Came to Dr Kearney from Lancaster, CA. Had consults with doctors in Vegas, Beverly Hills, LA and him. He was the only one that made me feel at ease and didn't try to upsell me. The procedure and the recovery were a breeze. I came to him for a neck lift and I will be back to him for my next procedure! It's been a few months and I am very happy with the results. I went in for a consultation last week and left feeling very uncomfortable. From the start, before the consultation even began, I was asked to take photos for a simulation without being properly asked or informed, which I declined. During the consultation, I clearly explained what I was looking for. He mentioned under-the-armpit incisions, which interested me, but then quickly insisted that I would need a lift. I explained that I was extremely uncomfortable with a lift due to scarring, but my concerns were dismissed. He spoke very fast, was insistent, and both my support person and I felt lost and talked over. He told me my nipples were "turned down," which I disagreed with, and made unsolicited comments such as women not wanting to "look like a boy," that "guys don't care about scars," and that "you either have scars or you don't have bigger boobs." These comments felt inappropriate and made me feel pressured and insecure rather than supported. Overall, I felt that he did not listen to my goals or respect my boundaries. I booked this consultation specifically because of his advertised experience with endoscopic transaxillary cases and made my preferences very clear, yet I felt pushed toward a procedure I did not want. I would not trust this doctor and would recommend finding a surgeon who truly listens and has experience in the specific approach you're looking for. Additionally after the consultation, I called the office again to clarify whether it would be possible to proceed with an under-the-armpit approach without a lift, since I am comfortable with my breast shape and simply want more volume. He responded that I would "have the same breasts, just bigger," and that I would still have "the same problem." I explained that I do not see my breasts as a problem and that I like them as they are. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with Dr. Kearney and his staff. He has a warm personality that puts you immediately at ease. He took a lot of time discussing and explaining my options and going over all the details and possible outcomes to make sure I understood what the results would not only look like, but if I would be satisfied with them. I had to go to Dr. Kearney's office to have a procedure done on both of my eyelids! I had a few legions/growths that i needed removed and Dr. Kearney and Colleen were absolutely fabulous! Dr Kearney has a wicked sense of humor and knows how to make you feel very comfortable. He administered local anesthesia on both my eyes and except for the initial prick of the needle every thing was pretty much painless! He had to make three incisions to remove the 3 growths.. and later had to put a few stitches so that it healed well. He asked me to come back 5 days later to remove the stitches and the results after the 'mini surgery' left almost no scars. Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY ECSTATIC with the results! Thank you Doc! I have been a nurse for 32 years I have worked in the operating room beside surgeons on a regular basis. Never in all of my career have I experienced the compassion of a doctor like this. He walks you to the operating table make sure I have a warm blanket places my ekg Leads and blood pressure cuff little things that usually are done by other members of the team. He places on soft music reassures gently with s soft touch to my shoulder that everything will be OK. To have a brilliant surgeon so compassionate it's just something you never see. Dr. Kearney was supposed to inject my lips with Restylane. He managed to inject most of it incorrectly, creating a black and blue hard capsule on both sides of my upper lift. Additionally, Dr. Kearney's arrogance and coldness made the visit very uncomfortable. Due to the unpleasantness of the visit I decided just to wait for the filler to wear off. After three months the "capsules" have diminished but are still visible. Had to bite the bullet and go see him if anything can be done about them. Dr. Kearney flat out denied injecting my lips incorrectly. He wouldn't own up to his mistake. Made excuses from poor lighting to pre existing condition. Dr. Kearney is cold, arrogant and suffers from God complex. He simply can't do wrong in his own opinion. I have wanted breast implants for quite some time now and finally got around to going to consultations starting at the beginning of this year. I went to about 7 different doctors to get a consult for breast implant and I'm so happy I went to Dr. Kearney. He is one of the few surgeons who specializes in the armpit incision (so no scar on my breast - YAY!) within the San Diego area. My scars are so small!!! My roommate actually recommended him to me, and her results are just as phenomenal as mine! I am only a little over a month post-op but I am IN LOVE with the work Dr. Kearney did. I am recommending all my friends who want implants to him from here on out! Not only is he very skilled, but he is also very honest too! He makes recommendations based on his experience, but still prioritizes the patient's wants and needs. I was very anxious about picking sizes and he helped me choose the best size for me (and bared with my indecisiveness)! Come surgery day, I was very nervous, especially once I got into the OR. I don't always post reviews. Usually only if I'm extremely happy or