This is the worst dealership I have ever seen in my entire life! I bought a brand new Chevy suburban from this place and my sales guy was this Pakistani guy named Sam. He gave me a different price in the beginning and then he said he didn't have this vehicle in stock so I'm gonna have to wait to pick it up. I said fine I will wait. Now I get a call week later that this truck is in. I go there and this guy comes up with different numbers. I was quiet surprised but ohh well. I wanted this truck so I took it. He gave me bunch of bullshit about the price but it was whatever. Their bullshit didn't end there. This was just getting started! I kept going there for my regular service for routine checkup. These lazy morons only did my oil change but they never cared to tell me that if I needed new brakes or cabin air filter needs to be replaced or any other recommendations. Such a horrible place. I had to change my rotors just because they were too busy in their bullshit and they couldn't see what my vehicle needed. I kid you not that GM really need to shut this place down or give it in better hands! I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. I'm sure they got all these positive reviews from their worker or friends. Just all fake reviews. I was really pissed with their service. If they can't take care of the car that was bought from their dealership then this is just messed up! They suck big time! I just realized this place has more 1 stars than I could have imagined! I went into Robert cheverlot because I had some warning lights on my dashboard. My car has a warranty so instead of going to my mechanic I went to Robert cheverlot. I told John in the service depot I'm only interested in warranty work meaning I do not want to pay any money. After all that's why customers like having a warranty. I was told the reason the lights were coming on was because the brake pads were low and had to be replaced which was true, but didn't mention they didn't have to be replaced immediately. John made it seem they had to be replaced immediately. I thought that was odd since my brakes were working fine. I then spoke to my mechanic who told me to add brake fluid and change the pads in about 6,000 miles. I added brake fluid which cleared all the lights. It would have been nice to get that honest response from John at Robert cheverlot. Instead not only did he make it seem that I needed pads immediately and did not mention anything about brake fluid, but he also wanted me to pay a $130 diagnostic fee. After I told him that I'm not paying the fee and not having any non warranty work done at Robert cheverlot I was told a diagnostic fee would apply and was rudly told never to return to Robert cheverlot ever again. read more

The word that comes to mind when describing my experience with Roberts Chevrolet is "Bizarre" and that is saying something, I have been purchasing cars for almost 40 years, Over the years I have had some negative car buying experiences but also some positive ones as well. This is one shady operation though, So I see an ad in the Newsday for Roberts, I take the ad to the dealer and show it to the salesman, he looks at it and acts totally confused, totally perplexed as if he has never seen ink on paper before. I ask him, this is Roberts Chevrolet? he sort of nods, and this is your ad? again I get a sort of nod. Okay, I explain that I want to lease the Equinox that is advertised in the ad for $229.00, please just write it up so I have all the up front costs detailed (taxes, DMV, etc.) and it is clear to both of us. The salesman sits with another guy and comes back tells me that the car I want is out of stock, they only have a better equipped vehicle and that will cost me $249.00 instead of $229.00, sensing a scam, I asked, well what exactly is the different equipment in this better equipped model? The salesman then explains that the $249.00 a month car has remote start, back up camera, AWD, so respond...uh-huh....well, so DOES THE CAR IN YOUR AD FOR $229.00!!! lets read it together again shall we?? the equipment is IDENTICAL, the only difference is you are trying to rip me off. He says that I should leave my number and he will see what he can do, lol. So at this point I sort of lose it, tell the guy what a scum bag thief he is and leave, I went to N.S. Honda and leased a CRV, I was treated with respect and their was a much higher level of professionalism at N.S.H. So, I will tell anyone that will listen to avoid Roberts Chevrolet at all costs, this is the type of place that gives car dealers a bad name. read more

