When he went back to the clinic to exchange the unit...a rude provider said to him "What the hell happened !"" Very loud in front of other patients. The provider told him to get out!!! It takes months and months to get an appointment and you cannot schedule with another doctor in the practice if you are in a jam. I went in on June 19 and today, July 5, I'm still chasing down numerous prescription REFILLS. In fact, none are at the pharmacy and someone that just looked at my chart, only sees 1. I was told to arrive 20 minutes early and then waited almost 55 minutes for the doctor. No problem. Honestly. Here's the problem. When I didn't have my prescriptions 10 days later, I was told by her nurse, "I don't need to know what you and Dr. Brawley talked about; I need to know what you need." That is a quote. When I told her she was being rude, she told me, she wasn't rude. She was busy because she had a patient to see. This did not sit well with me in light of the time I patiently waited. It's Friday, at almost 2 and I'm sure I'll go another weekend without my prescriptions. Do yourself a favor and skip this practice. It's a shame because Miss Amy that draws blood drives from NC and she's amazing! After searching and searching I found this practice and Dr. Peter Laplace through word of mouth. I am ever so glad that I did. Staff here is so friendly and helpful. I am never confused about any of the policies or billing. Appointments are easy to schedule and they even have an online patient portal for you to view your records and care plans. Having struggled for several years with a few chronic issues I am finally at a place in my physical and mental health where I'm not just getting by but am happy and on a road to healthy. At that point, we were already at the facility. Issues: Late Cancellation : The cancellation was communicated by phone message rather than advance notification, providing no time to adjust plans. Inconsistent Cancellation Policy : Patients are charged a penalty fee for same day appointment cancellations. The clinic cancelled with no compensation, alternative offered. Our re schedule is 2 months from date was cancelled. Unprofessional Response : We received NO APPOLOGY from the nurse/MA, either in the voicemail or in person. The interaction lacked accountability. Significant Scheduling Impact : As a result of this cancellation, my father's next available appointment was rescheduled two months later, requiring ADDITIONAL time off work. Management should review same-day cancellations to ensure patient respect and courtesy.
