Local businesses, not chains, dominate the Main Street. When we walked into the bee store we found many more beekeepers waiting for the colonies to arrive. Apparently the bees are kept outside of town and brought to town inside this big box truck. Everyone was so nice while we waited for the 'NUC' boxes to be distributed. I spoke with a charter school teacher that lost 4 hives last winter and was picking up 4 more. She was driving a hatchback and I felt way better driving my truck with the bees outside the cab.
