Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! Two of my kids have unique situations with their eyes, which needed additional explanation and monitoring, which Dr. Scott handled well. When we started seeing them 4 years ago, they didn't bat an eye when we walked out with our prescriptions (which we filled at Costco). Both me and my husband were disappointed with the transitional bifocals we purchased at Costco and asked Dr. Ryan about it the next year. He explained the difference in materials and we both ordered bifocals from the Bennion's M.V. Vision Clinic. The high quality lenses and frames, plus much better blending in the bifocals made a marked improvement. We see the difference every day! I also appreciate the way Dr. Scott's daughter helped me and my kids select frames. It's overwhelming, and important because we're wearing those every day for the next year! She helped us zero in on the best size, and then showed us options in a non-pushy way.

I understand you must've answered the question I had a million times, but please do not cut me off while I am talking. I did not appreciate the way i was responded. I am a loyal customer to Costco and a future patient with the optical dept. Pam needs re-training how to answer calls. I also work in the medical field... so if patients may have questions, specially pertaining to how to save a couple of bucks for lenses, help the member out nicely is the least you can do, Pam! Thank you for answering my question though, and yes you did save me a trip, but in the future, have the decency to be corteous enough over the phone. The gal on Saturday who had was professional and me was super helpful and even went above and beyond to write down a rough estimate on how much i needed to pay out of pocket. Now that is the Costco customer service! But having an employee like Pam just ruins the outlook of the optical team.

It was easy to schedule an appointment via text and I was in and out for an eye exam quickly yet also did not feel rushed. I have been to over a dozen optometrists having had bad eyesight for most of my life and having moved along the west coast multiple times. Dr. Ahn and the Optica Vision Care staff takes the cake for the best optometry for making me feel like a valued patient.

She left my little eye shop and I fear the dr's that are left are not the best. Mid April my 17 year old daughter went to see her on her own (I'd had surgery and couldn't go) Dr Ahmed gave her a script and I took her two weeks later and paid and other $100 for new lenses to be put into her existing frames. We get them back and my daughter said. No everything is still very blurry. So back we go. Again Dr agmed is very rushed. Made us feel like we were a bother because she didn't do her job right the first time. She'd ask my daughter. 1 or 2 and she'd say I can't tell a difference but neither of them is clear. This went on for about 5 minutes when she decided to almost double her script. She assured us it was what my daughter thought was best. (Reread this paragraph) So we have another set of lenses made. We picked them up yesterday and she puts them on and immediately takes them off and says I'm seeing 4 of everything. So 3rd times a charm. She's seeing a new dr next week and I will update after her new glasses arrive. But seriously. This is a headache. I should have shopped around for a new Dr and allowed my insuemace to pay for it.

She almost looked annoyed to do her job?? I was kind of taken aback by her attitude. The optician proceeded to say "you have no bridge at all" in a rude manner almost insulting my looks. The doctor owners, the father and daughter duo, must train their staff better to be more culturally sensitive when working with Southeast Asian patients and not insult our racial features. Is the Optician racist? This was the only takeaway I had walking away from this experience. Not to mention the awkward front desk situation. They have two front desk people, when you are talking to one, the other front desk person just stare at you the whole time. I felt so insulted and racially profiled that I asked my husband to call and cancel my lenses with them. Also, how are lenses $240 after insurance?!!! On glasses USA you can get at least three pairs including lenses for that price.

My son has been coming every week for his contact lens training and they even know him by his 1st name now. The front desk personnel are friendly and accommodating and Dr. Wong is amazing as usual. She's very warm and great with kids! As long as customer service continues to be good like what we've been experiencing the past month, I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs! Located in my favorite plaza in Renton, Oceanclear has a plethora of frames. They have a variety of designer brands as well as high quality eyeglasses brands. I was impressed with the variety of styles and looks. It was quite easy to find a couple pairs that I would like. Dr. Wendy Kuo was amazing! I have hit and miss luck with optometrists lately but after my experience here I foresee me coming back. Dr. Kuo was informative, helpful, and very easy to talk to. She took what my ophthalmologist had told me and related it to the type of glasses that I required. I felt like I had dialogue with her instead of being talked at or rushed, which has been some of my recent experiences with optometrists (or really many in the medical field of all kinds). It was nice because I walked away with a better understanding of how to care for my eyes. Vincent took my initial check-in procedures (pressure test and what not) and he helped me select glasses. Will fully admit I was very uncertain about him in the beginning. He was so quiet - he didn't introduce himself or really explain any of the various tests we were doing or if they were good or bad results. When Dr. Kuo told me Vincent would help me pick out frames I really was skeptical. But once he was around me for five minutes he relaxed and gave fantastic advice! Vincent really helped me find the right look. The two frames I purchased I felt confident looked good on me and fit my face. I was super pleased! The eyeglasses arrived two weeks later and I received a voicemail and email letting me know they in. They were perfect! Pickup was a breeze. Highly recommend!
