I think this was the best coffee shop we've been to while we were here. Mind you, we were here as tourists so we haven't tried ALL the coffee places on the island, but... yeah, they had the best coffee we've had while here. There is a line to order and a bit of a wait before we got our drinks, and that's because everyone seems to have made their way here. Cute space and they have chairs and tables inside and outside, but there are, as I mentioned before, a lot of people, so it will be hard to find a free one. ICE CAP has a cloud and made with turbinado. Not too much so it wasn't too sweet. It was GREAT! GOAT CHEESE QUICHE was bomb. MASALA CHAI LATTE is warm in terms of "spicy". Overpriced and average. I got a chai here and it was $9, smaller than a Starbucks grande and tasted like the leftover milk from Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The place itself was very cute, so I might go back and try something else, but the price is difficult to justify. I was also disappointed that the cups were generic, recycled cups. AVOID AT ALL COST!! I stopped in for a vanilla latte on a Wednesday morning. At first I was quite taken back to see that they're charging between $6-$12 for various lattes, but I thought to myself it must be the best latte ever and the customer service must be outstanding with these exorbitant prices. As it turns out, I was wrong and it was simply a way overpriced latte from incompetent and rude staff and ridiculous owner and it ended up being the worst experience I've ever had at any coffee shop. Firstly - to address the owners comment below: the owner who commented below is a liar. Simple as that. it's actually pathetic that she'd rather lie than just apologize and make things right. There was a male barista when I was in on Wednesday. He was wearing mustard yellow pants that were extremely tight, to be specific! Also, a little customer service 101 for the owner - if a customer asks for a latte with no foam, YOU GIVE THEM A LATTE WITH NO FOAM. PERIOD. END OF STORY. You don't say, "oh you wanted a flat white?" they ordered incorrectly, which is why they encountered this experience? Erroneous! A simple apology and accountability of your errors would have been sufficient but no, the owner isn't capable! She's as incompetent and rude as her staff. And no, I don't just write bad reviews or hate this business at all. I report on EXACTLY what occurred - that's obvious from my past reviews as I give many people 5 stars and that's why I'm elite. On to the review.... Firstly, I didn't appreciate being asked if I wanted to "tip" on a $9 latte when all the cashier did was say, "what would you like to order?" That's not tip-worthy. 15 minutes after I ordered, the male barista in mustard yellow pants brought me out the latte. I informed him it was almost half foam and I asked for no foam. I must have ordered 1,000+ lattes with no foam at various places in my life and never had an issue. He stood there and looked at me perplexed and asked, "so do you just want steamed milk, do you want it hot?" No apology for the error, and nothing done from a customer service standpoint to make me feel better about waiting 15 minutes for an overpriced latte that was made incorrectly. Was he on drugs? He seemed like the most incompetent person I'd ever encountered. All I asked for was NO FOAM. A LATTE WITH NO FOAM. Obviously that includes steamed milk and it is hot. For the love of g-d. He went back in and 15 minutes later brought me out another latte WITH FOAM ON IT THAT WAS 3/4 full. I guess he didn't understand the English words that came out of my mouth. It was the most absurd and terrible experience I've ever had at any coffee shop. No apology, and 30 minutes of my life wasted on the worst latte I've ever had. GO ELSEWHERE, PLEASE. read more

Usually a painfully long wait, but if you have the time and aren't shocked by an $8 latte (if you opt for the $2 house-made nut milk add-on), then you will probably love it. Not bad for a once-a-trip stop, but also recommend Handlebar and other spots around island for your caffeine fix (Sconset Market, The Bean [when it reopens], The Hub, Lemon Press, etc.). read more

The place is a cute little coffee shop. Ordered a small black tea and a small mocha around 2:30PM There was two people ahead and two baristas but it took 30 minutes to get our drinks. So it's my last day on Nantucket, it's raining, and I need a strong cup of coffee. Thank heavens I found this little gem! Very modest from the street, but what a great space inside. They have lots of holistic and allergen friendly products to purchase, and a wide array of coffee drinks on their menu. I ended up getting a latte with their homemade Brazilian nut milk! It's 1.50 extra, but well worth it. Also to the vegans or lactose intolerant like myself out there, they had soy, almond, hemp, oat, and macadamias nut mills as well! I had the pleasure of visiting Nantucket for a few days and I always enjoy the search for good coffee wherever I go. I am talking about good espresso and or a good cup of black coffee not the stuff jammed with enough fat and sugar to taste like coffee ice cream (which is delicious, don't get me wrong!) I often find a good cup that makes the search worthwhile but in the case of Roastd I will admit I was impressed!! It is a good looking store with quality equipment (and a scale...why doesn't every shop use one?) and very knowledgeable baristas. My espresso was chocolatey and nutty balanced with a stone fruit acidity. It was sweet and over too soon. I did go back the next day and had a nearly identical shot from a different barista which says something about training there. If I could give them another star I would. read more

