    Chicken parm sandwich
    Amanda L.

This place knows how to sandwich. That's the only way I can put it. The chicken parm sandwich was easily one of the best I've had. I usually like a thin cutlet but this one was a little bigger. Let me tell you though it was cooked PERFECTLY. Juicy, tender and a great portion. Roast beef sandwich with the honey horseradish (incredible combo) was lights out. Vodka meatball was very good. The meatballs were outstanding and honestly remind me of my mom's which for any Italian, that's a huge deal, but I wasn't a big fan of how spicy the vodka sauce was. Personal preference though. If you like spice, you'd love it. Will be back a million times.

We were in the area visiting Linvilla orchards and needed to grab some food. I found this little hidden gem with just a quick search. This is primarily a cheesteak place but they do have other options-- that sounded very delicious. The place is small, but there is some seating. Fast service and good portions. My fiancé and I split the south Philly. Sooo soo good. The meat is ribeye steak and so as you would imagine the cut is nice and thick-- a lot of flavor.

As I awaken from my food induced coma after eating one of these marvels of all marvels I started thinking what everyone else is thinking. I guarantee you're asking yourself is this heaven... a hoagie/sandwich heaven ? Yes .. yes it is, and Corropolese bakery is the rolls being used! My friends you can't go wrong with any of their fine sandwiches, every one of them is a winner. Myself it is not that easy for me to choose from, because I would stand there and just stare, while trying to give them an order. Do I go with this, or shit wait let me get that instead, or is that chili . See my friends , this is what I go through when I am in there, I can't just pick one and not think about the other masterpieces. If you have A.D.D. you'll have fun trying to put in an order. Lets not forget about their "Specials" they have on that board just greeting you as you walk in. Whatever your game plan is, you might as well throw it out the window. I must say I do applaud their patience when it comes time for ordering, because they know it is not an easy one to make. Thank you Mark for making this not an easy choice. What to get? All of it, everything on their impressive menu is what I'm screaming! This is what I've enjoyed so far my yelp fam. Classic Cheesesteak~ Cooper Sharp and fried onions making its way onto the scene this O.G. was perfectly seasoned. Consistency with every bite. Prosciutto DiParma~ I'm telling you this was heavenly with that fig jam mingling with the burrata and their pesto. Uncle Mike's Hot Honey~ A cutlet sandwich that should be on everyone's mind if you like it spicy sweet! Cutlets dipped in a hot honey with a smoked bacon along with their garlic aioli added to the party. King Cutlet~ The King is here, bow down and kiss the ring fools. Those roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella with a drizzle of balsamic , pesto and a garlic aioli had me taking a knee on this one. *Special* Blackened Shrimp Chicken Cheesesteak with a spicy firecracker sauce that had me acting like a fool. In conclusion my friends Van Horn's is on point with everything... EVERYTHING. No

    Philly Philly cheesesteak

Had lunch for 2 at Van Horns. The staff was very helpful and friendly - and the owner stopped by to ask how the meal was. I tried the Philly Philly because it sounded interesting with the addition of kielbasa - it was delicious and I could eat half - so the other half was a delicious day after lunch. The seeded rolls were spot on and the meat and cheese mix was one of the best I've ever had. My friend got the classic cheesesteak and the same occurred - it turned into 2 delicious meals. Overall I find it difficult to think there is a better cheesesteak near Media (but I am open to being wrong). Prices were appropriate.

Mark at Van Horn's Steaks in Media, PA (DelCo), has truly mastered the art of crafting an exceptional cheesesteak. The Classic featuring Cooper Sharp cheese, Liscio's seeded roll, shaved ribeye, and small diced onions is nothing short of extraordinary. The first bite is a symphony of flavors and textures, as the succulent ribeye, expertly shaved to perfection, melts in your mouth. The rich and creamy Cooper Sharp cheese adds a delightful sharpness that elevates the overall taste, creating a harmonious blend with the tender meat. The Liscio's seeded roll, a local favorite, serves as the ideal vessel to contain this masterpiece. The roll strikes a perfect balance between softness and a satisfying crunch, providing a delightful contrast to the juicy meat and melted cheese. Each bite is a journey through layers of flavor, showcasing the expertise and passion that go into creating this cheesesteak. The small diced onions add a subtle sweetness and crunch, enhancing the overall experience without overpowering the other elements. The attention to detail in the preparation is evident, and it's clear that Van Horn's takes pride in delivering a cheesesteak that not only pays homage to the Philadelphia tradition but also stands out as a culinary gem in its own right. In addition to the sandwich being fantastic, Mark seems like he is a great guy. If you find yourself in Media, PA, a visit to Van Horn's Steaks is a must for a tasty cheesesteak at an affordable price. Van Horn's Steaks - Didn't Suck!

I'm pretty sure I am in love with this cheesesteak. A Tuesday of cheesesteak and beer withOUT Amigo Dan, very sad. He missed a chance to roll his R's. Corropolese roll. I just got done editing my video and I still have more questions than answers. What I liked/loved; 1. Meat was tasty. 2. Smoked Cooper added great smoky flavor without overpowering everything. 3. Meaty mushrooms. 4. $15.32 tax included. (50 cents for mushrooms). My nitpicky concerns/debatable topics; 1. More grill time for mushrooms and onions. 2. More meat? 3. More cheese? Maybe a blend? IDK, definitely love this cheesesteak more than concerns. PS took it to 2SP in Aston. Angela is great. I love my up and out but how about some new fruity sours.

    Truffle steak
    Stan H.

