I cannot say enough about Karime and Aieta. The WiFi is strong and fast. There are some amenities like exercise equipment and business office (with printers and shredders). Coffee and popcorn every day. There are laundry machines and they are commercial type machines in two sizes. Karime makes sure that people are informed about what's happening at the park, especially with the different food trucks that come in to sell. Many people use this park as home base while they are receiving treatment from one of the many hospitals in the Houston area. The park is very convenient to nearby restaurants and shopping. I previously stayed at a different nearby park, but after staying at Southlake, Southlake is my new go to park.

The spots are level, clean and the park is easy to navigate…read more It is obvious this KOA caters to long-term stays, which is fine, but it really makes the park look more like a trailer park and not a KOA holiday. They don't enforce their own rules....there were utility trailers parked a multiple sites, many with clutter and trash sitting outside and several that were severe eyesores. Not to mention, the site next to me had a dump truck full of trash. It smelled so bad it was coming into my trailer when it would open the door. I have stayed at many KOA's throughout the country and while on the surface this park looks nice, it is really lacking. There is a lot of deferred maintenance, the pool was cloudy and had large cracks in it and missing tiles, and the sites need a good pressure washing. The landscaping around main building was nice and trimmed but the sites and dog park are a different story. The dog park was unusable due to how high the grass was.....to their credit, when I brought it up, they sent someone out later that day to weed-eat. With the landscaping around the park being so overgrown, the mosquitoes were out of control. We couldn't even sit outside and enjoy the night because of this. The staff was nice and friendly and it is nice that the park is gated. Overall, I don't think we will return unless there is some serious work done.
