Terrible record keeping! Several years ago we tried Dr Boostanfar for gender selection and was unsuccessful. We signed paperwork and was assured by their manager all of our blastocysts would be disposed of. Even though discouraged by Dr Boostanfar's predicted 13% chance of getting pregnant, life moved on. I didn't feel the compassion only the obvious importance of money. Years later to add to insult to injury, due to lack of organization and professionalism, Dr Boostanfar's office NEVER disposed of our blastocysts and incurring cost of over $1000 from storage!!!! Not only are we traumatized from the process of IVF, we just got a letter from a collection agency for storage. Terrible experience. Though I only met with Dr. Boostanfar once, I'd like to say he's one of the most thorough doctors I have met. I had been dealing with miscarriages for over two years, and had seen a handle of different doctors which pushed to try IVF. Dr. B did an extensive blood work on me to find out the root of the problem which I am forever thankful for. Given my bloodwork results, even doing IVF alone would not have worked so I'm glad I did not move forward with the plan. My wife and I were patients of Dr. Boustanfar two years ago. We paid for the initial consultation and completed an advanced semen analysis. Now, two years later, they're requiring another initial consultation fee of $350, claiming we're 'new patients' despite our history there. Scheduling has been a hassle, with repeated calls needed just to get a test scheduled. Communication has been equally disappointing, with rare responses from nurse advisors. I feel extremely lucky to have Dr. Boostanfar as my doctor. He's the kind of physician who is creative and doesn't shy away from a complicated case (which mine is). I've dealt with fertility issues for a few years now, and the one thing that I've learned is that everyone's body is different and there is no "one size fits all" solution. Exactly a year ago today, my husband and I had our first consultation with Dr. Boostanfar at HRC Encino. While I didn't have issues conceiving, I had suffered a miscarriage and lost both Fallopian tubes due to 2 ectopic pregnancies. We knew that IVF was our path to God's precious gift of children. Dr. B had a game plan to make our dream of becoming parents a reality. I fully put my trust in God and His plan for us. I left this review for HRC Encino as well, but since we have been seeing Dr. Boostanfar, I wanted to leave the review here also. My wife and I went through six years of fertility challenges before getting pregnant and having our first wonderful baby girl. We went through multiple IUI and IVF, we even used HRC in Pasadena (we live in the Pasadena area) before switching to Dr. Boostanfar in HRC Encino. After our first two IVF (with HRC in Pasadena) we decided to look for someone new. Dr. Boostanfar was recommended independently by multiple sources and he was in our round of interviews for a new doctor (I believe we interviewed three different ones). We are very glad we went with Dr. B. Even from our first initial appointment, his energy and enthusiasm and sincerity was a comfort. He was also out-of-the-box in his discussion with us and yet very practical because after each recommendation or discussion point my wife and I would be thinking, "well, yeah I guess that does make sense". Running a Racket - Waited 3 hours, saw Dr. Boo for less than 20 minutes. Charged $375 and told to come back in a month for $1500 worth of tests that I got done at LabCorp for $40. I contacted Dr. Boo as he came highly recommended. I was very specific in my requests for a consultation for egg freezing/retrieval. I said, that I wanted to take the hormone blood tests, have an ultrasound and be in a position to understand where I stood so that I could properly evaluate whether this was something I needed to do now. I asked if I needed to be off BC in order to do the tests. They said no. So, you can imagine how upsetting it was to have taken off work to sit in the waiting room for 3 hours and paid $375 only to be told to come back in 2 months once I was off BC for at least 30 days. Even worst, when I asked the nurse why the person answering the phone advised me differently. She said she was just a receptionist and didn't know what she was talking about. (I found that response extremely off putting). Dr. Boo gave me 20 minutes of his time and acted like he was doing me a favor by sitting with me. He barely explained the process and pushed me off to sign paperwork for the procedure. I asked about the tests I needed to take and they gave me a sheet of paper which specified all of the genetic and Hormone tests needed for a rate of $1500. I took that list to the LabCorp facility in Beverly Hills and they charged me $40 for the entire panel. So besides feeling like I was taken advantage of. I didn't actually learn anything about the procedure, risks, success rate, or where my body stood for may age. A big disappointment. If anyone from Dr. Boo's office is reading. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I want my money back. Thankfully, I continued my search and found another Doctor who I found to be very attentive, had good bedside manner and provided me with all the information I needed in order to make this decision. read more

We saw some good online reviews with Dr. Boostanfar and went to his clinic. Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Boostanfar was negative. He seems smart but his treatment was expensive, and he didn't spend time to explain to us our questions and finished consultation earlier than time he should spend. We weren't noticed in front about he was taking two weeks' vacation. In middle of treatment, we were given many unnecessary meds to hold IVF process and wait for him to come back. When we tried to see if there are other options, we were told this Dr don't talk to patient on the phone. He was very picky to patients over 40, seems he concerns his IVF successful statistics over caring. Fertility treatment is stressful journey. HRC Fertility, specifically Dr. Boostanfar is the place to go if having trouble conceiving. He came highly recommended by my OB and it turned out that a couple aquantainces of mine had actually gone to him as well. Make a long story short, Dr. Boostanfar makes it very clear from day 1 that his job is to get you pregnant and get you out of there. He doesn't fluff a lot and can occasionally be short, but he is very caring and will give you time if you need it. I went with the flow with everything, I just put my trust in him since he is one of the best and in God and it all worked out. His staff plays a major role in your experience and everyone is incredible, from the front desk, to back office, to RN's,P.A.'s, you name it, everyone has a very personalized and hands on approach with what you are going through. Dr. B and his team are just wonderful. When I first went to see Dr. B I was so discouraged, I had gone to other doctors for years who never really listened and just prescribed random medication. Dr. B actually took his time and explained every test we would do to get to the root of why I wasn't conceiving. After so many tests and medications we decided to do 3 cycles of medicated IUI's. Each time both Dr. B and his team made me feel so comfortable and were rooting for us. One of the nurses even asked if we can say a prayer together which meant the world to me. After 3 unsuccessful IUI's we talked about IFV but Dr. B encouraged us to take a few months off and just rest. I actually pushed for more IUI's but he kept telling us to take the time off first and that we may get pregnant on our own. Sure enough a few months later we did get pregnant on our own.