Had the truffle steak with bacon. Quality meat- juicy, tender, flavorful, same w the bacon, seeded roll texture and sauces add to the sandwich. Maybe one of my faves steaks in addition to the Classic Dalessandro's. Has white and black truffle (oil? Probably) as white truffle is expensive and in Italy only apparently. A friend told me white truffle is banned in many food competitions because it is that good. Staff is friendly and restaurant looks like it was someone's home converted partially into a pizza shop. There is a parking lot that is kinda small. Probably better to take out.

I see why my first rating was a 4 on the turkey, it's good but not blowing faces. To be fair, you gotta have awfully good fixins to take a turkey to a 5 count. You want to see it but it ain't easy not being cheesy. Kovacs got good fixins but it's deli style fixins, they're not going to the county fair tryna win medals. Kovacs does come correct on the bread which is such an obvious miss for many in the area. Nice soft airy hoagie roll like ya like it. The Italian though is the winner. The meat to sandwich ratio is elite, and the meats themselves were top top. I honestly didn't take time to pinpoint what about the meats were so good cause I straight inhaled this hoagie. Needless to say I'm coming back. Thus far best hoagie in the locale for sure.

In any day, you can expect an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, all on a long roll (personally my favorite way to eat a breakfast sandwich,) and beyond that, he has a great meet and cheese deli selection. He doesn't skimp on portions, and it's really affordable. I've been enjoying a Buffalo chicken hoagie, with the works! You may be surprised to find out that he is slinging meatball subs too, which he claims to be the crowd pleasure. After trying it for the first time, I can certainly see why. Healthy layers of cheese and you can tell he puts in time and thoughtfulness to his sauce and meatball recipes. If you are looking for any drinks or snacks to compliment the sandwich, he has aisles packed out with a number of options. Beyond the food itself, you'll remember the owner. Kind and funny!

After walking down State for about a block, we settled on 320 as a good place to stop to get something that would be tasty but also quick enough to get us in and out the door in enough time to be on our way but also provide a wide enough selection for the three of us to select something that we each wanted. Being fans of 320 Market in Swarthmore, I was used to this place when we went inside, although it is markedly different from the location that we usually go to. The space is a little bit more sparse and feels less like a market than the one in Swarthmore, but the staff is still nice, and the colors are bright, and the selections are still wide and vary across the spectrum of flavors enough to make everyone happy. I ordered pierogis at the counter as did my daughter, and my wife ordered spanakopita and then we were told to take a seat anywhere we liked. I do know that they obviously had to prepare everything fresh which is one reason that we like 320, but I also know, the spanakopita is coming from a much larger sheet and the pierogis only have to be fried and plated. For some reason things were taking an extremely long amount of time. The spanakopita came out relatively quick but was a little cold in the center. Still tasted delicious, but not ideal. However, the pierogis took forever. Not sure why because this was prime lunch time, around 11:30 and they weren't busy. Either way, when they did come out, they were played brilliantly, but I had to ask the wonderful guy at the counter to put them into containers so that my daughter and I could take them with us due to our fine constraints. He was more than happy to help and did his best to arrange them nicely in the containers, but for some reason the manager seemed to have a problem with the fact we ordered them to sit down and then asked to have them put into containers. He protested to some extent, albeit not directly to me, but when I looked in his direction alarmedly (which I'm not sure is even a word, lol) he simply stopped and went back to his other conversation). Even after our fifteen minute drive, the pierogis were superb and obviously made by hand from scratch. While I do like the other 320 Market location better and go there much more frequently just based on proximity to my home, this one was also good. I would go here again, and if you are in Media and need a good place for well-made delicious foods and interesting beer and wine that you won't find anywhere else, this is definitely your spot to go. There are many different choices of restaurants in Media to select from, but this is one place that is set up a bit differently, more like a "market" as described in its name. Go and check them out if you've never been, I bet there's something there that you'll enjoy!

The pizza smelled amazing as soon as we walked in, so that's definitely on our list to try next time. They also carry a smaller selection of fresh produce and grocery items, along with a bunch of unique snack choices you won't find just anywhere. Perfect place for a quick bite, a fun snack haul, or to grab something easy for later. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the experience was kind of a mixed bag. I stopped in on Mother's Day and they were really overwhelmed. I'm keeping that in mind for this review. While still giving my experience and feedback. I had ordered ahead but still ended up waiting 40 minutes past my pickup time. That would have been more understandable if the food came out hot and fresh, but the fries had clearly been made earlier and left to the side, so they were cold by the time I got them. You know those sad limp fries that should've been amazing? Yeah, those. There were three young ladies behind the counter, each seemingly working their own station but at completely different paces. It caused a bit of a bottleneck where food was just sitting while one person tried to catch up. The phone was ringing nonstop and there wasn't a clear sense of urgency. One staff member kept stopping to text mid sandwich, which, hey, we all have lives, but it really disrupted the flow and made everything slower. If something was going on, communication with the team would've gone a long way. As for the food: My steak sandwich had zero seasoning. I mean none. The only flavor came from the peppers on it. Two hours later, after reheating it in the air fryer and adding salt and pepper, it was decent. My husband had a cold sandwich and enjoyed his more, so I'm guessing results may vary depending on what you order. I didn't rate the service too harshly because it was clear the staff was overwhelmed, not rude. They barely had time to offer a smile, let alone conversation. Still, I gave this spot 4 stars because I see the potential. The menu looks genuinely interesting, the space is nice, and I imagine on a slower day with tighter processes they probably put out some fantastic sandwiches. I'd definitely be willing to give them another try, but next time I'll show up with extra patience and maybe a backup snack just in case.
