While our family was visiting relatives in Eugene for Thanksgiving, I discovered to my horror that…read moremy oldest had a terrible lice infestation. She has hip-length, curly, THICK hair and the moment I noticed those terrible little bugs crawling around I panicked and began to do what no mom should ever do: I googled. After going down that rabbit hole for about 10 minutes, I was in a panic and felt like the only surefire lice cure would be to shave all of our heads and burn down the house. I was absolutely overwhelmed, so I decided to consult a professional. I found LiceDoctors and they arranged to send someone over that very day. Karine was amazing. She was patient and kind with the kids, and she worked calmly and gently with my daughter's incredible (and incredibly tangle-prone) hair. She was so thorough that even though I was expecting to find remaining nits for days to weeks after our treatment, there were none. Not one. Not one sign of a single louse or nit ever again after that day, despite my meticulous and thorough comb-throughs. Karine said we'd probably find signs of nits or louse remnants (ugh) for a while after the initial treatment, but nope! I can't put into words what a relief that has been. Now, a little over 3 weeks out, we are still 100% lice- and nit-free. Also the fact that this is a truly nontoxic approach seals the deal for me. I am so grateful to Karine and LiceDoctors.
