Advantage came highly recommended from another clinic who was full and, while I'm sure that clinic is also great, I couldn't be more thankful that I landed in the hands of Rachel Stoner, my primary therapist, and the rest of the staff at Advantage. On the first day I met Rachel, she assured me, without hesitation or exception, that I will do the things I enjoy again. That unwavering confidence was exactly what I needed in that moment and I knew was in good hands. Rachel has been extremely patient and flexible with me and my personal struggles. Her kindness and levity have been welcome beacons of hope in my admittedly long rehab process. When I've had setbacks and "fallen off the wagon" with my exercises, she's approached getting me back on track free of judgment and guilt, instead offering solutions and encouragement to incorporate exercises into my daily routine, with a focus on the most important parts for me to get back to being active. All the heart and lung scans, and blood tests requested by conventional doctors were negative and I was asked to just live with the breathing issues which were told to be common after Covid and take over counter pain killers for my back pain. I have been able to leave & receive messages from my Primary Care Provider (PCP). I have also been able to get a travel prescription based on my recent health visit, without having to do a new appointment! Occasionally I have used other providers here, and it has all been good. I feel that during my annual wellness visit we get in as much as possible. The annual reminders from my PCP about good health practices have been very useful. Example: Years ago she told me that the studies suggesting that a glass of wine a day was good for you were all sponsored by the industry and not reliable. This year the New York Times confirmed that those studies were flawed. The space is big, open, carefully designed, and pleasantly decorated, in case that matters for you. LabCorp has a location here, but you can get your blood drawn at any of their facilities. If you come early in the morning to do a fasting blood draw there can be a bit of a wait because so many people have not eaten since overnight and need a fasting blood draw.
