Right off the bat, my mom and I felt the most comfortable with Amin (pronounced "Ah-mean") of Persi Homes. From the thorough, no-pressure in-home consult to the detailed estimate and contract he sent afterwards, Amin's expertise, warm personality, and responsiveness to our questions gave us the reassurance we needed to take the plunge and get started with our first remodel. My mom's house is around 30 years old. The tub/shower combo was original and started peeling in spots. The towel bar, vanity light, and other items were also original and needed to be replaced. My mom ended up doing a "full gut" and had Persi Homes replace everything, including the toilet, vanity and countertop, sink and faucet, vent fan, floor, etc. Amin answered all our questions and provided helpful suggestions during every phase of the project. As the Project Manager, he showed up several times a week to check the progress of the work, and he remained extremely friendly and responsive from start to finish. We always knew who was coming to the house on what day and what the next phase of the project was. From the demo guys to the tile guys and everyone in between, all the Persi Homes employees and subcontractors were polite, showed up on time, and worked extremely hard. They even cleaned up after themselves every day. Each City Inspection passed with flying colors, and Amin made sure my mom and I were 100% happy with every aspect of her bath remodel. Before this project, I was hesitant to undergo any remodels, especially after hearing horror stories of sketchy contractors from coworkers and friends over the years. But the Persi Homes crew was extremely professional, reliable, and easy to talk to. My mom is now the proud owner of a beautifully remodeled guest bathroom where the superior craftsmanship speaks for itself. I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! All trades were very respectful and did good work. We always knew when somebody was coming and around what time. There were no big surprises on cost changes. They warned us after removal of soffit there could be things that may cost more and there were. There were tons of communication wires that needed to be removed we didn't know were there. Water pex pipe had to be moved, etc. so we understood the extra cost. We love our kitchen and would recommend them! The cabinets are great, trim work is great, inside and outside window installation and stucco repair were done very well. Electrical and plumbing contractors were top notch. The only thing that needed a little improvement was the backsplash tile amount calculation. We had to order more twice! It was a good thing the material was fairly easy to get in Anaheim.
