisive.) Rk construction has done it for me again. This time a huge project. Tore down a wall and updated a kitchen. Project was done faster and better than projected. Completed perfectly! Ralph and his crew are experts and know exactly what they are doing. There was not one spec of dust left when the job was done.
