First-timer and I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Carlisi and his staff. Everyone was very professional and Dr. Carlisi was very thorough with my initial evaluation! Finding a good dentist is always so hard, but I'm hopeful that Dr. Carlisi will be the one for me. I'm going to miss my previous dentist of over 30 years, but the seven hour drive was becoming a bit much. I'm on vacation here in AZ to visit my brother for his 50th Bday. I have a filling that has started to come out and is, consequently, ripping up my tounge. I called Dr Bower to see if he could fix it (my brother and his wife see him regularly) and he is on vacation this week as well. My brother texted the doc on his personal number and asked for a referral so that I could get my tooth fixed. The doc was very prompt in replying to my brother and I was able to get in to Dr Carlisi in Prescott within an hour of calling. Thank you SO MUCH for the referral!!! Dr Carlisi and his staff were SO VERY friendly and I really appreciate the time and care they took in addressing my problem with my filling coming out. This guy would not treat my broken tooth until he took my blood pressure, measured my neck size, tried for a full head X-ray, get a 45 min sales pitch from office girl. This man wants only your money. I suggested he get a paper route to increase his income, and take his hand out of my 'pockets' After I said 'enough' just fix my tooth.....I was told to go elsewhere for my treatment. My husband went to see Dr. Carlisi with his original denture plate that he had had for 15 years. The estimate was for all dental issues to be addressed with crowns, a filling, and to have new teeth for his upper denture. After a few months, the whole front section of the teeth broke out. Upon calling Dr. Carlisi about it, Carlisi had the dentures sent back in. Within one month, the front teeth popped off again. Something was not done correctly with my husband's bite, not being lined up right. With one of the crowns that Carlisi had done, he informs my husband of a cavity that should have been done prior to. Now my husband is constantly gluing, re-gluing teeth, filing glue down, and making adjustments 2-3x/week. Dr, Carlisi stated to me today, that it is because my husband is "rough" with his teeth, and that with other existing dental work needing done, that this is why it is happening. I said: No, I disagree as the dentures he had prior coming to your office, he had for 15 years. I went on to share that he takes them out when he eats, and while he is here at home. Dr. Carlisi dismissed himself, and disappeared into another room. Either Dr. Carlisi made a grave mistake with the impressions for the dentures, or he is working with a sub-standard lab. In any case, he needs to make it right. Now we are going to have to save the money, and see if we can get it done right in Mexico. read more

Best Dentist I have been to in many years. Makes you fell like a human being and not a piece of cattle being shuffled for money and procedures. Works the issues and follows up with a personal call to ensure you are OK. Very clear and easy to talk with. We pay the extra money for out of Network due to the professionalism and kind nature. I don't trust this dentist at all. My husband and I went to see him when we first moved to town. My husband had a dental emergency and he was the first dentist that we found who would see him without him being an established patient. This lead us to trust him when we probably should not have. After helping my husband with the emergency, we started seeing him as our regular dentist. We did not have dental insurance and paid out of pocket. My husband ended up "needing" almost $20,000 worth of dental work that we will be paying off for years at a very high interest rate. My husband had bad teeth and we trusted that this dentist, who comes across as nice and highly religious, was ethical and that my husband needed this work done. I started to get suspicious when I was told that I needed extensive dental work. I have had a total of 3 cavities in my life. I was told that one of my teeth was so damaged that I needed to have a cap and that it would cost thousands of dollars. I was also told that I had gum disease and needed scaling. I had half of my mouth scaled, but could not afford the second half. I did not get the cap. At this time I got promoted at work and got dental insurance. I went to a different dentist who took my insurance. There I was told that I had very healthy gums and did not need the scaling. I was also told that the tooth that Carlisi said needed thousands of dollars worth of work was just a cavity and only needed a filling. My insurance paid for the filling, but the bill to my insurance was about $150. Dr. Carlisi presents himself as a caring, local doctor who is looking out for your best interest. Instead, he takes you for everything you have. I only feel stupid for trusting him and not getting a second opinion. I know other people who received poor work from him and who were charged twice as much as they were quoted. However, that is their story to tell and not mine. read more

I really wasn't happy with my experience here. Dr. Carlisi talked very condescending to me the entire visit, but said everything with a chuckle so that it would seem less rude. He just made me feel completely stupid with all my concerns I had. I'm not interested in getting mocked by a dentist so I didn't come back. Maybe he's a good dentist but his attitude wasn't good so I'll never know. I expect to be treated with kindness by someone doing a service for me. read more

I have been so impressed with Dr Carlisi and all of his staff! He went over my history himself (unheard of!), has taken the time to help me figure out what is going on, and even sent me a few book suggestions based on things we had spoken about. All medicine should be practiced this way! read more

Dr Carlisi is a big personality but I absolutely love him and his staff. They really care about their patients, more than just the dental and financial piece. They have reached out to me time and time again. I highly recommend his practice. My grandpa was chief of dentistry at The Ohio State University and has always done my dental work or his colleagues. Needless to say I was weary of finding a new dentist here in Prescott. He has been so wonderful. Every time I've been there they were quick to get me in and out but never made it feel impersonal. Hi, my name is Bob Nelson and I live here in Prescott.I had dentures for many years and decided to have the procedure for implanting posts so that I could move up to the kind of teeth that snap on and off with more stability and comfort. This was done in May of 2013 and after the appropriate time for healing had taken place I went to Dr Carlisi's office where he and his team made me a new set of dentures.The results were astonishing.I am so pleased with my new teeth.they are a perfect fit and I can now eat things like apples,celery and nuts whereas before it was very uncomfortable.Dr Carlisi is a really good craftsman and a true artist when it comes to anything about dental work and repair.
