Arik renovated the bathroom; it was an old style tub, full renovation for the entire space. Arik's communication was excellent; excellent attention to detail, and provided recommendations, without being overbearing. Arik is personable, professional and trustworthy. I look forward to the next project for the front porch !

Arik and his team did an amazing job renovating my kitchen and bathroom. We remodeled the kitchen completely, including adding new washer, moving the sink, building a new kitchen island, installing kitchen cabinets and adding new tiles. My building is rather old and he did a great job dealing with old pipes and being transparent on what to expect. The communication was easy and professional and I am looking forward to many more projects to come!

Arik and his team are top notch. We have done two bathroom remodel projects with him in two separate homes, and both remodels exceeded our expectations with the quality work and on time schedule. Arik has extensive experience in contracting which comes through in his assessments and recommendations. With all of projects that Arik takes on, he is creative to help with the design and placement and works collaboratively with the client. He has great communication along the way so we know what to expect. He is very honest, fair, and goes over and beyond, which has built our trust. The work is solid, with clean installation/tile work. The job site is also kept clean with care taken to ensure there is minimal disruption. We will continue to work with Arik in the future.

    Before

After looking a few contractors, we selected Arik to fully remodel our bathroom because he was competent, local, and had a good sense of what we were looking for. The whole process took about 2 months and during that time Arik was keeping us updated and very open to any changes we wanted to make on the fly. He has a good eye for how everything ties together and his tile work, and painting skills were top notch. My one recommendation is to have a list of the things you would like to see done and give that to Arik (or put them in the contract). He had more than one project going on during ours so we had to remind him a couple of times what we had previously agreed to in terms of design, finishes, etc. Otherwise, I fully recommend Arik.

Before - view from dining room with kitchen columns in place

We worked with Arik and his team on a combined dining room and kitchen renovation. Please see attached pre/post photos. Overall, Arik did great work and the kitchen is beautiful! He had anticipated the project would be completed in 3-4 weeks, which it was on his end! The only delay was due to cabinets not getting in on time. Arik and his team were on time, extremely clean with demolition, and responsive. The kitchen is as we hoped it would be and turned out beautifully. We did have frustration with some of the finishing work. One of the new walls has a curve in it where a window was removed, and the plaster work and paint on the peninsula is uneven despite this being a new wall/construction. Arik was aware of this and responsive to trying to fix the peninsula wall. However, he had to return multiple times to fix small things like this and this seemed unnecessary. If we were to work with Arik again or recommend him and his team, we would suggest being clear on the expectations from both sides of this type of thing early on. Overall we are very happy, and also feel that it is the details that truly make a renovation job complete. Please see before and after photos. Cabinets and installation were done by Eastern Cabinets in Hyde Park.

2nd floor with glass doors newly installed

Arik and his team did a fantastic job renovating both of our bathrooms in record time (4 weeks each). The first-floor bathroom was more challenging than anticipated and they not only came up with a great solution it turned out so much better than we expected in the first place. To bring the plumbing up to code they also needed to redo most of the pipes in the basement. Arik is fair, honest, hard-working, has a great eye for design, and overall is a joy to work with. I'm so pleased with how the bathrooms turned out that I'm scheduling new projects in the kitchen and fireplace with them.

Arik and co are wonderful. Arik is very honest and cares so much to do the right thing. He was always on time, on budget, and completed the project in exactly the time he promised. We could not be happier with out new master bathroom and look forward to working with Arik on the next project!

We worked with Arik Remodeling & Renovation to redo 3 bathrooms and we couldn't be happier! We recently bought a home and found more projects than we had bargained for...Arik's team came in and immediately put us at ease... He has vision and is also super customer-centric and he is a hard worker. He not only helped us with the bathrooms but stepped in on other issues that just so happened to arise while he was working at our house. We really appreciate everything he and his team did for us. They are extremely professional and we feel so lucky to have found Arik. He is fair, honest, and the end product looks amazing! Arik and his crew are genuinely good people which is so important when you are hiring for big projects. He is completely trustworthy and was always transparent with us about the work he was doing. We know for sure we will be hiring him for future jobs (we actually already have him lined up for some other jobs:). Clearly, we HIGHLY recommend him!

I called Hydro Therapy on Saturday morning, and spoke with Bob briefly on the phone. I told him what we were looking for, and he recommended we make an appointment to come in and talk to him. We scooted over on the Vespa for our 11:30 appointment. Bob welcomed us as we walked into the showroom, and started walking us around to get some general ideas of what we were looking for. Once everything was narrowed down, the books (and price lists!) came out. All along the way, Bob made great recommendations, and seems very knowledgeable about his products. We purchased every last item that was needed (well, except a soap dish and we're struggling with that one for some reason), including shower doors. The showroom samples feel and look like quality material. Bob indicated that we should get everything within two weeks, which will be perfect timing for the contractor. Bob was really helpful, we never felt rushed, even though we spent close to two hours with him picking out our material. Great shop, and we are looking forward to going back there during our next renovation project (but after this one, it might be a while!).

