The business has a tiny parking lot in front of their door but a bigger lot is adjacent to their driveway so access is very easy. The business is extremely animated, teaming with the comings and goings of young & old alike. The offerings are fresh , tasty & diverse. The workers greet you with professionalism and enthusiasm. They are very polite & seem familiar to most people who come into their deli. Paper thin chicken cutlet & a long hot on a Corropolese seeded roll, mmm good. Yummy caesar pasta, chicken, macaroni & tuna salads. I particularly love that the chicken salad is shredded sooo fine it breaks up any fat so you'll likely NEVVV-er find my MOST DREADED long strand of cartilage/gristle which I've unfortunately encountered countless times at other markets which caused me to STOP getting chicken salad PERIOD, for awhile just about every time. Bottom line is...Pagano's should be EVERYONE's Italian market. It is THAT good. And the staff is sooo friendly, helpful & kind. If you're craving a mouth-watering sandwich, etcetera, this IS your place. italian hoagies USED to be good but the last two times I ordered them the lettuce was all wet and soggy and instead of the cheese being against the roll the lettuce and toppings were there making the roll very soggy. I called today to voice my complaint and the manager was so completely rude and kept cutting me off and yelling on top of me so that really turned me off. I tried to explain several times that this is not the way the hoagies used to be made and all he wanted to do was deny it. Well my friends have all said the same thing. I love Paganos. A small Italian market and deli, it has fabulous hoagies, great fresh baked rolls and bread from the best local vendors, a barrel of monster size pickles, fresh and frozen pastas, sauces, soups and cheeses, cookies and other treats. But really, it's the hoagies. I started with your classic Italian. They scoop out the center of the bread and replace it with fresh meats, cheeses, lettuce tomato and long hots if you want them. Of course someone gently encouraged me to try the start of the menu, the chicken cutlet hoagie. I went with the caprese and got a long hot on the side. The large is really two hoagies sold as one and I still tried to eat the whole thing. I have since moved through the entire cutlet list. Each one stands out in its own special way. Now sometimes the chicken can be a bit dry. The place is non-stop busy so I forgive the occasional overcooking of a cutlet. I even buy just a cutlet and make some out of it for dinner. This is the best local deli, hands down. Sandwiches - the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you're getting. Their chicken cutlet sandwiches are fantastic. You can't go wrong with any combo. They also have amazing Italian hoagies. The rolls are seeded, and fresh, with that pull of really good Italian bread. The portions are large enough, that with a side, you can easily eat this over two meals. My husband and I will sometimes get sandwiches to eat over the course of two days - they are just as delicious on the second day. Sides - Potato salad, macaroni salad and mozzarella salad are all phenomenal. Highly recommend Cannoli - Their cannoli are hand filled when you order and the shells are some of the freshest I've had. The filling is light, and makes the cannoli's less dense than some other's I've had. Everyone who works here is very nice. The girl who is the cashier is fantastic. Last year I got a large Italian hoagie here. The ingredients were the right ones for a good hoagie but the vegetables were put on the bread first and they were WET (rinsed with water). It caused the bread to get soaked and fall apart while it was being eaten. I really like this place. It is old school Italian. The products they sell are traditionally main stream products that you see in the market and some imported Italian items. Downside: I've learned my lesson. One, call ahead. If you come at lunch time or dinner, you may have a bit of a wait. I suggest calling ahead to avoid the wait. Their online menu is easy to decipher and you can order by number. Two parking is crazy. I do t know if it is legal but there is a strip mall next door. I park there and walk the short distance over to the store. Upside: They have pastas frozen to take home and prepare, fresh salads by the pound along with cold cuts. They will even fill your cannoli to order. The food is always good and the guys at the sandwich/deli counter are always Night. My thirds time there and I am addicted to the chicken caprese, number 23. It is warm breaded chicken cutlet with tomato, mozzarella and basil. The roll is a seeded Sarcone's roll. It's delicious. There are many other options to choose from, prepared pasta like lasagne, rigatoni and pasta/peas. In the refrigerator you can also find pasta fagioli, another favorite. All the home style, fresh cooked items make ordering out easy and delicious. They also sell an assortment of cheese and salami, olives and such to make up a perfect antipasto platter and the bread selection seems almost endless.
