He made me feel like I had no reason to be there or to take up any of his time with my knee pain. He asked me what I was doing there since my x-rays looked normal. He did ask a few questions, but in a humoring me kind of way. He never addressed me by my name. The entire visit took less than 10 minutes. He basically told me I had to live with my knee pain forever. He suggested a few rounds of therapy and had a mocking expression on his face the entire time. The staff was wonderful but he was rude and cold. He didn't even say goodbye when he left the exam room. Terrible experience.

Didn't properly manage expectations before the surgery…read more I met the doctor twice before the surgery and was explicitly clear about how I am physically active, train dialy, how function is my number one priority. Had this surgery been sold to me as pain management for older folks where function will be sacrificed, I would have not had my shoulder replaced. I now have a "bum" shoulder that does not work right. Activities I have engaged in all my life are no longer possible. When I noticed something wasn't right about 3 months after surgery the doctor replied with answers like "I think it looks better that way," or "I'm concerned how it looks, how's the pain?" Then when I pushed the doctor to fix this ugly mess, he cuts his losses and doesn't want to deal with it anymore. The results are ugly. I have a deep 1 inch indent/gash compared to my other shoulder and it's visible under cloths. If you carry extra muscle it will be far more noticeable. Note to the doctor: please don't include me in your 97% success rate. This guy doctors up his Google ratings. Don't be fooled into thinking he gets no negative reviews. I have 3 other orthopedic surgeons, a cat scan, 2 ultra sounds, and all say the same thing independently, this isn't right. Fortunately, I found a doctor to fix his mess.

I'm by no means a drug seeker, but have been on a drug that has worked with me for the past decade. Dr. Rai was very professional and honest about his inability to help me switch from my current pain managment provider and have him continue my medication. He did make sure that my co-pay was refunded before I left the office. While, he could not help me, I do have respect for him since he was straightforward and honest. I do wish they would be more upfront about their practice's inability to prescribe controlled pain medication so that others know ahead of time.

It took days of repeated calls, messages, emails, before I was ever able to get through. However they were able to make an appointment within a few days. For the consultation, the doctor seemed very confident that he knew what the problem was and suggested doing an injection. Did not discuss any other possible treatments (i.e. medication), just insisted the next step was to come back for an injection. I went for the injection and it went fine. I had more pain for the next 7 days than I did before coming in, and after that I felt no pain relief at all. I came in for my scheduled follow-up appointment and was exactly on time. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then came out to remind them that I was waiting and that it was 30 minutes past my appointment time. The person there said something like "oh you're probably next". I told them I had another appointment after this and could not just wait around indefinitely. I waited another 10 minutes and still no doctor showed up. I decided that I could not stay any longer as they were well past the appointment time. I asked if we can reschedule for a less busy time. They said the next available appointment is 30 days out! I asked if they think it's right that the doctor did not show for my appointment and now I have to wait 30 days for another chance? The scheduler told me that even if I come in after 30 days, the doctor may still be not on-time that day and that I have to just sit there and wait. At this point I decided to just leave and go someplace else. Their treatment was not effective at all, their office staff is impossible to get a hold of since they don't answer the phone or return messages, and if they can't keep their appointments then it's really a deal-breaker for me. The second doctor recommended that I find a surgeon who could perform a periacetabular osteotomy (a major surgery that would break my pelvis and reconstruct my hip socket). Long story short, I was saved by a third doctor who told me that nothing was wrong with my hip. He was the specialist surgeon who knows how to perform the difficult operation. He explained that my symptoms were not hip related, rather, they were sciatic in nature (shooting pains from my hip to my feet, numbing, tingling). He recommended I see Dr. Clavenna, who specializes in spinal surgery. I saw Dr. Clavenna, was immediately diagnosed, had a micro-discectomy, and am now back to work and enjoying life again. Good thing I didn't go through a terrible (life altering) surgery that would require me to be out for 6 months! Dr. Clavenna was knowledgeable, attentive, efficient and kind. He has been by far the best doctor!

The pathway to the office is crutch friendly as I discovered. Dr Raynor's staff is friendly, fast and effective. I was on the examination table in no time. The X ray was done quickly and Dr Raynor's evaluation was thorough. On the next visit to give me the MRI results, all of the options, treatment suggestions and plans were expertly provided. I really appreciated a copy of the MRI report to read and reread. This organization is the best professionals to see with an injury. I've seen 4 others with various injuries and all delivered outstanding results that healed me and my sons. Dr Raynor is the one to see!

After explaining my symptoms he had a pretty good idea what was wrong with me, and after an MRI his suspicions were correct that I had a stress fracture. It was such a relief to find out what was wrong with me, as I previously thought I had a muscle strain. Dr. Raynor's staff is also really nice and always concerned about my well-being. I really like the system of pre-visit online check-in at Texas Orthopedic Associates, so you don't have to spend each appointment filling out paperwork and you can actually get to your appointment on time. The only negative is sometimes it was hard to get an appointment that works with my schedule. Dr. Raynor is well in demand, and I completely understand why.