extremely pissed off lol (probably like the rest of you). This one totally falls into the first category. My wife has used Dr Kearney in the past (that's for her to talk about ), but she asked me if I'd consider trying a new hair transplant procedure that he was offering. I've met with and talked to Dr K in the past when I've gone to her appointments, and I'm pretty comfortable with him. He's very professional and has a great sense of humor so I decided to give it a go. His NP, Shannon, is amazing as well. I believe she did the majority of the procedure. I believe it's called NeoGraft. My appointment was Dec 2016. I wanted to wait a good year to see how it all worked out. The 1st few months I was pretty skeptical. I didn't see immediate results and I'm an Instant Gratification kind of guy. My wife urged me to be patient and follow the steps, so I have. Within 6 months my co-workers were asking me what I'd changed, etc. Did I lose weight, buy new clothes, change my hair... At first I didn't know what they were talking about and had completely forgotten about the procedure. Then I realized what was going on. My hair that they moved from the back of my head to the front had totally taken hold and was doing great. I know that sounds crazy. How would I not notice. With work and life, sometimes you're just too busy. I'm now over a year since the hair transplant and I'm constantly talking to everyone about it. I'm simply amazed at the difference. I've been meaning to write a review for quite a while now, so here it is! Long story short, I always knew I would get a breast augmentation after graduating college. I have a curvy, athletic body, however, my breasts never matched the rest of my figure, as they were pretty much nonexistent. I had my first consolation with Dr. Kearney in 2017, and I knew right away that he would be my doctor (I had gone to 4 other consultations before him!). The consolation was very numbers focused (in regards to measurements and size), straight forward, and no-bullshit. He was honest about which sizes looked best, which type of implant would suit my body better, and overall made me feel confident in his abilities as a surgeon due to his honesty and education. His staff is AMAZING and Dr Kearney himself is extremely honest, blunt, and straight forward, which was exactly what I needed. He has this unique sense of humor that makes you feel at ease and provides that bedside manner that all patients are looking for. I scheduled my surgery shortly after my consultation. Dr Kearney was on time, polite, and reassuring with me come surgery day, making me feel comfortable and confident in my decision with him. I had decided to get 325cc implants, which I was hesitant about as I had a gut feeling that I wanted to go bigger. Fast forward to six months after my surgery (everything went well and I was healing great), I decided that I did in fact was to be larger, so I called Dr Kearney's office and scheduled another consultation for second surgery. Dr. Kearney was great and very understanding with my decision. We scheduled another surgery soon after, and agreed on 450cc's. This surgery went amazing again, and I was SO happy with the final result. He did a phenomenal job both times and was so easy to love during the process. I appreciate his honesty, confidence, and ability to make his patients feel comfortable in their decision. My advice, choose Dr. Kearney for your breast augmentation! I thought Robert was a good guy till he tried to charge me another 600 today when it was a revision surgery. Robert told me if I was not pleased with the results I could come back and he would fix it. Well, that was untrue! He was super rude to me, told me nothing was wrong with it when it's not on his body it's on mine. I have to look at this ever day. I feel like he was very unprofessional with the anger he had when he opened the door with anger and it slammed into the wall. I almost cried because I knew I should of put something in writing and instead I trusted his word. I am a student struggling during all of this awfulness that is happening in the world and this is not a super invasive surgery. It's just fixing my stretched ears. I'm sure that doesn't cost him much but to see how he treated me and the things he said was very unprofessional and rude. I would look into another plastic surgeon if I was you... now, I have to find someone who will fix this and not try and lie or take my money. Dr. K and his staff are the obvious choice! Back in April I decided to have a breast lift and augmentation to put back what disappeared after breastfeeding my daughter. I did my due diligence by researching online the local doctors, reading reviews, and going on consultations. After meeting with Dr. K I knew without a doubt that he was the right choice. So much so, that same day I booked my appointment for surgery on June 5th. I am now a little over a week and a half post-op and I could not be more pleased and still feel 100% confident I made the right decision! Here's a little list of why they are so fantastic (some of which has already been stated in previous reviews by other happy patients but worth echoing!): 1. During my consultations Dr. K was the only doc to spend the entire hour with me. All of the other docs had their nurses handle the meeting and only popped in for a brief 10 minutes or so to examine me and then leave. The nurses are an integral part of the surgery and care but it didn't make sense to me that the other doctors handed off the explanation phase onto their nurses. Dr. K definitely outshone the others I visited. 