RH was good to work for at first but then I asked for the money that I was told I'd receive. They then refused to release it to me until I finally got a resolution. RH then told me no hard feelings, since I'm only following through on what I was promised. After that, RH stopped helping me find work and has denied me for positions that I'm well qualified for. I'm unsure who is running this company, but I wouldn't say it's a smart move on their part. Actalent's however has been great, maybe work with them instead. read more

I am sad to share an experience. This company has been unbelievably difficult and dishonest to work with. They place temp candidates on full time hire jobs, charge excessive fees as far as I'm concerned. They don't have any skin in the game for your business at all. These guys coached a candidate they placed to stay for 90 days to stay and had them interview with other firms while working for our company! They could not care less you or business. The employers are paying you not the candidates. From a business owner to others out there STAY AWAY FROM THESE LIARS. I was unable to even get a single interview after 2 months of working with this company, while I felt my experience and qualities were more than adequate. Friendly, professional, and efficient. They get things done at Robert Half! What I really loved most about this agency is that they communicate with their other branches as well as co-workers. I initially interviewed with RH Legal (over Skype, which was very convenient) and then was approached with opportunities by multiple people including some from OfficeTeam. I heard from RH much more often than any other recruiting agency I worked with. They worked really hard to try to place me and I appreciate that. I turned down a few positions because of planned travel. In the end, Victoria Firestone had a great position for me at a really cool company. That's where I am now. Victoria has been great to work with - she's easy to reach and has followed up regularly. Their timesheet entry website is easy to use. I used this company in New Jersey for temp work 4 years ago and had a perfectly fine experience. Since I've been in San Diego I've been in communication with this company for about 2 1/2 months now and I haven't been given one assignment. I am a veteran, have a degree in management science, and a pretty good resume. I find it hard to believe it takes this long to find an assignment for someone with my credentials who has expressed their need for work. I have left various emails and voicemails for my point of contact at the company Ms. Firestone who occasionally returns correspondence when she gets around to it. I'm currently in communication with someone from headquarters regarding this. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with this company -possibly someone of my demographic. I don't know why people have had such bad luck with OfficeTeam. My experience with working with them has been nothing but positive. As soon as I uploaded my resume, someone immediately contacted me for an interview and placement. I was ultimately placed in a temp for hire position at a company thanks to the Downtown branch. Thanks to them, I worked at a wonderful office for four years. I credit my being able to find work through this temp agency. I've tried to work with other companies such as Kelly Services, Appleone, and TLC Staffing and none of them gave me the time of day. And this was after sending in my resume, emailing them directly, applying for jobs through their website, and trying to call their offices. Never heard back from a recruiter either by phone, FaceTime or Skype (which the receptionist informed me that they do now). I've temped quite a bit. I've worked for several agencies. They all have their quirks especially because as a temp you have two bosses but neither one of them even pretends to care about your well-being. This company was a disaster from the start. I temped for them almost two years ago. Their onboarding was murky. It was all online. I got several different emails asking for different things and they sent them every day until you completed the paperwork. It just created confusion. A follow up call would have sufficed. Only after all the paperwork was done did they tell me that I could have come to the office to fill out paperwork. Which would have been perfectly fine. I negotiated my pay which should be a contract between me and them only. Turns out they charged the company I temped for more and put it on me. The company told me later that Robert Half told them I had accused them of misrepresenting the job. It's the temp agency's fault if they didn't gauge an appropriate fee. Instead of eating the difference and keeping a client. They gouged the client company and lost a client for ever. I will never temp for RH every again. Luckily I don't need to. read more

I moved to San Diego in June of 2014 without a job and figured it wouldn't be hard to find one with my background...needless to say it was. After a few months of no bites on my resume, I sent my resume to 12 temp agencies looking for work. Office team downtown was the only place to find me work. My primary contacts were Sabrina and Victoria. Both are hard workers and their communication skills are top notch. An example is they had a position open and Sabrina called me, at the time I was away from my phone so she left a message. Then Victoria called and left me a message and Sabrina sent a text as well. They really want to find you a position. When one of my temp assignments ran out they already had another one set up the following week for me. My advice for anyone looking for work and contacting office team is to be patient. If you visit them on a Monday, you won't have a position that afternoon. It will take time as they want to find the best fit for you. I have nothing but praise for Office Team, Sabrina and Victoria. If you're in need of work, calling them is the smartest decision you can make. read more

