Finding the right landscaper is not an easy task, so now that our landscape has had some time to mature, we thought we'd write a review! Four years ago, my husband and I moved from Michigan into a lovely home in Bergen County, New Jersey. The house had been completely remodeled only five years prior, but the landscape was a mess: the only curb appeal was the house itself. And the backyard was equally uninviting: a too-small patio was hemmed in by a row of sparse hedges creating a patio prison, and the rest of the yard was cut out of sight. A lack of trees caused us no privacy in the greater part of the yard. We needed help and started asking around for suggestions. We interviewed and met some really nice people, but most couldn't identify plants or trees by name and not one came with a creative vision. Until we met Robert Bradley. He sketched what HE felt would work for our home and property, he offered us his CREATIVE VISION. Something no one else had done. It was beautiful even on paper, but in person our beautiful yard has character. It frames our lovely home and ENHANCES it. We have received countless compliments on the overall landscape, and even on specific plantings and trees. If you would like to hire a landscaper who has no opinion or vision, and will carry out only what you think is best--Robert would not be your man. I have lived in Closter for over 20 years and every year I see the beautiful flowers at Exxon in Closter. So I called off of his sign to get an estimate for planting in my back property. In 2015 I redid my entire home in Old Tappan. I had a hard time getting landscapers to actually start the work needed. Many of them came and gave costing. They did a lot of work and then when it was time to start the job they all disappeared. I bought an older piece of property in Upper Saddle River. The property had fallen into disarray because of neglect and massive old oaks on the property and he eliminated branches and opened up the property to the point that the areas where we couldn't grow anything are now thriving.
