I was basically ignored for about 45 minutes until someone opened the door and said oh, I didn't know you were waiting. They apparently lost me in the system, and no one came to do my eye exam. Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! Overall, for my first experience with this place, it was a pleasant surprise and I found myself not dreading an eye exam and hunting for something I never am really satisfied with- until now. She almost looked annoyed to do her job?? I was kind of taken aback by her attitude. The optician proceeded to say "you have no bridge at all" in a rude manner almost insulting my looks. The doctor owners, the father and daughter duo, must train their staff better to be more culturally sensitive when working with Southeast Asian patients and not insult our racial features. Is the Optician racist? This was the only takeaway I had walking away from this experience. Not to mention the awkward front desk situation. They have two front desk people, when you are talking to one, the other front desk person just stare at you the whole time. I felt so insulted and racially profiled that I asked my husband to call and cancel my lenses with them. Also, how are lenses $240 after insurance?!!! On glasses USA you can get at least three pairs including lenses for that price.

Staff are friendly and helpful. No issues with my insurance unlike my experiences at the other chain eye clinic I used to frequent. Chance, the fitment/eye technician (not sure on the real title), is super friendly and helpful. Taught me a lot about frames and types of lenses they offer. Dr. Yelgar was very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. Very professional. My initial worry was that a non-chain clinic might not have a lot of eye glasses frames to select but I was thankfully wrong. They had brands ranging from Nike, Oakley, the bendable frames, Dragon, etc. I think the prices are decent, I don't have much experience though. Around $219 for my Oakley frames before insurance kicked in. I'd highly recommend this clinic! Nice and welcoming. Doesn't feel like you're being a nuisance being there, unlike my old eye clinic chain (it was America's Best in Tukwila, bleh).

His family was there to help and they were the sweetest people. It's a nice homey feeling, but still professional. They have a little play place area in the waiting room which is so nice for kids waiting for their appointment. The place is nice, clean, and has a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. They make each customer feel valued and I am always about that. Any complaint about waiting time for glasses has nothing to do with the company. The exam portion went well and the doctor took the time to explain everything to me very thoroughly. I greatly appreciated that. The problem came in with my frames. I used my annual VSP benefit and selected some Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses. Initially, I had to wait till they got the larger size frame in and was told that it was too big for my face. I tried on the smaller one and noticed that it pinched a little bit right behind my ears. It took almost 3 weeks to get the new glasses in and after I started wearing them for about a week, I noticed that they pinched too much and were too uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour at a time. I contacted the office and let them know that and I was not apprised of any exchange option or anything else. I am now out several hundred dollars and have a pair of glasses that I can't wear. Waiting for my benefits to kick in after the first of the year and then I'll be shopping for a new provider and glasses.

I understand you must've answered the question I had a million times, but please do not cut me off while I am talking. I did not appreciate the way i was responded. I am a loyal customer to Costco and a future patient with the optical dept. Pam needs re-training how to answer calls. I also work in the medical field... so if patients may have questions, specially pertaining to how to save a couple of bucks for lenses, help the member out nicely is the least you can do, Pam! Thank you for answering my question though, and yes you did save me a trip, but in the future, have the decency to be corteous enough over the phone. I really appreciated that as I had a difficult year medically. But I had a number of problems with Cascade Vision. 1, they are *constantly* upselling, which I would have thought impossible for a doctor's office, but there you go. Every time I went in, whatever I went in for, there was always a necessary, over the counter product or not-covered-by -insurance procedure pushed on me which (surprise, surprise) they had available at the counter or through a special pharmacy. This gets tiresome. It also erodes trust in whatever advice the doctor is telling me about my condition. 2, I was having trouble adjusting to the glasses I bought there, for longer than the usual amount of time adjusting to a new prescription. I came back to have them checked out, just in case there was an error because everyone makes mistakes occasionally --that's human nature. The opticians got very snarky and overly defensive about that. A patient should be able to have their prescription checked out without questions. 3, I was misdiagnosed with a stye which turned out to be ocular rosacea. I saw 2 different doctors at Cascade Vision over about 3-4 months for this problem, at least a couple times a month, sometimes weekly. It seems extraordinary to me that they didn't recognize an ocular condition, which has the potential of damaging my cornea. The advice I was given (and of course, multiple products to buy!) to treat the "stye" was of course a complete waste of time and money and could have worsened the rosacea. 4. I had a diabetic eye exam and requested that the results be forwarded to my PCP. I had to make multiple requests over 6 months for that to be done, which is ridiculous, considering it could be sent in an email.

Don't go here. Ridiculously expensive after searching other methods. I went here once when I had…read moreinsurance for my job and didn't think much of it. They kept sending me messages about doing another eye appointment (takes like 20 minutes) and I told them I no longer had vision insurance with my job. The quote was over $300 not including the contacts or anything. Called around and this money-hungry business (not trying to help people just cash in as much as possible) is charging WAY more for an exam than literally any other Optometrist out there. Not even close. I decided to do an eye exam online and it was $79.99 INCLUDING 6 months of contacts. If you don't have insurance....definitely don't give your business to them. If you do have insurance...don't give your business to them because you know they are just using and abusing the system. Go to Costco or literally ANYWHERE else besides here.

My son has been coming every week for his contact lens training and they even know him by his 1st name now. The front desk personnel are friendly and accommodating and Dr. Wong is amazing as usual. She's very warm and great with kids! As long as customer service continues to be good like what we've been experiencing the past month, I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs!
