In December of 2023, I retained the services of this law firm for a discrimination and retaliation case against my former employer, paying a $7,000 retainer with the expectation that the firm would pursue private mediation on my behalf. However, throughout the one-year period that followed, I experienced a significant lack of communication and minimal effort in advancing my case. After my initial consultation with Mr. Wherry, the majority of my case was passed to another attorney at the firm, Ellen, whose engagement with the case felt cursory at best. I repeatedly had to correct her on key facts, suggesting that she was not fully familiar with the details of my situation. Despite raising concerns about the handling of my case, I saw no improvements. Mr. Wherry, after promising more involvement, disappeared once again after a brief meeting. During mediation, it became evident that Ellen had not conducted the necessary due diligence to fully understand my employer's position. She was visibly surprised to learn that my former employer had an arbitration agreement--a crucial detail that should have been uncovered much earlier in the process. I finally found a True & Honest Attorney that will fight till the end. Deontae Wherry, Fadi and Rob Wiley was amazing. I gave 23 years of my life to a big Company. My initial consultation was with Rob Wiley and he explained to me that it would be an uphill battle and did not give me false hopes but I was adamant about trying because it was an emotional thing in that I was done very wrong by some evil people. I was impressed by Mr. Wiley and took a liking to him immediately and after reading his bio, I was even more impressed. It was a decision I made on PRINCIPLE and it was not an unwinnable case. I was very optimistic about winning after I saw the precedent used and the work done by Kolandra Wheeler whom I thought was an excellent representative. I really liked her and she gave me not only her optimism but also her compassion about my plight. Although the outcome was not in my favor, I have absolutely no regrets about fighting. Don't use this law firm, it's a BIG RIP-OFF!! I went to Mr Wiley's law firm on two (2) different occasions in July 2016 and again on August 4th 2016. I came across his website while I was looking to find someone who could help represent me in my EEOC discrimination case against a Federal agency. According to his website profile he claims to help employees who have been treated unfairly by their employer. Well, I thought he was going to help me in my case but all he was concerned about was taking my MONEY!! He charged me $3,000 for a retainer fee and then he stated he was going to take 30% of any settlement I would receive in my case. Both times I went to his office I had to meet him via Skype instead of in person like most lawyers offices. His staff was completely unorganized and did not return phone calls in a timely manner. I am a disabled individual with 5 children and a Wife on a fixed budget and all he was concerned about was stealing my MONEY! shame on you Mr. Wiley your predictor praying on disadvantaged individuals!! Although Mr. Wiley has not formally represented me in a labor dispute, I have had the opportunity to meet with him on multiple occasions, and can see why his reputation precedes him among his colleagues. Mr. Wiley prides himself on his experience and his practice, including his team of attorneys, which is why he's ensured to employ only the best and brightest the state has to offer. When a potential new client comes in for a consultation, he is honest and gives them the same attention as a client that has already signed-up. He could easily string clients along and bleed them dry, like many attorneys do. Instead, he is always truthful about the merits of a case, whether it's a great case or just awful. My sincere advice to anyone who wants to choose the Rob Wiley firm. They are #1 money suckers, swindlers. It was so disgusting that during the crucial period when the attorney (Deontae Wherry) should be following up on the case, he went missing for 6 weeks. No response to emails and gave a silly reason to cover up. The result was the case went in favour of the opposite party. Deontae repeats himself several times the same thing over the phone and writes the same in emails so that he can charge twice. He is highly disorganised and lacks a basic strategy to fight a case. If I could have given zero stars I would have. I did not have a good experience dealing with Rob Wiley. I basically paid him $5,075 to get fired from my job. He showed no real interest in helping me even after the letter sent to my employer got me fired. Once I got fired and we received the right to sue letter, he would not lift another finger unless I paid him another $5,000. His comment to me was "I do this for the money." I didn't expect him to work for free, but I definitely expected him to do some work for the money he had been given and what he was asking for.
