Do not use this accountant. They have horrible customer service. The secretary is rude and does not forward important messages. The CPA works slow and when I inquired about the slow rate of work they became hostile. They are overpriced and do little to communicate with clients. read more

We did not choose this CPA, but our old one retired and he recommended him and passed on our files to him, both personal and business. It turned out this CPA is a nightmare. He only communicates with us if we hound him down and it takes weeks and many emails and calls. His staff is not very informative either. They ask a lot of money for a simple annual tax return, being $450 and even then it was not well done and we had to guess status frequently. When we had a request for tax advice, which we were prepared to pay for, he left us hanging with no answer for weeks, then initially sent a cryptic email, which did not help and dragged his feet getting a phone call set up for over a month. My dealings have been a nightmare. One year I begged for my taxes to be completed in January. On April 14th I was informed that they were not ready. The accountant was overwhelmed. They did not inform me that my 2012 taxes had not been filed electronically. I went to Robert Alario CPA on a recommendation for a new business and personal taxes. He DOES NOT COMMUNICATE - after several unanswered messages and unanswered emails I never got the business advice. It cost me thousands. He screwed up my personal tax return so badly that he thrust me into a Dept of Revenue audit that took me forty hours of my time to correct. I would not trust this company or individual to cash a one dollar bill and give me the correct change. I refused to pay his $500 fee for personal taxes and found myself in small claims court with an attorney that had several other Alario clients on the docket. Note - don't bother going to Leominster small claims to argue against a business in Leominster regardless of your reasons. My advice - you would be better off giving a third grade class your taxes to figure out. read more
