No, it works via the leaves, as we all learned in 6th grade. We were shocked. Neighbors stopped by as they, too, were shocked. Our beautiful, healthy 40 foot tree died soon after. We agreed I would not pay him for killing our tree. I later read trees like this can increase home values by $10,000. To this day, I remain sickened by what happened and wish I would have sued for damages. We wanted twigs/thin dead branches removed in our back yard trees, too. This is a row of trees. Instead he cut them so each tree extended the same length into our yard - something I was not at all interested in. I cannot tell from the other reviews but maybe they used them for tree removal only. They might be good for that.

The issue is that I was bid a price based off of their employees having to climb. I was told I'd receive a 20% discount if the lift could be used, as that'd reduce the labor costs. What ultimately happened was the lift was brought, but not even taken off the trailer as no one had to climb, they removed the tree from the ground. I asked for the 20% discount but was only offered 10%. By my logic, they could've parked the lift next to the tree and not even use it, and I would've received the full 20% discount. I'm all for efficiency but I feel in this case their efficiency was to my detriment. Having to pay more for what feels like less left a bad taste in my mouth.

Rettman ( Leon) worked with us to revise quotes to give us the best look for the price. They ripped it out; trimmed pine trees, cut one down, ripped out fountain and evergreen spreaders that were pushing retaining wall out; removed windburned arborvitaes, created a new rock edge section, added pavers and removed gravel but reused it in plant beds . They were on time, checking all the way to see what my daughter wanted and made creative suggestions about the look. We had them lay down fabric and mulch to create a bug free haven and wide open space. It was worth every penny $ 4400 and they cleaned up like they were never there.