Our experience was AMAZING!! My husband and I have always hesitated to buy cars or even walk into a dealership because we dread the 8-10 hour process. But we were in dire need of a car and decided to go to Robert Chevrolet because it was close to the house, and I am beyond happy that we did. As soon as we got out of our car and walked onto the lot we were greeted instantly by Sal. We told him we were just looking and had a few questioned, and he continued to talk with us. He showed us some cars in the show room and was never pushy. He didn't try to force us into a nicer or larger car, he didn't start running numbers until we said we were ready to start pricing things out. We honestly could not have been happier with our experience. Robert Chevrolet, Sal and Cathy took the sting out of buying/leasing a car. Just left here after aimlessly walking around for almost a half an hour because there wasn't enough staff to help us. We were greated by a nice receptionist who told us the cars we were interested were in the back lot. We went outside romed the back lot and saw a sales rep who told us all the camaros were in a garage if we go inside and get a sales rep to open up the garage we could view them. We went back inside and looked around everyone was busy so we asked the rep we saw outside and he says he was with a customer another sales rep can help us, with a bit of a tude. All you have to do is open the door no? So we see one rep finishing up and we approach him and he exclaims sorry I can't right now I haven't had a break in 4 hours. That's really hilarious sometimes I go 8 hours without a break. So we wait and wait then see a line pile up and decide to leave as the original sales rep who couldn't open the garage for us sees us walking out and doesn't say anything. We were in the market for a purcahse but guess another dealer and reo will get the business won't be back. read more

I just wanted to give a big thank you to Eric Hartmann (Sales Associate) at Robert Chevrolet in Hicksville, NY. I just recently went back to lease yet another Chevy Cruze. With Eric's help, it was nothing but smooth and easy. He is so knowledgeable and extremely good at his job. Within a matter of minutes, we were able to see what the best lease was for me and even found some great current discounts. My friends ask me why I travel all the way to Hicksville when I live in Freeport and there's a Paul Conte Chevrolet there...and I simply tell them because it's just so easy to deal with Eric and get things done correctly in such a short amount of time. Be very wary if you are considering doing business here. They WASTE YOUR TIME! I was looking for a red Tahoe with certain options and couldn't find one near where I live. I found one at Robert Chevrolet so I sent an email inquiry. Nancy called and after some discussion asked when I would like to come in. I made an appointment for late that afternoon and explained that I would have to drive several hours to get there. Nancy said that she wouldn't be there but she had all of my information ready and would leave it in a folder so a salesperson would have easy access. I ran into traffic so I called to say that I would be later. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem and the person I spoke with found the folder and said that she left a note on the file. I finally arrived at the dealership and when I entered was eventually greeted by a pleasant salesman named Sam. I explained about the Tahoe and he found the folder, got the key and we went for a test drive. He got price for my trade in and I said that I wanted it and was going to give him a deposit. Sam went to get something and came back and told me that someone else left a deposit that afternoon. I was very upset and made it known since I just drove a long distance. Sam tried to find another like it but was not successful in finding a 2017. He then tried to find a 2018 with the same features. He went and talked to John and came back with the finance person who told me that it looked like the credit of the person who left the deposit was weak and if it fell through, I could have the Tahoe. I said I drove a long way and that I wanted a deal before I left. Again Sam spoke with John and then told me he could call me by noon the next day to let me know if the other deal fell through. I told him not to bother. Big disappointment and HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!! read more

Sales department is great.. Service on the other is absolutely horrible. They never get back to you and to reach someone on the phone it takes about 20 minutes or longer each time. Every service advisor you speak to is rude and doesn't care about you in the slightest. Doesn't matter how bad of shape your car is in, you have to wait a month to get it serviced. Had a water leak, car smelt like crap, and was afraid mold was going to grow. Expressed my issues to the service advisors and they didn't care. My car while being serviced for that water leak also left without my notice of them breaking retainer clips for my backseat. I called to complain and they ordered parts and said they would call me when they got them. It's been a week and couple days, still haven't called. I know they have them because corporate told me they did, but they didn't call to even make things right. I would say use the sales department, suffer through the free maintenance through service they give you, and as soon as that's done go to another chevy service or go independent. read more

I Brought my 2012 chevy Tahoe in for various metal noise in front and rear axle when starting and stopping particularly on turns back in march 2016. I assumed it was something in suspension or ball joint or both. Right off the bat the guy in the front says "if we don't find nothing you will have a service charge". I said if you don't find nothing then your mechanics are either deaf or blind. They call me a few hours later saying the car is ready and they found nothing. The mechanic said it was "brake slap" due to a poor brake job and its not covered under warranty. They waived the service fee this time. I said ok no problem after john was condescending enough to call me an amateur for stating that my brakes are pretty new by visual observation from outside the wheel. No problem. Fast forward a few weeks I got the rotors on all 4 wheels replaced and brand new ceramic pads totaling 800$ in repairs recommended by Robert chevrolet. Everything greased up and calipers cleaned and greased. Mechanics who did this work said that everything was in order and it was unlikely that the noise was from "brake slap". Took it out of the shop and same noise still there after stopping and starting. This time I am bringing my Tahoe to Chevrolet of Huntington. I have been a car enthusiast for most of my adult life. I have thousands of hours working on my own cars. I am ok with being called an amateur by some clerk at the counter but it pissed me off to know that these guys did not diagnose the problem correctly when an amateur like me did without lifting it up. Long story short my advice is to take your car to these people if you want a few loose screws and some brakes slapped on. If you want the job done right take the car to someone trustworthy. read more

