We called them to fix our generator during the snow storm. They never fixed the generator. The electricians / technicians who came to fix didn't have proper equipment provided by the company. The people in the office keep asking for payment even when the work is not complete. The office people will not send the electricians / technicians if we don't pay. After paying twice for two visits; i.e. $800+, the electricians were not able to find the issue. The people in the office want more money for sending the electricians/ technicians again. read more

I had arrange an appointment with Ryan and he called 25 minutes prior to arrival and said he was not coming. Only one other time offered and I was not available. They asked I send photos of the job. This is unacceptable customer service. I rearranged my schedule to be home at this time. I work full time and was hoping for some electrical assistance with my historic home. When we decided our home warranty company qwould never really help us with an emergency electrical issue, we gave up on them and started calling electricians with high ratings. I found RK Newman and am so glad I did! They answered after hours on a Friday, scheduled a service call for the next morning, and promptly fixed the issue during the call. We did have to pay the special hours fee, but the communication, follow up, and service were excellent! I requested a quote, sent them pics, specs and job description as they requested(I needed an electrical whip dropped for hot water heater). 2 days later, they ask for address. Its been 6 days since then and I haven't heard back. Sent emails asking about it, still nothing. Edit: company called the day after review was posted. They did get me a quote that day. No explanation or reason for the delay, just here it is. So I will give them 2 more stars. read more

Let me start by saying that the two gentlemen that came to my house were VERY good. Professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Good troubleshooting skills got my issue resolved in good time. But, that's where it ends. Please learn from my mistake. DO NOT allow work to be done without a quote up front. I made an appointment two days in advance. That would be an indication that this work was not an emergency. As a matter of fact, I explained to the girl taking my call that the problem existed for a week before I even called. So, I made the appointment for a day and time that suited my wife and my schedules. The time agreed upon was between 2:00 and 5:00 pm. I even took time off work to accommodate this time. 6:00 pm rolled around and there was still no electricians and no call from anyone saying they would be late. So, I called them. Suddenly, they were delayed at another job and should be there soon. Why couldn't they call? Then, they show up later (I checked the travel time from their office to my house and it was eerily close to the time it took them to arrive...you draw your own conclusions) talking about how busy they were and that they had an 'emergency' call after me. Whatever!!! They did the job. No issue there. See my opening statement. Then they disappear to their van for about 15 minutes. The gentleman comes back with his phone out and a 'text message' with a cost. No invoice. No receipt. No nothing. Just a 'message' on his phone with a cost that I thought was quite high for the routine work I asked for. I handed the guy a check and he walked back to his van. I thought he was coming back with my receipt, or invoice, or something. NOPE. Ten minutes goes by and nothing. I go to the door and they ghosted me. Gone. Like thieves in the night. See ya later alligator. Bye bye bitches. Okay. I get it. Then today, 5 days later...I get an email with an invoice. The invoice said nothing. No breakdown of hours, materials, etc. It's as if the work I needed done was a common issue, like a Big Mac on Mickey D's menu, with its own predetermined price. Point is, the work was spot on. Well done. The business of how it got done and recorded...not so much. Make your own decision, but I would just warn that you not make the same mistake as me. Oh yeah, and if there was an 'emergency' call after me, I feel sorry for them, with the length of time they were made to wait. read more

RK Newman installed a Generac Power System for our residence. It was supposed to be done in about 2 weeks. In-fact it took a total of 44 Calendar Days. Numerous emails and telephone calls to them apparently didn't help. We contracted with them on 03.10.21, after an upgrade they finally started the installation on 04.07.21 and it was finally completed 0n 05.20.21. I only hope the quality of the work meets Generac Warranty requirements. read more

We were charged $362.75 for changing light bulbs on our ceiling fan. My husband arranged for their service to replace our ceiling fan about a month ago in our new home. They canceled once and made it the second time. Two people showed up very nice and profesional. They got the original fan working with by just cleaning the remote. Since they were there I asked them to change the bulbs to brighter bulbs. They volunteered to go and get the bulbs and changed them. It took less than an hour. My husband made a mistake by writing a check first for $362.75 they were charging. He tried a few times to get in touch with the company. No response even after leaving a few messages. I was boiling from such an outrages price. Never to hire them again and not recommonding them to anyone. Thats why the rating is 2 stars for the guys only. read more

Without physically troubleshooting my Generac generator, wanted to install a $550 circuit board to fix it. He claimed it should work, no guaranties. Hale Electrical came out, troubleshot the generator, and fixed it by installing a $100 battery. Draw your own conclusions....... read more

Electrician was scheduled for 9 am at 9:30 i called to check on status, they said they would be there at 11 am. At 11:45 I called again to check on status and they said they couldn't make it out. I waisted half a day waiting on them and never once received a call from them letting me know they were not coming. read more

I contacted this company to install motion sensor flood lights in place of existing floods. They were prompt in responding to the job and returned quickly the following day when one of the sensors was not at the optimum angle for detecting motion and readjusted it to my satisfaction with the promise to return again if I thought anything further was necessary. read more