2. Dr. K approaches his services from a much more technical and clinical standpoint. He was less concerned with bra size (which the other docs emphasized) and more concerned with my frame, what would look good, and the various different options. He set my expectations on what would be realistic and really understood exactly what I was aiming for - I had large breasts to begin with prior to breastfeeding and they ended up incredibly deflated. I wanted them to be put back to where they used to be (up! haha), fuller, noticeably done if in a tank, t-shirt, or bikini but not so "fake" that I look like a 21 year old at a Las Vegas pool party (I'm a 31 year old wife and mom who lives in the San Diego suburbs who still wants to look attractive and feel sexy in my own right!), and frankly not noticeable to my colleagues and clients other than maybe I got a really great new bra. 3. His staff members are all incredibly nice and welcoming! In my few appointments (consultation, pre-op, post-op, and follow up) I have yet to wait longer than a couple of minutes, and they have been attentive and friendly when either in person or on the phone. This is true of his entire staff! This may sound weird too but it definitely caught my attention - not one of them looks like a stereotypical cosmetic surgeon office employee (stretched faces, overly plump lips, and frozen foreheads). All beautiful women who if they have had work done have had GOOD work done. 4. Dr. K makes you feel comfortable asking any question and is available to help any time! That is what I expect from a medical professional. He called the night before and the evening of my surgery as did his anesthesiologist. 5. Another odd thought but worth mentioning - he has a very nice office but it felt like a doctor office which was exactly what I wanted. I'm not going to get my hair done, I'm having surgery. The other offices I visited felt like overly done salons. It also made me more comfortable knowing that Dr. K does his surgeries at Scripps Hospital, not in a surgical suite in his office. Being at the hospital again made me feel confident that god forbid anything bad did happen I was where I needed to be. Again I can't say enough how happy I have been with my decision and my results! Do yourself a favor and call for a consultation. It's obvious once meeting with him and his staff why they have been voted top Cosmetic Surgeon in San Diego for a few years running. I had work done and I am EXTREMELY happy that I went with Dr. Kearney. There are a lot of options in San Diego... I feel like I made an excellent choice going with him. I had a lift and augmentation after pregnancy and breast feeding. I researched everything I could before making a consultation. I wanted to go into the office with some background knowledge. What I learned before my consultation is there are a lot of opinions and options regarding breast lifts and augmentation. First of all I would like to start off by saying I have never left a Doctors office so in awe by the consultation. Dr Kearney spent over a hour consulting with me about the procedures I wanted done. He was so easy to talk to and gave me his honest opinions. He actually recommended me to see another doctor because he specialized in what I wanted done! I had a procedure done with Dr. Kearney I believe the procedure was called ( skin tight. )The results were very minimal; nonetheless I wanted to come in for another treatment. Upon dialing his office Katie the office receptionist puts me on hold and without knowledge of who I was, she puts me directly to Dr. Kearney, he asked what I needed to told him I was interested in another procedure of a skin tightening, he says ok fine, he would transfer me back to Katie. Katie looks up my name and says I missed an appointment in 2018' and because of this, I was dropped as a patient! I was stunned! I don't feel this was the reason; I think his practice is bias! I was told by Katie to find another doctor!! (Insane) I feel the office staff including Dr. Kearney is very bias and selective on who he takes on a patient! I was a referral from another patient when I was treated. Goes to show what type of practice this is. They have no sympathy for their patients needs. I have to say that I am completely shocked at how perfect my breast look after he did my breast surgery. I am a breast cancer patient and I had a prior lumpectomy that left my left breast 3 sizes smaller then my right breast, I had 3 prior breast implant surgeries with another plastic surgeon and still had issues on the breast cancer breast being flat and both breast not matching. I went to Dr. Kearney in hopes that he could make them pretty again. He was completely honest and upfront with me, Love his bedside manner and his honesty. Surgery went well, I had hardly any pain at all which was amazing, not one issue and over the weekend I got 2 calls from Dr. Kearney checking on me to make sure I was ok and also gave me his personal cell number in case of any issues on the weekend. Look no further if you are considering getting a breast augmentation! Dr. Kearney and his staff are incredible. I had thought about getting my breast done for about 10 years and after many consultations I never felt like I found the right Doctor for me. When I met with him and his staff not only was the consult free but they spent over two hours with me as I was so nervous and didn't know what directions to go in. They talked me through each step and explained all the implants. I booked my surgery and felt great about it. 4 days before my surgery however I just wasn't sure I picked the right implant for me. I called the office late on a Friday and with no hesitation the office staff said let me go get the Doctor on the phone for you. Sure