But much of the accessories are quirky and unique: think doll hands for earrings kind of vibe! There's a decent amount of knick-knacks and giftables here as well, that are more local artisan made or new. The store can feel a bit overwhelming at first entrance, so take it by section and putz with an open mind. He has an eye for a pieces that are architectural beauties. Yet, he can also turn that basement throw away into something that should be displayed in the Museum of Modern Art. Repurpose Republic is the kind of place you want to return to often, just to see what new beauty shows up on the showroom floor. Unfortunately, Repurpose Republic was our first stop, and I was exhausted with all the wasted hours visiting other consignment stores. Save yourself some time and just "hit up" Repurpose Republic. This place has more mid century lamps in one store than I've ever seen in my life!! There are a few super groovy ones that would be a blast to have just for conversation it would conjure up all on its own. The con: maybe it's my jacked up NE Mpls rent I'm now paying or my lack of experience on the cost of retro lighting but I'm not sure I can afford these prices. Boo...because I had a good 5 different lamps/lamp sets that my heart was pitter-patterning over.
