In June of 2009 we discovered a bad leak and dry rot in our master bathroom. We had plans drawn up for the major work that needed to be done and got 3 estimates. We chose RM because they were the most professional, Eduardo answered all questions and concerns, and their bid was reasonable. (not the highest, not the lowest). They tore out the flooring, parts of the wall, the old shower, a sunken tub and began the project. It took about 5 weeks or so, and we were kept informed daily as to how things were going, and any unexpected challenges. The result was beautiful! The tile work was superb!!! We had such a wonderful experience that we have used them for every project since: updating the guest bathroom; painting the outside of our home; tearing out the fireplace and carpet in the living room and installing a beautiful ledger stone fireplace surround and porcelain tile flooring (that looks exactly like wood); replacing the outdated lighting in our kitchen; installation of granite countertops and backsplash in the kitchen. We just finished a project with them (January 2018) to remove carpet in the dining room and living room and replace with the same wonderful porcelain tile - another perfect job. We also had our guest room redone as well. We have the office and the master bedroom as our next project this coming summer and will have the same porcelain tile installed in both. I wish I could attach photos of the beautiful work done over the years by this great company. They are a family owned and run business and everyone there is tidy, kind, and does excellent work. If we were ever unhappy with anything, they would take care of it - no matter how minor. Now when we need a job done, we just call Eduardo! Just finished up a 3 bath remodel. We are very pleased with the entire crew at RM General Contracting and how they handled the work and details from start to finish. Karen gave a clear estimate and truly listened to what was important to us. We were able to stick to a strict budget as she gave ideas and suggestions on how best to do that and still come out with beautiful bathrooms. Eduardo was very kind and respectful at all times, and he made it a priority that his crew be the same. He always answered any questions or concerns we had in a timely manner, and he kept us aprised of what work would be done each day. There wasn't a day that Jason didn't come to work with a smile on his face. He is a jack of all trades and we appreciate the great job he did and his attention to detail. When we had an electrical issue, Roberto was the first on the scene with his expertise to make sure all went smoothly. After having difficulty acquiring a contractor for a small bathroom complete remodel, I stumbled upon RM General Contracting. I'm very pleased I did. Eduardo and Mary exceeded my expectations. From estimate visit to completion was very fast. Services provided were: demolition, tub removal, soffit tear-out, new shower recessed light, new fan, move HVAC duct, additional outlets, moving switches, complete new sheetrock and texture, install light fixtures, reset toilet, tape and texture. During the process, Eduardo was very informative about what was going on and helpful with suggestions. Most important to me, these folks showed up each and every day on-time and did a great job. My decision to go with RM was not only based on a "fair" price but with Eduardo's and Mary's "people skills". They were a pleasure to work with. I've used RM for 2 very different projects in the past year: extensive dry rot repair and a full exterior paint job last summer, and a recent installation of new dual-pane windows with related repairs to adjacent water-damaged areas. The work has been consistently excellent -- I've lost track of the compliments from neighbors -- and everyone has even wonderful to work with. I picked RM for the first job because their estimate was exceptionally detailed, and Karen did a great job of explaining all my options and the reasons for her recommendations. Customer service and responsiveness has been exceptional throughout. The crews have been consistently on time, courteous, done a great job leaving the worksite neat, and jobs done on time and on budget. I recommend RM highly. Karen Curia and Roberto Chavez are totally amazing! This awesome team can do practically anything! They always know just how to tackle a project--and pay attention to every last detail. They have handled two extremely difficult projects for us over the past few years--and I can honestly say that I couldn't have made it through those overwhelming times without these two angels! In search of someone to remodel my 3 bathrooms, I noticed an ad in the local Orangevale Newspaper and gave RM General Contracting a call. From the moment the phone was answered I was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. An appointment was set-up for an inspection, the estimate was given and I could tell that I was going to go with this local business. All work was done with such a fine attention to detail. RM General Contracting replaced 16 windows and two sets of french doors on our 50 year old home. No leaks during the winter of 2014. The casing around the french doors is superb.