As of today, they have had my car 6 days, no one contacts you. I have to constantly call to get an update on my car and when if it can be picked up. Of course yesterday afternoon, after 5 days of not hearing from anyone, I called and was told someone would be in touch with me this morning, It's now 3:30 and once again I had to contact them. The rental they gave me is up today - when I asked if I should extend (me or them) I got a lot of attitude and no help. This place is very unprofessional and I honestly believe the times I have brought my car here in the past with a check engine light, they just cleared the code and gave me back my car because each time a week later the engine light was back on. It's unfortunate because I like my car and had intentions of trading it for another Chevrolet, but that won't happen if this is how they handle business. read more

I own two Chevrolet, I bought one of them from Robert Chevrolet. After I bought my Car from them I realized that they have the worst service possible in NY, so I bought my second 2015 Chevy Suburban from PAUL CONTE CHEVY (they are great). But because this dealership is very close to my home and business so I decided to take my Suburban to them to chech park assist system. My service consultant's name was DON BEILINSON. It was around 8am when I spoke with him and I explained him the issue that my park assist system is not working. He asked me if that was because of an accident. I said no. So, he told me the diagnose fees is $130.00, I said fine. He repeatedly kept on asking if I was sure that I am gonna pay may be because of my brown skin as I was wearing a true religion jeans, harley leather jacket and wolverine 1000 miles shoes. So, it can not be because of my attire. Then he asks me to leave the car, I said ok please give me a courtesy car to take him. He answers,'' NO WAY IN THE HECK." I still disregarded him as I expected all this from these guys and told him I will wait and went to the waiting area. I sat there for about 3 hrs and then I had to use the bathroom. I asked him about the bathroom, Mr. DON BEILINSON lead me to the bathroom to make me read the sign that bathrooms are out of order. NOT only that he read it out loud for me. At this point I am little embarrassed and went back to my seat. After one hr I called my friend to pick me up. When he arrived I went back to Mr. Beilinson and asked him how long the repairs gonna take. He went inside to check and came back very angry. Started yelling at me," I ASKED YOU TWO TIMES IF YOUR CAR WAS HIT, I ASKED YOU TWO TIMES NICELY AND YOU LIED. I explained him park assist system is not working since last month and because of it last week when I was parking i touched another car and I had a little paint mark on my right front bumper. I asked him to please not call me a LIAR. He started yelling even more and started to ask everyone in the room if they heard him calling me a LIAR. I said you told me I lied twice, what does that mean? His answer was OK GET OUT OF HERE. I said sure give me my car back I dont want it fixed. HE CALLED ME ASSHOLE and told me HE WILL MAKE ME PAY 130 for diagnose. I said sure just give me a receipt. I waited for the car and when he handed me the car key he did not ask me for any money. Worst dealership and service department I have ever been to all they do is play games. Dropped off my camaro I had to have it towed due to it blowing smoke out the exhaust white smoke to be exact. 930am and they told me it would be checked out that day but they didn't even have the decency to tell me the truth. When I asked for a loaner I was declined till my car was checked I wouldn't be able to get a loan? Are you kidding me? I get my car towed and you don't even give me another car to go to work? I lost two days worth of work and these assholes are so rude and inconsiderate no wonder people talk bad about this place. I have many friends who do business there after telling them what had happen to me they steer clear of that dealership and service department and go to much better places like Paul conte Chevrolet in Freeport NY. Spent over 55k for a car to get only get treated like dirt. Do not ever go there these fools must have gotten their job from a clown cause they sure as hell don't know how to treat customers the right away. I am so disgusted with the way they handle customers. No care nothing then they try to sweet talk like you don't know what you are talking about when in reality these old geezers need to retire go back to school and learn the proper way to talk and help a customer. read more