I signed up for officeteam in February. I did check in mostly by email just about every week. I told them i needed something asap. I got rude emails and calls saying i wasn't checking in. But i was. I even called and emailed them my new number the day i got it. I mentioned i didn't have a computer. And was told i needed to fix my resume but nothing else. I repeated that i had no computer and they acted like they didn't know. I got nothing job wise until the beginning of April. They made it seem like it was a definite hire position. Something that would include a higher rate of pay after I'd be hired on. So I accepted it. But then when i got there I quickly learned that this hire position would take years to get hired on. So i called and asked about a pay rate increase. They kinda got rude and said basically it's what I agreed to and if i didn't like it they'd refill it with someone else. So i did it. But continued to look elsewhere for a job. Overall, very unhappy with the level of customer service and honesty. I was trying to get a job, i didn't expect the rudeness over and over again. I've worked with other locations of the Robert Half company. This one does not do it justice. Only reason they get two stars is because i put in notice on a Wednesday and by Friday they had a replacement and i didn't have to speak to them again. I've worked with DT OfficeTeam for a couple of years now and they have always offered great job opportunities for me. They do a really great job with responding and situating you well by your level of experience and interest. Prior to working at my current job I had an unfortunate experience working for the City of San Diego (not through OfficeTeam) and contacted OfficeTeam immediately for a new job placement. They were able to place me within 1-2 weeks after resigning from the City job. OfficeTeam was and is very supportive and clearly shows once you meet with them in person or by phone. I have heard from 4 different recruiters that work at RH in pass year. The first 2 ended up going dark after I submitted a resume for a Sr Dir position. The next 2 on a different FT opportunity over stated salary passed all my personal info directly to the employer without telling me...where that employer proceeded to contact me unexpectedly while on vacation directly to negotiate salary and became angry when they couldnt low ball based on what Rh incorrectly told them i'd take. Very unprofessional and pulled a lot of bait and a switch and were crappy to work with. I am 62, I don't look it and they looked down at me. Whatever happened to treating people with respect? At some point in your life; if you live long enough you will go thru the aging process. When I moved here, I immediately set up an interview with Officeteam, as we have them back east and I had a good impression of them. My overall experience here in San Diego was middle of the road. Nothing was wrong with it but nothing was great about it either. I was left waiting a long time to get interviewed, which was kind of annoying, but the receptionist stayed on top of the guy and kept me posted, which was impressive and appreciated. I was left waiting again after I tested for a while, which really annoyed me because I was so tired from all the tests, but again the receptionist was very on top of the situation. I was there for almost 2 hours, between interviewing and testing. I was pretty exhausted by the end of it but wanted to get it all done at once. The man who interviewed me was friendly, apologetic about both waits and honest - he was straightforward about expected pay and positions and I really appreciated that. He seemed a little long-winded at times, but overall it was a pleasant interview. I felt we got along well and he read me well, which is most important. He seemed helpful and available. I was offered to interview to be a receptionist at Robert Half (Officeteam's parent company) but was waiting to hear back on a much better job so passed it up. They then called a week later to offer me a job but I had accepted said position already so I never found out what the offer was, despite some phone tag between me and the recruiter to do just that. So, I guess two offers in a week is good, but at least one of the positions was way under my skill level and I'm sure the pay was nominal. In this economy I was hardly surprised and couldn't hold it against them. I was aiming for an administrative level II or III position. I ended up in an entry-level admin job but the pay is decent and its a permanent position so I get benefits soon. And there's some room for growth, so hopefully I can move up to something more challenging. I competed against 20+ other people for the job, which tells you how dire the economy really is right now. So, again, overall not blown away but certainly not turned off and couldn't say anything negative. If I could give them a 3.5 I would. If I found myself looking for work again (knock on wood that I'm not!) I would definitely reactivate my account with them. read more

Five Stars for being the best temp agency in town. Both Kelly and Liz at the Downtown Office Team rocked. I have been to several other temp agencies in San Diego, including most of the big ones....and I have to say that between the downtown office and the La Jolla office, this group BY FAR worked the hardest for me. After a 6 month break, I went and re-registered with them, and they still had all of my tests on file. While the testing process may be a bit long, it does help them place you accurately. It was just a short interview to get familiar with my goals, and then they were off! I got a phone call the same day from Kelly, and several more over the next week or so. I also started getting emails right away from other offices. You can use their website to find jobs, and you get a quick response when you apply. One of the things that I liked most was that they were pretty honest with me about what I did and did not qualify for. They seem to know the employers really well, and can tell if you would be a good fit or not. Really.....the job market is tough right now. I'm well qualified, and it has still been tough. Register with these professional recruiters, and they will do much of the hard work for you! It took them about 2 weeks, and they found me a great position that may be full time one day. read more

I signed this branch of OfficeTeam a year ago and they only found me two jobs in the interim, despite my two master's degrees, one from the University of Chicago. The first job, about midway through, was a one or two week gig as a receptionist at a car dealer (which I had to turn down due to other obligations). The second was a temp-to-hire low-grade administrative job at a university replacing someone with only a high school diploma. The person's cubicle in which I worked was so dirty that it gave me allergy attacks that led to a severe migraine around lunchtime on the third day, from which I could barely move when I went home at lunch to recover. I sent my supervisor an e-mail explaining, but I was so incoherent with pain that I could communicate no further. OfficeTeam called me to say I was let go about an hour later. I went to the ER that night and was in the hospital for two days. I still have yet to get the items I left at the office back, which they said they could get for me. Neither they nor my employers showed any concern for my health, and I never received any breaks other than lunch while employed. My employers lied and said I was taking an hour and a half lunch breaks the first two days, and OfficeTeam believed them and docked my salary. Finally, they demanded that I give them a five star review on Yelp as soon as I had successfully interviewed for the second job. I am very disappointed because I had a quite successful experience with the OfficeTeam in Allentown, PA, and with LaSalle temporary services in Chicago. read more

I agree with most other reviewers. They wasted my my time. I initially spoke with a representative at another location as a reference for my coworker. The representative said they would like to represent me and i was open to it because my coworker was placed rather quickly. However i always had to follow up with that representative when the assigned representatives were not getting back to me and then they would follow up. My last experience was I emailed two representative 2 weeks ago and they did not even have to common decency to get back to me. I do not feel like I should have to email you and you counter part and then follow up with calls as well. I thought it was a team effort to get people placed, but I guess i was wrong. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I spoke to Brittnie the very first time I contacted Office team and then set up an interview with Jody. They sent me the assessment tests which I completed right away. Jody said there was a position I would be a good fit for. After many emails and attempts to contact either of them over the phone to follow up, their receptionist always said they were unavailable. I contacted their corporate office to complain and received an email back stating that someone would contact me. No one ever contacted me. The last Time I heard from Brittnie she said she wanted to clear up any miscommunication and was very clear that I no longer should follow up and they would contact me if anything came up. They continuously said they have been filling positions that I did not qualify for. Horrible experience. Don't wait on them to help you find employment.
