This is going to be short and sweet. Worst bedside manner on the planet. I was having problems with my urinary system-kidney pain so i was referred to this nasty pain. He spent maybe 10 minutes with me, told me there was nothing wrong with my kidneys and I was having back pain because I was depressed. He didn't even do a urine test. After sitting with him for 10 minutes for one time he determined I was depressed. i don't have a history of mental illness, This doctor happens to be a UROLOGIST NOT A PSYCHIATRIST. Makes sense right...see a urologist for a possible kidney problem and I wound up literally stomping, raging mad with a diagnosis of depression, HMMM since when did urologists also have PHDs in clinical psychology or MD's in psychiatry as well? THE WORST PART WAS THAT HE SAW ME FOR 10 MINUTES AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW MY LAST NAME Believe me I am not depressed and NEVER was depressed(not that I look down on anyone who does suffer from mental illness). I returned to Dr. Luntz office last week. To start, the COVID protocols were perfectly executed. His staff was wonderful which is clearly a reflection of the good doctor himself. I saw this doc the other day, and I got disappointed. I had seen great ratings of him online and decided to consult with him, since he performs a procedure called PVP (Photoselective Vaporization of Prostate), which not too many urologists do. My intent was to get some info & advice from him which advantages has this procedure compared with TURP. He explained to me briefly with colored pics how he will do it. Then he wanted to examine me with finger from the rectum. I refused, since that is an old-fashioned exam. He took it as a personal insult and told me with a rude tone three times that "no patient in 30 years has questioned his judgment". I felt so uncomfortable, but I kept calm. Then I asked him if I'd be kept overnight for monitoring. He said that he does the procedure ambulatory and might send me home with an inserted catheter (which is a deal-breaker for me). He prescribed me to take an urodynamic test to "determine my bladder condition". You can't continue to be treated this way. So, I quit dealing with him. Gus read more

I am writing this review for a number of reasons. First and Foremost I can not say enough about Dr. Luntz and his team. I am sure one can imagine the anxiety, apprehension, and in a word "Fear" that comes over you when your Doctor tells you they recommend you undergoing a Prostate Biopsy. There is no shortage for things that immediately run through your mind and of course none of them are encouraging. When my Doctor Robert Luntz gave me the news that I needed this procedure I was that person. Dr. Luntz immediately assured me that no matter what we would deal with whatever the test revealed. Leading up to the Biopsy I could not get enough information about what this would be like. I was on the web all day and night looking for the answer I wanted to hear. I read all about all the horror stories of these Biopsies and how painful, uncomfortable and avoid them if you can. I knew Dr. Luntz was totally on top of this and I put myself in his hands and Gods. Well today was my Biopsy, I was well prepared before by Dr. Luntz's team, two day of the prescribed antibiotics, the self administered enema, and then the morning of pre-Biopsy antibiotic injection. I was ready mentally and physically because of Dr. Luntz and his team. I went into the surgical suite, prepped and Dr. Luntz took me through every part of the Biopsy step by step. I was expecting this bevy of horror show expectations from all of my online research only to be pleasantly "over the moon" pardon the pun surprised about how painless and uneventful the procedure was. Dr. Lunch and his assistant Errol were the most gentle, compassionate, reassuring professionals anyone could ask for. I went home and took it easy. I am feeling better by the minute and I would highly recommend Dr. Luntz and if anyone reading this review is on the fence about taking this procedure, do not worry and see Dr. Luntz, you will not be disappointed. I am not sure what the rating system is on Yelp or if there even is one but I would start at 10+ given 10 being the best. I would not have written this review if I did not want to first help people who are or were as anxious as I was, I am doing this to point out the skills of Dr. Luntz and hope I can get anyone that is on the fence off the fence.
