If you dont like the look and skin colors of the intellectual parents you cannot manipulate, surely you couldn't genuinely care for their offspring. Be careful not to leave your children around people so miserable they refuse to provide or heat up food for a 17 month old enrolled at their "school" with a tuition. This is optional childcare before grade school and these are the type of people that make you want to keep your kid home schooled.

At 4 years of age my son's degree of concentration, ability to problem solve, love and understanding of nature and level of creativity are far beyond my expectations. I know with these skills he will have an outstanding foundation to grow from. My 1 year old is also greatly benefiting from this environment, at 15 months she has shown me how capable even a toddler can be. She feeds herself independently, can drink from a cup, is working on dressing herself, "helps" me with chores and takes great pride in showing me what she can do. The teachers or "guides" are all wonderful and truly care about your children. I strongly recommend this school to anyone.

When her teeth were broken on the property I was not informed by the school and learned of her injury on my own after picking her up. At some point my daughter was not being fully monitored despite the school telling me the teacher was watching her and that she never showed any signs of distress. A one year old would have a reaction to having her two front teeth broken so to hear otherwise from the people I trusted to care for her is disheartening. After trying to communicate with the school they are refusing to take any accountability for their actions and even lied upon further investigation to avoid any repercussions. I don't think my child was hurt purposefully but there was clearly negligence that needs to be addressed if they will be caring for children of all ages.

The school facilities were pretty nice - walls decorated with school decorations and students' works. Very colorful setting that encouraged a safe space for learning. For a Saturday morning program, I was very impressed by the involvement and presence of the school administration. Teachers and the principal arrived on time, ready to engage with the students. Good teachers really don't get enough praise for their dedication. Students also arrived by school bus, which is a reliable and efficient way for students to get to a school program on the weekends - so cool! The thing that really topped it off for me was the diversity in the student population. The student body represents 31 different countries... yes THIRTY ONE countries. Most are children of refugees and come without an English background. You definitely would not be able to tell the latter because these kids were engaged throughout the program, displaying proficient in learning/comprehension. I am all for children growing up with diverse group of friends and learning cultural values early on in life. It's something that won't do harm in their future. However, all of these concerns were addressed at the parent/principal meetings I have attended. Seems the parents who have children that attended there the previous years have been extremely dissatisfied with the previous principal and the lack of interest for any of the parents' concerns about the children fighting, electric problems and whatnot. Now that there is a new principal and she seems genuinely concerned with all these things, it seems the parents are a lot more satisfied with the way the school is now being run. There is still a bus driver shortage and the parking lot gravel is still horrible, but at the moment those issues are out of her control.

Ms. Nargis, the director, gave us a tour, and I could tell she really cares about the school. You can see how much thought she puts into it and how much she wants it to be a great place for both the kids and the teachers. The kids looked happy and playful, the teachers were welcoming, and the whole atmosphere just felt right. What I'm most thankful for is what happened a few months after our daughter started. Our family was going through a difficult season, and she developed separation anxiety and became very attached to her favorite blanket. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to leave her during that time. Ms. Nargis and Ms. Teressa were incredibly patient and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping her through that season. They kept me updated, worked closely with me, and gave her the extra reassurance she needed. Knowing she was surrounded by people who understood what she was going through and truly wanted to help meant so much to us. That kind of care is hard to find, and it meant the world to our family. Our daughter has come such a long way in overcoming her separation anxiety. Now she runs into preschool with a huge smile, and one of the sweetest things is seeing her comfort her friends when they're sad to say goodbye to their moms. That just amazes me. Watching her grow in confidence has been such a joy, and we're so thankful to all of the teachers at AAIMS. I also love the curriculum. It's engaging, age-appropriate, and I can see how much she's learning while still having plenty of time to play and just be a kid. We also appreciate the variety of extracurricular activities they offer, which gives the kids opportunities to explore new interests and build confidence. One thing I really respect is the way Ms. Nargis leads AAIMS.