I was served by annabelle and I am in utter shock from the hostility I received. I have never in my life been treated so rudely to the point where I have written a Yelp review. She not only got my order wrong when I specifically asked for almond milk and received cows milk (I am lactose intolerant) but also was met with attitude for emphasizing the importance of the milk. Solid coffee shop that sells additional "health" conscious items, mostly cbd items. We ordered 4 iced drinks and the total was over $35 which I understand it's Nantucket, but that's pretty pricey, also one barista was pretty rude when we asked if they had a frozen coffee stating in a mocking tone "this isn't Starbucks." They have a shaken iced coffee, again given attitude when asked what's the difference (literally cold brew they shake like a cocktail with ice and add a nut milk too...not worth the price) Coffee shop is fine it's expensive for what it is and you can get decent coffee downtown or at local restaurants or other coffee shops around the island, I would not go out of my way to come here but if you need some caffeine and it's on the route it's an option. read more

The Owner's of the house we stayed at recommended Roastd. I am so glad they did. This place which currently opens at 6am is fantastic. The Staff could not have been nicer. They were pleasant every day I stopped in and really started my day in a positive note. The raw cacao mocha was delicious....no aftertaste on the espresso and not too sweet. I even enjoyed the gluten free muffins and scones and normally I don't usually like gluten free baked items. It is expensive but everything on Nantucket is these days so it's not out of line with Nantucket prices. read more

Such a cute little "local coffee shop" or "General Store", my husband I thought, as we bought 2 latte, 4 chocolate bars and some "healthy juices". It was expensive for sure, but we didn't question that...it's Nantucket after all. We drank the lattes, went home and offered our teenage son a chocolate bar. He ate it all. My husband also had some bites of chocolate and drank his "healthy" juice. I, for some reason saved mine, and only had a very small piece of chocolate. A few hours later both my husband and son were feeling awful. Dizzy, tingly, tired, lethargic. Really out of it. An ambulance ride and many tests at the hospital later, the Dr told us they had THC/marijuana/cannabis in their blood. We were shocked! This little "cute coffee shop" or "General Store" sells edible drugs and to anyone, no questions asked. No proper signage, no information from the sales people. No warnings. Should we have read the labels more carefully? Of course we should have!! We blame ourselves for drugging our son so badly that he had to ride an ambulance to the hospital. But, is this store misleading innocent customers who are not into drugs, not informing people properly, and promoting drugs to anyone?! It sure is. Warning people! Don't go to this drug dealer store if you just want a piece of good chocolate and some ginger juice...it will not be as sweet as you think. read more

Roastd is one of my favorite places around (on island and off!). When I am off island, I dearly miss their drinks and all of their carefully curated products in the store. It is always one of my first stops when I arrive on the island. They use the highest quality ingredients and they are extremely thoughtful about where and how they source ingredients to make sure the drinks are not only delicious, but so that you feel your best as well. I once read that coffee is one of the most heavily chemically treated foods in the world. I started to realize that once you switch to a higher quality coffee, you feel so much better and can tackle your day in a more effective way. We started buying our beans from Roastd to make high quality coffee at home too. I don't like fillers in most non-dairy milks, so the housemade non-dairy milks that they make at Roastd are an amazing option (though more expensive, but they do have other options as well). My favorite is the housemade shaken iced cacao with cashew milk and I like to add maca and/or rose. If you want an inexpensive coffee made with low quality coffee beans, this is definitely not the place for you. But if you appreciate high quality, sustainable and thoughtfully curated products, I promise that you will love it. read more

Roastd General Store is so much more than a coffee shop and I am not talking about the vast array of CBD products. Roastd offers community along with the best coffee (Stumptown) on the island. I have read reviews that talk about their prices but am a bit confused. As a religious coffee drinker, I know my daily price on Nantucket is only .30 more than what I pay in Boston. That seems totally fair to me, not only for the island factor but given the fact that the drinks are made with such care. The baristas, most of whom work multiple jobs, are always kind and caring. I often wonder where they get their energy and remember it is the passion for the place they work. I truly love my daily trip to Roastd and am thankful it opened! coffee is really good, but they only have one size, and it's super expensive. Lattes are really good, too. the Local Bee latte with local honey and bee pollen is nice and sweet, especially with coconut milk. if you aren't allergic to bees and like moderately sweet coffee, this might be the one for you.
