I am writing this review because I am very disappointed with the salesperson I had, Thomas M. I've been shopping for an F-150 speaking with a handful of dealerships, it what we all do. Hempstead Ford was one of the few dealerships on Long Island that had the exact car I wanted, so I reached out. Everything was great and cordial until we got to the details. The deal itself was take or leave it which is thought was odd and cold, especially since car salesman do not like when people leave the showroom. I was lied to about my trade-in, which really bothers me because I heard his managers talking about the trade-in as I was sitting in Thomas's Office. It added insult to injury. After leaving Hempstead Ford I went to another dealership, who had a similar car. The deal was much better than what Thomas had offered me. One caveat, that car was reserved, but the person who reserved is dragging their feet. So rather than waiting to see how this pans out, I went back to Thomas with numbers and got a "Sorry, going to pass". I was very surprised to not have received a counteroffer from Thomas, even if it didn't match what was offered from the other dealership. I don't know if the deal was ever presented to management at the dealership either. I am not sure if its Thomas or his manager, but I won't be going to Hempstead Ford again, and I wont recommend them to anyone who mentions them either. read more

So, I dropped off my 2021 Bronco Sport for Car Butler service and an oil change Monday evening for service on Tuesday. Tuesday came and I got a call at 1:49 pm that they had just put it on the rack for the oil change and may not be able to get the Butler service done today because it takes 2 hours. Because they don't give loaners for Butler service plus there is a waiting list for one I had to rent a car. I explained this to Jackie and she said she would talk to the Butler guy. Three o'clock came and I call Jackie to find out "Butler guy" promised to have it done by five o'clock. I got to the dealership early and true to their promise I saw my Bronco in the Butler machine. WOW! Finally a dealership on Long Island worth going to! I have been all over the island looking for a car this past year, and have been to 3 or 4 different Ford dealers all with a pretty poor experience. I was expecting the same as I came in here but was pleasantly surprised!!!!! I met with Joel who works in the used car department in regards to a 2015 Ford Fusion Energi. I called beforehand and they confirmed that they had the car and that it didn't have a deposit on it - something that seems so trivial but after visiting a few other dealers and them saying this and then showing up to the car already being sold this was a good start. The car was beautiful - everything I wanted and it was in excellent shape. Joel let my husband and I look without commentary and allowed us the time we needed to really take a good look at the car. The price was fair and we really liked it so we put a down payment on it. In the next day or so, I noticed that the car had dropped around $500 in price on the website, from my previous experience, I was expecting this to cause some sort of issue. Thankfully, it didn't! They honored the price and changed everything on my paperwork, when I said I was coming on my lunch break to fill everything out, all the paperwork was ready to go! I sat for an hour at another dealership with the back and forth "let me check with my manager" about every last detail. Not here. He was knowledgeable, sincere, compassionate and understanding of my terms, he was apologetic for the way the business has to be run in the middle of a pandemic and fear of riots at the moment... I can go on and on. Even during the few minutes while Frank brought around the car, the owner (or manager? Not sure) made sure we were being helped to our satisfaction and made regular conversation asking how we are doing during everything, we weren't just business to him. I realize I'm writing a novel but I typically am frustrated and can't wait to leave a dealership but I was actually emotional from feeling so relieved and at ease after feeling anxious going into a dealership expecting the usual rigamorale. I attempted to take the car to two NYC Ford dealers and both refused to service the car. Date - 6/16/17 Invoice Date - 6/23/17 and then took in back on 6/23 and got it on 7/13 Invoice No. - LICS943611 Invoice Amount - $358.41(Including $100 deductible for Premium Care) Got the truck back from Hempstead Ford service, I took the car in for 3 issues Issue 1: The front end makes a lot of noise when going over potholes, drifts to one side when going over some small bumps on the highway over 60 m/hr. - Those service guys could not even diagnose it and they changed some bushings, links and messed up my wheel alignment which I did with another Ford Dealer about 2 weeks before giving it to Hempstead Ford. They refuse to fix it or even look at it saying it's fixed and that Robert Spalletta asked me to get out of the service center as they don't work on my truck anymore. They refused to fix my wheel alignment or take a drive with me so that I can show it's not fixed. Issue 2: Squeak from the rear when taking off from a stop at low speeds.- Hempstead Ford made me change rotors and brake pads saying that its coming from the brake pads/rotors. It was from the rear suspension springs and they finally fixed it with a lot of trail and error. Issue 3: Annoying noise coming from the brake pedal like that of spring getting pulled under tension & released. This has nothing to do with brake pads or rotors. As it is the sound from the pedal - Hempstead Ford made me change rotors and brake pads. Issue 1 & 3 is not fixed. They made me change rotors and brake pads unnecessarily. I have an inspection receipt from another Ford dealer 2 weeks prior to taking the car to Hempstead dealer that they are no issues with my rotors or brakes. read more

First time they had very little knowledge of the parts involved in a repair to the extend of calling me back 2 weeks after the work was done to tell me the part they said was not available, WAS. When I walked into Hempstead Lincoln, I was assigned to Even Boucaud as my salesman. He was very patient with me as I ask a million questions and wanted to drive the MKC and MKZ and wanted to try all the engine choices. At the end of the process I probably spent 2-3 hours at Hempstead Lincoln just doing test drives. Evan was happy to spend the time with me. When it came down to price, they were very competitive and worked with me through some of my issues. Once I finally signed, we submitted the credit to the bank and initially, they did not want to approve me. My credit is good but very new. Bob, the finance manager really went above and beyond to get the bank to accept me. Since the check engine light went off when I drove it to you Oliver and I decided I did not have to leave it as there was no code to read. He suggested that it might be a bad tank of gasoline that caused it. I should fill it up and see what happens. I was told that if the light did come back on to call Oliver and I will be seen the next day. It was then that I decided to not leave the car. I have not had many problems with the vehicle what upsets me is the service department. Four times to fix a key fob leaving it all day fir and oil change and the car not touched a tire pressure monitor that when bad the day after I purchased a new tire from you and now this where I was originally given an appointment for four days after i called. I'm not going to mention the sales department where I was never told about my first free oil change or the free inspection. My family owns three othe Ford vehicles all purchased from you. We are all disappointed with your service department . Yeah check engine light fixed. Boo repair lasted one week same problem car sputters hard to get car to go past 40mph. The only good Ford dealership left in western Nassau County. Bought a car here and the salesman was a true class act, although his manager upon closing the sale did do his best to try to upsell me on every possible plan and option I could or would never need. The service area has also recently been completely re-designed and is now truly top-notch. Pull into the service bay, and the first thing a technician will do is line your vehicle up to check tire alignment before getting you started. So far I've only had to do oil and filter changes here which have been covered under warranty, but they've recommended additional items which were well thought-out and nothing unnecessary was pushed. While I do miss Able Ford, these guys have picked up the ball and are doing a great job in the area. read more
