I had a very disappointing experience with the owner of Carlsbad Electric…read more The initial call was to diagnose and fix a faulty GFCI. During the visit, the outlet box/cover was damaged, and I was told it would require an additional charge and return trip to replace it, costing hundreds of dollars. Prior to starting on that issue, I asked about a problem with our low-voltage landscape lighting. Within the first moments of troubleshooting, wiring was cut in two locations, the issue remained unresolved, and the wires were left exposed, which I had to repair myself. Ultimately, the GFCI issue was traced to two GFCIs on the same circuit (from a prior homeowner), but this was only determined after the visit. The total bill exceeded $400 for less than an hour of work and a single GFCI/outlet that likely cost less than $25. Based on the overall experience--damage during service, unresolved issues, and pricing--I would not recommend. Update: The owner responded stating multiple hours were spent, that all issues were resolved, and that additional work was performed at no charge. My review reflects the final outcome, including the cause of the issue and the total cost. My comments are not meant to be personal, just an accurate account of my experience so others can make informed decisions.

We went from contemplating getting a second lamp to provide better lighting in our family room since that's one of our son's main play areas, to going all in on overhauling the lighting in many of our rooms. Is it weird to say that maybe someone's too fast? Knocking all of these projects off on our to-do list so quickly just leaves me wondering what we should do next. Thanks again Daniel!

Daniel has done several jobs for my home over the past couple years and I've been happy with all of…read moreit. First I hired him to do a peace-of-mind check to make sure all the outlets and wiring were safe since the home is 35+ years old. He also explained everything I had questions about. Then he fixed a faulty outdoor light system and mounted it to the stucco. A year later he installed two ceiling light fixtures, one of which was in a very complicated and one which needed an extra tall ladder. Most recent job he completed was a multi-part garage project. He measured very carefully and installed 5 recessed ceiling lights, connected them to the old switch which he replaced and updated with a dimmer switch, safely capped/covered a very old 240v outlet, wired two new outlets and fixed another one. He was very communicative with me to double check that I liked the placement and look of everything before doing it, and we talked through the reasons for each outlet to make the best plan. I recently painted a checkered wall which I was nervous to have messed up but I needed an outlet on that wall. He made such a clean cut and installation that I don't even need to touch up the paint or anything. (See pic) I highly recommend All Pro Electric
