I originally tried using the Lowe's install option, but Lowe's outsources installs to the Angi app which was awful to deal with - miscommunication all over the place and dealing with their customer service was a headache. I finally reached out to Old Town to try a local installer. I'm so glad I did. Old Town were great communicators throughout the entire process, showed up on time, were professional, and the project cost was significantly less than what Angi was asking. The last project included adding a outside hookup and line that attaches to our portable Generac generator outside to our breaker box inside, also replacing most of our old and dangerous inside electrical outlets, and checking and repairing a couple of fan switches. They also placed a surge protector into the breaker box for lightning strikes. Working with Nick was super convenient. He was literally at my house checking out my AC within 12…read morehours of requesting a quote. I called because my thermostat was blowing warm air while it was supposed to be cooling the house. He ran diagnostics on everything, was SUPER thorough, leaving no stone unturned, and at the end of it, confirmed that it was my Nest thermostat that was the issue. He could have easily assumed that it was the Nest but he confirmed that all the wires were working, that the blower control panel was functioning, and that the heat pump outside was cooling. A few days later and I received a replacement for my thermostat, and there you go, my AC was working again. Definitely recommend and will reach out again if something goes wrong in the future.
