If I could give this practice zero stars I would…read more I was inactivated as a patient after 10+ years for being late to an appointment and then rescheduling an appointment I am caring for TWO dying parents at home and the rescheduled appointment was due to my father having another stroke. Dr. Banu Myeni did not care. I called him begging him to reconsider. He denied my pleas, and at a time when I needed him the most. He has NO sympathy, NO empathy, and wouldn't even help me by refilling my prescriptions until i got settled with a new PCP. I dont even know how he sleeps at night. This is NOT how a doctor should be.

Came back the next day after fasting (I AM HUNGRY & GROUCHY) their system was down!!! So basically I wasted two days of work and fasting for NOTHING AT ALL... Wow... a professional doctor would have made sure the patient was notified of everything. I will be going elsewhere.

They handle infectious diseases dedicated to the prevention and treatment of infectious disease specializing in treatments of HIV and AIDS. They also have sentara EVMS comprehensive sickle cell program which delivers multidisciplinary care our friend Taylor treatment plans that address the diverse and interconnected challenges face by sickle cell patients. I have only brought a couple people over here for different services and I had services done for cancer treatment. I was truly satisfied with my service. The building is beautiful the parking is terrible, sometimes you have to pay sometimes you don't sometimes you can get close parking sometimes you can't. This is a busy facility plus you have a children's hospital here you have a heart hospital and I think a sex change hospital here. PETA is JUST ABOUT across the street. It's near Ghent. Lots of great restaurants nearby.

It took over a week for them to send a referral (after I'd called FOUR times). Now the dr they've referred me to needs two weeks to "review" my file before they can even schedule me. I'll be out of meds by then, but that seems to be of no concern to anyone but me. The doctors care about their patients. No one else there does. I'm currently looking for a new doctor, not because I dislike the doctor I have, but because of how poorly every other aspect of the practice is handled. I would NEVER recommend EVMS to anyone. Ever.
