Dr. Scoppa is amazing. He really believes in what he's doing, he's convinced me of what he's doing, and he provides a refreshing and thoughtful alternative to big box store medical approaches, and I can tell his number one priority is helping people with their health. And these are the best things I could imagine to have to say about a medical provider. I went in with a recent diagnosis for Meniere's disease; Dr. Scoppa was upfront that he could not promise results because my issues are not a normal thing for his practice, but he wanted to try what he had to offer. Unfortunately his treatment did not improve my hearing issues, but he was motivated to try everything in his capacity to help me. He provided clear explanations for what he was trying and talked me through his approach. Ultimately the source of my hearing issues seem beyond the scope of Dr. Scoppa's practice, but this is by no means the fault of his practice; we were able to rule out potential causes for my hearing issues due to his treatment, and he advised me on several other treatment approaches that he himself does not offer. Additionally, through a thorough assessment of my skeletal alignment, he provided insight into issues in my body that were not relevant to the issues for which I was seeking treatment; he went above and beyond to assess my whole body to the extent of his expertise. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Scoppa and his approach to healing. His open-minded yet realistic attitude and clear primary motivation of helping people is truly extraordinary in a time when it seems most doctors don't have the interest to take the time to wholly appreciate the context of their patients' issues and/or explain the rationale behind their treatments. Dr. Scoppa clearly thinks hard and researches treatments tailored to the individual patient. I would absolutely recommend seeing Dr. Scoppa for what ails you. I started seeing Dr. Scoppa a few years ago for headaches, neck pain, and upper back pain related to my desk job and stress. Unlike other chiropractors in Seattle that I have been to, he did a really thorough job and I never felt pressured to return 3 times a week indefinitely. I also don't like traditional chiropractic adjustments as they typically hurt and make me worse, and I haven't found upper cervical chiropractic to be effective, but Dr. Scoppa uses a method I've never heard of or experienced before. He gets results and he is very positive and personable. He helped me with my headaches, neck and back pain rarely quickly, which is amazing in and of itself. I still return whenever I have a problem arrises or don't feel quite right and am usually feeling much better within a few visits. Also, I had been seeing a Naturopath for years, for fatigue and hormonal issues. I was still having these problems when I saw Dr. Scoppa, and although I liked my ND she just wasn't getting to the root of my problems and we weren't making progress. She always had me on at least ten supplements, and lab testing was very expensive. Through his testing (which was free with my visit!) he was able to quickly tell me what needed to be changed and how to change it. He actually ended up taking me OFF of almost all the supplements the ND had put me on, recommended specific dietary changes, and tested for things no other doctor has ever tested for. Dr. Scoppa is a wonderful doctor and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I recently moved to Seattle and I did not know if I could find a good practitioner to help me. I have very complicated medical issues and have seen many different kinds of chiropractors and osteopathic physicians over the years. I am a very challenging patient and yet Dr. Scoppa has been able to offer me relief. He even came up with a very innovative idea to use medical kinesiology tape in order to help stabilize an unstable joint that needs surgery. My only regret is that I have waited this long to review Dr. Scoppa. I no longer live in the Seattle area, but return to visit at least once a year. Last year, for the first time, I visited Dr. Scoppa in the hopes of relieving some of the significant pain and immobility that I had had in my neck for the past several years. Dr. Scoppa's reviews all speak for themselves, but for me the bottom line was the relief from pain and how long that relief lasted. As I mentioned, I had been experiencing chronic neck pain and limited mobility for several years before visiting Dr. Scoppa. I had tried Rolfing, massage, and Aleve for managing the pain, but nothing stuck. I had heard many good things about Dr. Scoppa, so I decided to give him a try and he was able to schedule me during my annual visit to Seattle last year. After my hour or so with Dr. Scoppa, I had almost no neck pain and fully restored mobility that is still lasting today, almost a year after my appointment. I met Jason a year and a half ago while he was working with Dr. Bruce Davis and learning to practice craniopathy, which emphasizes chiropractic treatment by manipulating the cranium. I was very impressed with Jason's intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn more about an advanced treatment process. Although he has been a practicing chiropractor for several years he is still eager to learn more. Jason listened carefully to my story about my shoulder which is been a concern of mine for a long time. I have seen Dr Scoppa for the past few months. I came into his office with neck and shoulder pain. What makes Dr Scoppa unique and stands out from the other chiropractors is that apart from the regular adjustments you would get from a chiropractor, Dr Scoppa utilized a technique called sacro-occipital technique in which he finds out the underlying causes of my neck and shoulder pain and addresses them accordingly. My neck pain was gone just in a few visits. Dr Scoppa also spent a lot of time giving me nutritional and exercise recommendations. Dr. Scoppa has been helping me for the last two years, and I feel GREAT every time after the treatment. I've had low back/hip pain for many years and his adjustments make me feel relieved. He first uses the tiny blocks on my hip, then palpate again on my back to see how much the blocks have helped, and decides whether further adjustments are needed. My core muscles are weak and my spine is hypermobile, so sometimes over adjustments can hurt me more. I've been to other chiropractors before and that had been the case. Dr. Scoppa's techniques are very gentle, which I really appreciate. Most importantly, Dr. Scoppa takes his time to identify the causes of my pain areas and he always listens to me. I've been Coming to this Jason Scoppa guy for years and he has yet to let me down! Not your typical chiropractor, he doesn't focus on the cracking and temporary relief of pain, I would use the term chraniopath . Best chiropractor in Seattle, hands down. He did a lot of cranial work (he said it's different than craniosacral, but I've never had it so I don't know), and also did some chiropractic (but no popping), and muscle work. I went in with tmj and headaches, but he checked me from head to toe and just fixed whatever he found, which was cool. My tmj improved alot and my headaches went away in a few visits, totally worth it. Cons: Parking was somewhat difficult, and it was a little hard to find the first time. read more
