First time in and had the Philly cheesesteak, coleslaw, and a reuben, but when we got home, they had given us someone else's roast beef sandwich with a ton of horseradish and coleslaw instead of the coleslaw. All 3 sandwiches were large and full of meat. We got it to go and by the time we got home, the sandwiches were a little soggy from the juices. Still was good though. The Philly cheesesteak was very good. A large was big enough to split between my teenage son and I. The roast beef was good, but I got a blast of horseradish up the nose after what I thought was a clump of Cole slaw, and I was done. My husband enjoyed his Reuben. Wish I could have tried just my order of Cole slaw. Maybe next time... I wished I had ordered the fries after seeing how thin and crispy they were. Waitstaff was busy, but sweet and helpful. Everything seems to be homemade there. Will definitely try again.

3 rd time here. Instead of the large north shore roast beef sandwich without mayo but lots of James river bbq sauce & cheese on a grilled onion roll. The sandwich is perfection plus. Sadly I decided to have a cheese steak with onions. When we got home we ate. My sandwich was horrible; soggy bread & the steak had zero taste, I threw out the sandwich; a complete disappointment. Lesson learned stick with the north shore roast beef sandwich.

What the freak? This place is SO good. And open late! I really don't want to write too much because it'd be like a trailer giving away too much of the plot. You're going to leave this establishment questioning everything you though you knew about roast beef sandwiches.

Really enjoyed Roasty's! Based on other questionable reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but we liked it a lot. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave us recommendations based on what we were craving. We went with the Boston-style roast beef, and it was terrific. They offer six different styles, and I want to return to try the rest as they looked really good. The string fries were a letdown, and I honestly do not understand the point of those -- it was my first time having them and definitely the last. We also ordered a side of cheese for the fries, which, in retrospect, didn't make much sense due to how thin they are. It's almost impossible to dip them. The atmosphere inside is okay. It's a casual spot with limited tables. We didn't mind eating inside, but it did feel more like a takeout spot!

We were traveling and away from home, looking for something delicious for dinner. When traveling, we rely on reviews, pictures, and locals. I had just recently read Anthony Bourdain's description of a North Shore MA "three way" sandwich and then also found us not too far away from Roasty's (did the stars align?)... The really friendly guy at the counter greeted us and was happy to answer my questions as to his favorite items on the menu. We opted for a 3 way, a special sub made up of bbq beef, Swiss, onions, and slaw, and the beast fries. Too much food? ABSOLUTELY. Do we regret it? NO! We could have easily split one sandwich and fries and still walked away full. I ordered the large 3 way and only ate about half, the fries were too good to resist, and those really filled me up. The garlic sauce on the Beast fries will keep you taking one bite after another, after another. I love leftovers, so no regrets. This place is a gem. There were comfy tables inside, and a friendly atmosphere. They seem to slice the meat fresh once you order. It takes a little time, but so worth it. Staff is super friendly and engaging. Food was phenomenal. We will be back! Pro tip: keep the Boston in the foil when you pick it up - much less messy!

Went here the other night to try out this new roast beef spot. I love roast beef sandwiches and have had some very good ones from mass and wanted to see how they compare. Firstly the staff was very friendly and the restaurant itself has a nice vibe to it and it is very modern. They also have a selection of beer to choose from. We got the large three way roast beef sandwich. It was massive and packed with meat! And the taste was very good. The roast beef was good pretty well and the bun was delicious. We also got the shoe string fried which I loved and they give you plenty. Finally we also got a cheesesteak as well which we took home. The bread was a little soggy but overall it tasted pretty good. Meat was juicy and the cheese was melted throughout the entire sandwich. Overall this place is great for a late night feast or if you love roast beef sandwiches. There aren't many places you can get this stuff in Portland so I recommend checking it out!

Awesome! Had heard about this place since they opened several months ago. Went there for lunch with my buddy Connor and we had the traditional roast beef with the sauce and the barbecue sauce and the horseradish sauce and the sharp American cheese and I also got the coleslaw and we got the cheesy french fries and everything was beyond expectation! The food was great the coleslaw was The Best Coleslaw I've ever had the roast beef sandwich definitely on par with the best roast beef I've ever had! Great atmosphere great service the line Cooks there were really awesome as well. Looking forward to going back again sometime soon!

Probably didn't need the 8oz sandwich. But ate every morsel. Maybe the best north shore beef I've ever had

She's was very accommodating with my deconstructed requests for both Sandwiches. An A+ employee. My Market sandwich (eggplant) was just okay. The bread was for a better word "stale" I could hardly bite into it. The same was true of the turkey ceasar hoagie. However the turkey was very good. I'm going to have to think hard if I ever want to try another hoagie from Ramona's. I know the owners are both respected chefs in their own right but I'm having a tough time justifying whether I will return.

Urg. I was excited to try this place but the egg sandwich I got (the Ramona with broccoli rabe,…read morebacon, American cheese) fell short. The roll was ever so slightly stale and the broccoli rabe had chili in it (so even though I asked for chili on the side it's still in the vegetable part). I also have a total pet peeve about American cheese. In this instance, it just made the sandwich have a gluey internal texture. I often find it is gourmet places trying to be trendy that use American cheese as though they are able to rebrand it. Sharp American or not, the cheese would have been way better in my opinion had it been cheddar or Swiss or really anything. To be fair, the bacon was well-cooked and the eggs were nicely scrambled. Although the sandwich idea is original (broccoli rabe on a breakfast sandwich), I found the flavors just didn't come together. For what it's worth, service was friendly and efficient. Moreover, like a few other places on the East End, I find this place is just sort of too curated, overly self-conscious, and trying too hard to be trendy. I would take a straightforward breakfast sandwich over one that comes with a side of merch and a Brooklyn-hipster-like environment any day.

The owner is really adorable and they were quick to take and prepare a takeout order. Everything from start to finish was done with love and care. The Banh mi was solid -- good filling and the roast pork was great. We are lucky to have a lot of plentiful Vietnamese food options around and welcome a new addition to the area. Streetwich is not as convenient for me but I have one Vietnamese friend in sopo and she deserves her own access to Banh mi too.

"Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.