In the beginning of January the slide bar for my shower head assembly needed to be replaced. Bob informed me first that the brand originally installed in my shower no longer produced the size I needed. He went on to further help me find something that not only matched the specs, but was also of a similar modern style. After a few moments we decided on a brand and model which Bob, without hesitation or reason, offered to knock a couple bucks off of before placing the order. Bob assured me that I should have my new slide bar within a few days. Week and a half later the trouble begins as I call to find out where my slide bar is. John (I think) informs me that Bob is out when I call in (Friday), but that he'll leave a note to call me back on Monday. Not sure why John couldn't just help me, but whatever. I end up having to call Bob back Monday only to find out he hasn't received it from the supplier yet, but it should be shipped soon. Another week later it still hasn't been received, but the supplier is certain it's being shipped. Couple days later (almost 3 weeks total) I inform John I would like to just cancel the order as I found a similar model on Amazon which I ordered. He said they'd issue a refund. After a week of no refund on my AmEx, I had to open a dispute which AmEx's dispute center says Hydro Therapy never responded to. Here I am about 2 months later, and AmEx has ruled in my favor on the dispute with still no word from Hydro Therapy. While I was initially impressed with the service, I must say I will most likely not be taking my business back to Hydro Therapy.

From the initial design process with Danielle we felt at home with her guidance, and she made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. Danielle was extremely knowledgeable, and put us on the right path with regard to our budget, design expectations and really helping us to understand how the entire process works. Right from the beginning, we knew we had reached out to the right company. Then came the build process, in which we were fortunate enough to work with Steve Costa who not only juggled a third-floor walk-up, a building from the late 1800s, but also an extremely pregnant woman who was keen on getting this project off the ground and completed as quickly as possible. Steve led a fantastic group of NKB employees and subcontractors, but I would be remiss to not give a special shoutout to John and Mike who were our dream team carpenters, kitchen décor experts, and mental support during the project. Our dog clearly misses Steve, John and Mike as they became best friends it seems during the project. Additionally, Kelsea from the PMA team was a huge help in keeping the schedule/accounting on track for us. We were THRILLED with the final product (photos attached), and we are so very thankful for all of the hard work of the entire NKB team to bring our dream bathroom to life (before the baby, may I add)! If you are looking to have work done, look no further than NKB. We know that we will be using them in the future when needed, with no doubts about it.

He had some great ideas on how to enhance the space, showing us how we could easily have a bigger shower. We checked with a couple of other companies, but went with DWC because we liked Paul's responsiveness, ability to explain, patience, and flexibility. The bid wasn't the cheapest, but DWC did a fantastic job and was worth every penny! Paul walked us through every step, from design ideas to site logistics to explaining the process to connecting us with wonderful, sensible local vendors for tile, fixtures, paint, and window treatments. He and his crew are reliable, trustworthy, friendly, and CLEAN, besides being outstanding craftsmen. The subcontractors he engages are just as wonderful. They all have a good relationship with the city and took care of all permits and communication with the city. His ability to coordinate and adjust schedules kept the project humming along - it was finished in less time than anticipated despite a global pandemic hitting right at the end! He and his subs worked with the city to get everything signed off despite the city's shutdown. If you've read this far, I hope you'll let me share a story or two. How clean are they at DWC? They set up a staging area in a spare room with plastic walls and floor covering, and covered the stairs as well. One day I looked out the window to see them vacuuming the *driveway* at the end of a day when they were sawing outdoors. How good are they? They found a squeaky subfloor board on the landing and fixed it (yes, it cost extra) because they were worried it might warp the tiles in the bathroom. The subcontractors pointed out many times little details that made them want to work with DWC. How creative are they? They wanted to recess our medicine cabinet but found a pipe behind the wall. So they bumped out the wall there so we could have a recessed cabinet (which we hadn't even thought of, but which looks much nicer than one hanging on the wall). How quiet are they? I work from home, and they never disturbed me. Or our dog, for that matter, but she's pretty deaf. In fact, they were always happy to see her, which of course endeared them to me even more. How perfectionist are they? They fixed some dings made in the other rooms in the course of the work and even had the painter do the stairway, even though most of those dings were done by us. Finally, if you've read this far, the DWC crew and everyone who works with them are just plain NICE. It was a pleasure to have them work with us, and I would engage them again in a heartbeat.

I did a partial kitchen reno and needed to match the existing quartz counters that Mona's team installed last time. Ran into a problem: they didn't have any remnants in that color, and I'd have to purchase a whole slab just to match a little section. Mona came to the rescue! She offered me a remnant of a different color that she promised matches really really closely the original color. And since the new section was to be installed across from the old one (not contiguous), it would be very hard to tell. Sure enough, it worked out perfectly and Mona saved me a lot of money by finding a creative solution. Just like last time, I was doing this long distance without seeing anything in person. With contractors there is always drama or miscommunications, especially if you are not there to supervise. Not with Mona. Her reliability, attention to detail, and smart problem-solving in every project, no matter how small, give me total peace of mind. And the prices are still very reasonable, even years later! Thank you so much!
