I was able to get a service appt quickly to evaluate a circuit breaker issue I was having The technician arrived right on schedule, was very thorough in his assessment and identified the need to replace the breaker. Performed the work well and explained what he had done as well as additional work he recommended. I had been told when I made the appt that time was charged at $150/hr. The technician was at my house for 1.5 hrs and I was charged for two hours and the part. The charge I wasn't told about and was surprised to have is $250 for a workmanship warranty which warranties the technician's work. It was over 1/3 of the bill and I had just never seen a separate charge for this type of warranty without being told about it ahead of time. Make sure to ask about that if you use their services so you understand all the charges involved. read more

Matthew, from Good Electric, is one of the greatest human beings as well as an electrician. After calling around for a good electrician, Matthew did not come out arrogant, unlike many electricians who claim to know the problem. Instead, he was patient to listen to the problems at hand. Everything was professional leading to the day of the service. He ends up finding multiple problems, a loose wire on the switch and a bad GFCI outlet for the garbage disposal. He replaced both items just because he felt they needed to be replaced. In addition, he went around to check the other outlets because a previous inspector listed a few as "hot return". During this process, he found a bad stripped wire and removed it at our request. This would be dangerous because someone could have been shocked or caused a fire. It was a great experience working with Matthew, and absolutely recommend his service to anyone. His rate was very reasonable. By walking around to check the list of "hot return" outlets and fix the problems without hesitation shows me that he loves his work and makes sure that his clients are much better and safer then before he arrived. read more

Recommended to trench for an electrical panel replacement (zinsko), which was incorrect advice. SDGE came out and determined no trenching was necessary. Money grab probably. They quoted 17k instead of 2-3k (like for like panel replacement). Granted the quote was over the phone, and they were polite. read more
