I dog sit in the area and always get a sandwich at this legendary spot while I'm nearby. Got an Italian, dry, hot peppers on the side, to take to the Metallica concert at the Linc Sunday night. Always good grub after a show. Even after sitting in a cooler for 10 hours it was outstanding. Well constructed with plenty of meat and cheese, and more than enough bit peppers to go around. It really hit the spot after the show while the parking lot cleared out. They sell lots of premade dishes, and have a nice selection of meats and cheeses as well as some of the staples you see in an Italian market, like olive oils, sauce, panettone, etc. Small store with friendly employees who put out a great product. This has become my go-to hoagie shop in the area. First, everyone that works here is so nice! Whether I place an order on the phone, or stop in and order in-person, I'm always greeted quickly and kindly. You can also tell that they all take pride in what they do. I particularly love any of the chicken cutlet sandwiches but they are really all amazing! It should be noted that this is a really great Italian market too - sausages, cheeses, dried pastas, refrigerated pastas, soups, etc. I make a cake that has amaretti cookies as one of the ingredients- it's always been a struggle to find these but Ro-Lynn always has them! read more

Called to place an order and it was ready in 20 min. The DiCoppa (basically a hot Italian hoagie) was OUTSTANDING!! One of the best hoagies I've ever had. This is by far the best Deli in DELCO. The staff is always friendly, food is delicious and I've yet to have a bad item from here. As a 50 year customer I applaud them for knowing their business so well that they have adjusted their hours to what their customers need. I REALLY Wanted to like their chicken cutlets. Got them multiple times & and it was like chewing on rubber. My Mom was Italian, and her cutlets never had a texture like that! I really enjoyed the inside of this place, it was full of Italian specialties plus some lesser known chip and salty snack brands I've never seen before. Ordering a large Godfather sandwich was my first order of business, then I spent time looking at all of their in house branded sauces and specialty items. The place was very busy, but the staff was thorough, and friendly. Everything is made to order and it's amazing to watch several people crafting sandwiches in a small space. The kid who took my order was on the same page as me, I questioned how sharp is the sharp provolone, he replied "Don't worry I got you!". Exactly what I wanted to hear and totally on point. Godfather Sandwich - Seeded Liscio's Roll, Parma Prosciutto, Soppressata, Dry Capicola, Pepper Ham and Sharp Provolone. Small $12.99 Large $15.99. The large was about 10-12". I asked for hot peppers and they were hot cherry peppers. Another point for that. When I unwrapped the sandwich I was greeted by a gorgeous layer of Prosciutto on top. I loved everything about this sandwich, from the fresh seeded roll, the hot cherry peppers, the delicious meats to the bite of the real sharp provolone. The menu itself is so well put together. Have been to Ro-Lynn several times and they are always great. Love their Turkey and Italian hoagies.Make sure to order Sharp Provolone on everything,lol. Amazing assortment of different potato chips from all over the region,too. If you are old enough to remember them from way back in the '70s--- they sell Charles' Chips! We randomly stopped in on the way from the airport. OH MY GOSH. Front the second we walked in our mouths were watering! The smell was amazing and you're surrounded more amazing food in one tiny shop than many giant grocery stores have. The guys at the counter were friendly. The menu is exceptional! So many unbelievable options. Also I wanted to take home so many things!! The salads were huge. The sandwiches were huge. The pastrami sandwich wow!!! Add spicy peppers and and it's the bees knees!!! I've always heard great things about Ro-Lynn Deli, and after my first visit I found every one of them to be true. We placed a fairly large phone order on a Sunday afternoon of an Eagles home game and the order was all correct down to the toppings. Though it was busy when we arrived, there was an efficient process that ran very smoothly. I've been going here for years. Get the Godfather with long hots peppers, it's the best hoagie I've ever had. (The picture does NOT do this baby justice). It comes on a hard roll, with the option to add lettuce tomatoes (whole slices) and onions (chopped not long!). When they get busy you need to wait a bit (we waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday at 12pm). It's a small shop so standing room is tight. read more

just now NEW Just walking into this place with prosuto and mozzarella hanging while greeted by the best Italian cooking smell is bliss. I have been coming here for awhile because their hoagies are the best around. I recently had their pastrami Ruben and it was the best I have had hands down. My wife is a born and bred South Phila girl .For years we make the trip to the various deli's, bakeries for cheeses , oils etc.. you go into an establishment and my wife would comment on the aroma, only in South Phila. We wanted to support a local small business instead of ordering from Primo. I tried calling to order takeout for the past half hour or so. No answer. I keep getting a Verizon message saying the number is busy. I called 30 different times and received the same message. They do not offer ordering online as an option. They are open until 7:00 so it's not that we are too close to closing. I am not going to go there, have family be exposed to people in their tiny little store which makes social distancing difficult and then wait in the car for 20 minutes for the order to be ready. My husband and I stopped in recently to check the place out after seeing numerous rave reviews about it on Facebook. It was a cozy little Italian market with all kinds of good smells wafting through the air and all kinds of cheeses, sausages, Italian cookies, etc. to look at. We ended up getting lunch and dinner from there since it all looked so fabulous. He had the Godfather and I had the PLT - both were really good. I adore bacon but the super crispy prosciutto on the PLT was a wonderful change. We got two pieces of the surprisingly affordable lasagna and a tossed salad for dinner - the lasagna was perfect but the old man was sad there was no meat in it. The salad was okay but it could have been fresher (the cukes had definitely been sitting a while). The guys that were working that day were great - very friendly and patient with us newbies. Stopped in for the first time today. The place was clean and organized nicely. The young man who waited on me was very friendly and helpful. We had the Italian hoagie made just the way I asked and it was delicious. Grabbed up some other goodies for later like chicken cutlet and pasta soup. We will be back and after I try the cutlets and soup? If they are good I will up it to 5!