enough a min later he was on the phone talking through my concerns with me. I ended up switching to a smaller implant and he made the changes for me. The night before the surgery the Anesthesiologist called me to explain everything and so did his office. They were so nice and made me feel so comfortable. The day of the surgery was a breeze. The Doctor was right on time, the nurses were so calming and surgery went great. That night at home Dr. Kearney called me himself to make sure I was doing ok. It's been 3 weeks since my surgery and I couldn't be happier. I went with the arm pit incision and the scar is so thin and won't be noticeable once it heals. I would recommend this incision over any others! Trust me!!! One side note. I work in healthcare and I am around many Doctors, hospitals and doctor offices every day. I came in to see Dr. Kearney because I thought there might be a small leak in my implant. I am a breastfeeding mother, and Dr. Kearney informed me that I need to stop breastfeeding because I'm not providing any nutritional benefit to my child, as well as I am creating an unhealthy attachment. I called today to let them know how grossly misinformed Dr. Kearney is- that in fact the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) as well as WHO (World Health Organization) both recommend breast feeding until age two or beyond. Longer breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer as well as malocclusion in infants/toddlers. Those are just 3 benefits out of 20+. Katy told me on the phone today, that it was just a difference of opinion. I asked, "who's opinion" and she stated: "Dr. Kearney and yours." I quickly corrected her again, stating that it wasn't my opinion but the AAP & WHO- and countless hours of supporting research. I also told her that it was out of line for Dr. Kearney to even mention anything to me, when he didn't know what he was talking about. There are multiple clinical studies regarding the benefits of continued breastfeeding. If Dr. Kearney feels the need to over step his bounds and discuss it, then he should be educated on the most current data/research. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Kearney for about 5 years for various cosmetic procedures. I have been extremely happy. Unlike a lot of doctors, he is very easy to talk to AND he is a very skilled surgeon. Dr. Kearney spends a lot of time during each appointment answering questions and explaining details of the procedures. I never feel like he is rushing to get to his next appointment. For me, it is very important to have a doctor that is not only a skilled surgeon and personable. Nobody enjoys going to the doctor, but Dr. Kearney's bedside manner really puts you at ease. She is a college Senior (with clearly limited money) so he told her it was a birthday present to her. WOW...you don't find people out there like this out there anymore. This place is Tits! I love Dr. Kearney and his whole staff. Here's my story: I had wanted a breast augmentation since I was 13 when all my friends were growing boobs and I was left with pancakes. I grew up in a family of 6, 5 girls and 1 boy. All of my sisters were size 2 with DD's!? what happened to me... A cups :/ I was the kid who got teased for having small boobs and remember getting a water bra as a gift at my birthday party in front of all the school boys. Lets just say the party ended early. It took awhile after that to be comfortable in my own skin and to be confident with my body. When I met the man of my dreams he truly loved me for who I was and every part of me. Although he loved everything about me and didn't want me to change anything he was very supportive about my decision to get breast implants. We were on our way home from vacation, about a 6 hour drive, and the whole time I was researching Plastic Surgeons. I was judging them based on their website and post-op photos. I think I flipped through more then a thousand photos. I narrowed my search down to 2 surgeons, Dr. Kearney #1 and Dr. Batra #2. My first consult was with Dr. Batra although I liked Dr. Kearney's photos the most. I really like Dr. Batra, I have nothing bad to say. When I left his office I thought for sure I would be calling them in an hour to schedule my surgery date, I was so excited. I got home explained how my consult went to my man and he was excited for me but reminded me to still consult with other Dr.s because you don't know what your comparing when there's no one else to compare to, which I recommend always doing. I scheduled my consult with Dr. Kearney for later that week. I walked in with the same questions: What incision site do you prefer? Under or over the muscle? Saline or Silicone? Whats your recommendation? To be honest both Dr.'s gave me the same recommendation, 350cc, High Profile Silicone, Under the muscle. The only difference is that Dr. Batra suggested Inframammary incision and Dr. Kearney preferred transaxillary incision. The reasons why I choose Dr. Kearney: 1) He shared detailed information during my consult that assured me he was the one. Breast width, incision site, silicone vs. saline, and HP. He really is good at what he does. Trust him. 2) His recommendation and reason why. 3) Price was right 4) I felt comfortable and loved the energy. I couldn't wait to schedule my surgery. I had my surgery in November of 2012. I just passed 6 months post-op a couple days ago. I love everything about my experience, I couldn't have asked for a better one. From the fist day of my consult to my 3 month post-op Dr. Kearney held my hand and gave me everything I asked for. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported me through this journey.
