BLUF: A great spot for coffee and sweet or savory crepes. Tucked in along other businesses, Nat's Nook is the perfect name for this cozy crepes and coffee shop. The interior is relatively small with just a few tables but there are also a handful of tables outside. My husband and I enjoyed our breakfast inside on a cold day but many people were getting it go. Nat's Nook also serves lunch. For us, crepes always feel like a vacation treat. There's something about the delicate thinness of crepes that elevates breakfast into something extraordinary. Plus, I don't feel like I have the skill to make crepes at home. We both opted for savory crepes filled with eggs, spinach, goat cheese, and Swiss cheese. I went with a savory choice to get some protein in but in hindsight maybe we should have shared a sweet crepe too--those menu options looked incredible. As black coffee drinkers, we also appreciated the quality of their coffee. Those who are more adventurous coffee drinkers will enjoy the full menu of coffee options. It is tucked away in the corner and if you didn't catch the sign on the pole on the sidewalk, you wouldn't know it was there. I think they definitely need better signage. Unfortunately the service was very bad which overshadowed the food. The owner was very aggressive and rude, it made us very uncomfortable. He got many of our orders wrong despite asking us multiple times what we ordered (he should've just wrote it down), brought all of our food out very late, and someone at another table got upset and asked for a refund because they were waiting so long. There wasn't a lot of people at the restaurant so we didn't understand why the wait was so long, but being rude to everyone on top of that isn't acceptable. We were also nice and said thank you despite the rudeness and got no response at all. He just walked away. He did the same thing when he brought out incorrect orders and we asked for some clarification on what he was bringing out. Just turned around and walked away while we were talking to him. I stopped by here this past Monday morning with my wife for breakfast. Nat's Nook is located right of off Main Street down a little "alley". It is hidden well enough that my wife and I waked by it a couple of times over the weekend without noticing it was there. In any case the restaurant has a cute coffee shop feel to it with plenty of different hot drinks available and then the crepes as well. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and we opted for outdoor seating since it was a mild spring day. For breakfast on this day I ordered a crepe with chicken, havarti, avocado and pesto while my wife went a crepe that had ham, Swiss and some other stuff on it. After ordering my wife and I sat outside for maybe 10 minutes or so before her crepe came. My crepe was about 5 minutes behind that and while I encouraged my wife to eat it while it was hot, she waited for me. Whenever my crepe did come it was quite good. It had plenty of filling in it and a surprising amount of pesto which was really tasty. The cheese was ooey and gooey while the chicken was a nice protein addition and I appreciated the healthiness of the avocado in it even if I didn't exactly understand it. My wife also enjoyed her crepe and thought that hers was quite full as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our food as well as the location with the somewhat set back location from the foot traffic on Main Street seeming peaceful. read more

I got the #15 crepe, which has strawberries, bananas, and nutella. It was superb: warm, tasty and absolutely delicious. Cute little cafe in Vine Haven that we stopped at for breakfast. I love their little set up in the shade of some old trees with just the right amount of space indoors for seating during normal circumstances. They make crepes here and I got the spinach, egg, and goat cheese. It was just okay nothing special and it really needed something else and seemed rather dry. I also got a cold brew which was wickedly strong and I couldn't add enough to it to make it drinkable. Speaking of which, for the prices of the cold brew (over five dollars) and the crepes most hovering around 10+ having alternate dairy available for drinks should be a guaranteed thing. I was very disappointed to see whole milk or half and half only. I mean come on, you have an island full of rich people with high class tastes and tourists. You need to have dairy alternatives available it's just inexcusable. Anyway...rant aside. Super cute place, the pricing just is what it is, expensive. Super cute quaint restaurant off of the Main Street near the Vineyard Haven ferry stop. The coffee is good and the food is ok once they bring you the RIGHT order or even bring it at all, but the service is extremely slow (we waited over an hour+ for our food) and the staff is RUDE (especially the man that was working the morning of 8/15/2020) and unapologetic to mistakes. While we were at the restaurant one customer even went off on the server because they arrived 30 minutes before us (mind you, we waited an hour, so they waited 1hr 30 minutes) and our food came out first. The server's only response was "I don't cook the food, I just bring it". The customer demanded a refund and was luckily given it before they stormed off, but never received an apology. 2 of our orders were WRONG. For one of the orders we specified a bagel when ordering, the man came out and asked if it was a crepe or bagel (we said bagel for the 2nd time) he brought out a crepe and we told him it was suppose to be a bagel (3rd time) he brought the crepe back in and brought it out again and asked who ordered that crepe so we had to tell him for a FOURTH time it was suppose to be a bagel. One of our orders NEVER CAME (this was 2 hours after arriving), and once we started noticing people way after us getting their orders we asked for a refund. The waiter's only response was "Do you have a receipt?" which luckily my friend grabbed it because even when the receipts were printed, he had been taking them and throwing them away instead of handing them to the customers. Nat's Nook is but a short walk from the ferry at Vineyard Haven. Set slightly off from the main street, seating is available both out front and inside their whimsically decorated space. We ordered and paid at the counter and our crepes were brought out to us. Both sweet and savory came simply and unaccompanied. No salad, no fruit, no garnish of any sort, with the exception of a cloud of powdered sugar. For our savory course, we selected the breakfast crepe (served 7am-11am) #5 Egg and Swiss with Mushroom and Spinach $6.50. That was basically it. No additional ingredients were slipped in unawares, though I think some spread or sauce would have done a world of good, it was also tasty enough in its simplicity. As for our sweet, we went with the #1 Nutella hazelnut spread with fresh strawberries or banana, dusted with powdered sugar $6.50 with just the banana, and that was quite yum. Tough to do wrong if you have a goodly amount of Nutella involved! Conveniently, they had a single unisex bathroom available for patrons. 3.5 stars read more

I came here for a nice breakfast one rainy day, and decided to try a crepe, even though I'm not a HUGE crepe person. I am so glad that I decided to try it, because the crepe was like a gift from Heaven. I got the sweet crepe, with nutella, bananas, and strawberries. It was a perfect portion for one person, and it was just amazing. It was a little bit hard to find, because it's hidden back a bit, but I am so glad that I did find it! I've been a semi-regular here over the last couple of months, mostly because of its coffee and wifi combination, with the occasional crepe thrown into the mix. The food is generally above average, with a good range of items including fresh scones, other baked goods and the aforementioned tasty crepes. Coffee is imported from Rao's in the Pioneer Valley, which is a nice throwback for me since I went to undergrad there. It tends to be overly hot in the inside of the shop, and I have no idea why, so a seat by the air conditioner is generally my preferred spot, and that's the primary reason that I don't give this business a five star review. This space had previously been home to a coffee shop with a slightly less inviting decor, but somewhat similar menu, so I'm glad to see it find new life. read more

Nat's Nook is a cute little place located not far from the Vineyard Haven ferry. There are about 8 tables inside and that many out during warmer weather. The foundation for this place is crepes and coffee and they do both quite well. The coffee special during our visit was a Himalayan Salted Caramel Latte-it was smooth, rich & slightly sweet. The #19 S'mores crepe is exactly as advertised-sweet & gooey. #2 Egg, Cheese & Sausage crepe was packed with filling. #8 Smoked Turkey & Cheddar with tomatoes and chipotle ranch hit all the flavor notes. The Crimson Iced Tea food but very strong so get a small and just keep adding water. They also offer day old baked goods hat they will toast or use in your sandwich order to reduce the cost. This is a super nice gesture that I have never seen before. This place is worth the slightly further walk than some of the other places, so take the stroll, you will be glad you did. read more
