Bad communication and experience. I took off work for this. My eyes are important and so is my time, I'll find a more reliable company that respects both.

Staff are friendly and helpful. No issues with my insurance unlike my experiences at the other chain eye clinic I used to frequent. Chance, the fitment/eye technician (not sure on the real title), is super friendly and helpful. Taught me a lot about frames and types of lenses they offer. Dr. Yelgar was very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. Very professional. My initial worry was that a non-chain clinic might not have a lot of eye glasses frames to select but I was thankfully wrong. They had brands ranging from Nike, Oakley, the bendable frames, Dragon, etc. I think the prices are decent, I don't have much experience though. Around $219 for my Oakley frames before insurance kicked in. I'd highly recommend this clinic! Nice and welcoming. Doesn't feel like you're being a nuisance being there, unlike my old eye clinic chain (it was America's Best in Tukwila, bleh).

I came in with an unexpected and painful eye issue, and they got me in right away without stress. Dr. Botelho was so kind and attentive. He took the time to really understand what was going on, explained everything clearly, and gave me exactly what I needed to start healing: the right prescription Ophthalmic Suspension drops and Muro 128 ointment. I felt better quickly, and honestly, I was just so relieved to be taken seriously and treated with such compassion. What really impressed me was how thoughtful he was about long-term care. My son has been coming every week for his contact lens training and they even know him by his 1st name now. The front desk personnel are friendly and accommodating and Dr. Wong is amazing as usual. She's very warm and great with kids! As long as customer service continues to be good like what we've been experiencing the past month, I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs! I really appreciated that as I had a difficult year medically. But I had a number of problems with Cascade Vision. 1, they are *constantly* upselling, which I would have thought impossible for a doctor's office, but there you go. Every time I went in, whatever I went in for, there was always a necessary, over the counter product or not-covered-by -insurance procedure pushed on me which (surprise, surprise) they had available at the counter or through a special pharmacy. This gets tiresome. It also erodes trust in whatever advice the doctor is telling me about my condition. 2, I was having trouble adjusting to the glasses I bought there, for longer than the usual amount of time adjusting to a new prescription. I came back to have them checked out, just in case there was an error because everyone makes mistakes occasionally --that's human nature. The opticians got very snarky and overly defensive about that. A patient should be able to have their prescription checked out without questions. 3, I was misdiagnosed with a stye which turned out to be ocular rosacea. I saw 2 different doctors at Cascade Vision over about 3-4 months for this problem, at least a couple times a month, sometimes weekly. It seems extraordinary to me that they didn't recognize an ocular condition, which has the potential of damaging my cornea. The advice I was given (and of course, multiple products to buy!) to treat the "stye" was of course a complete waste of time and money and could have worsened the rosacea. 4. I had a diabetic eye exam and requested that the results be forwarded to my PCP. I had to make multiple requests over 6 months for that to be done, which is ridiculous, considering it could be sent in an email.

The quote was over $300 not including the contacts or anything. Called around and this money-hungry business (not trying to help people just cash in as much as possible) is charging WAY more for an exam than literally any other Optometrist out there. Not even close. I decided to do an eye exam online and it was $79.99 INCLUDING 6 months of contacts. If you don't have insurance....definitely don't give your business to them. If you do have insurance...don't give your business to them because you know they are just using and abusing the system. Go to Costco or literally ANYWHERE else besides here.

Located in my favorite plaza in Renton, Oceanclear has a plethora of frames. They have a variety of designer brands as well as high quality eyeglasses brands. I was impressed with the variety of styles and looks. It was quite easy to find a couple pairs that I would like. Dr. Wendy Kuo was amazing! I have hit and miss luck with optometrists lately but after my experience here I foresee me coming back. Dr. Kuo was informative, helpful, and very easy to talk to. She took what my ophthalmologist had told me and related it to the type of glasses that I required. I felt like I had dialogue with her instead of being talked at or rushed, which has been some of my recent experiences with optometrists (or really many in the medical field of all kinds). It was nice because I walked away with a better understanding of how to care for my eyes. Vincent took my initial check-in procedures (pressure test and what not) and he helped me select glasses. Will fully admit I was very uncertain about him in the beginning. He was so quiet - he didn't introduce himself or really explain any of the various tests we were doing or if they were good or bad results. When Dr. Kuo told me Vincent would help me pick out frames I really was skeptical. But once he was around me for five minutes he relaxed and gave fantastic advice! Vincent really helped me find the right look. The two frames I purchased I felt confident looked good on me and fit my face. I was super pleased! The eyeglasses arrived two weeks later and I received a voicemail and email letting me know they in. They were perfect! Pickup was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Mid April my 17 year old daughter went to see her on her own (I'd had surgery and couldn't go) Dr Ahmed gave her a script and I took her two weeks later and paid and other $100 for new lenses to be put into her existing frames. We get them back and my daughter said. No everything is still very blurry. So back we go. Again Dr agmed is very rushed. Made us feel like we were a bother because she didn't do her job right the first time. She'd ask my daughter. 1 or 2 and she'd say I can't tell a difference but neither of them is clear. This went on for about 5 minutes when she decided to almost double her script. She assured us it was what my daughter thought was best. (Reread this paragraph) So we have another set of lenses made. We picked them up yesterday and she puts them on and immediately takes them off and says I'm seeing 4 of everything. So 3rd times a charm. She's seeing a new dr next week and I will update after her new glasses arrive. But seriously. This is a headache. I should have shopped around for a new Dr and allowed my insuemace to pay for it.
