Great dentist. Great staff. I am so glad that I brought my son here. I had the feeling of a true family dentist.

I can't say enough good things about the whole team at Sunny Smiles. We were visiting family in…read moreSanta Barbara when our 4 year old started complaining about tooth pain. We called around to multiple pediatric dentists and Sunny Smiles stood out to us. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienist to the dentist treated both us and our son with enormous kindness and compassion - what stood out most to me was how the dentist spoke directly to my son about what he was going to do and what tools he was going to use. My son has a bit extra doctor-related anxiety and they were so patient with him, but even more than that they treated him with dignity and respect. We're honestly considering transferring our regular dental checkups here. Highly recommended.

They have an amazing waiting area, although the kiddos didn't get to play for a long time since we were seen right away. Once in their chairs the dental hygienists were amazing and so patient with both my kiddos. Doctor Nobel came in afterwards to check on them individually and then spoke to me on the side about what he will be looking out for for their next visit. Definitely recommended Sunny Smiles, my daughter (8yrs old) doesn't like going to the dentist and she left Sunny Smiles saying how she's excited to go back for her next cleaning

For years, I was told I needed braces because of an extra tooth on my lower row--what I always…read morecalled my "shark tooth." It never felt urgent, so I kept putting it off. Then my top teeth started shifting and caving in a bit, and I knew it was time. I was referred to Dr. Ferris by friends who absolutely raved about him. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical going in--I assumed they'd recommend pulling the tooth like others had suggested. But instead, he recommended Invisalign. It honestly sounded too good to be true, but I decided to go for it. Now, I have a straight smile--no shark tooth--and while I thought I was happy with my smile before, I had no idea how much better it could be. My teeth are straighter than I ever imagined, and I truly couldn't be happier with the results. What really stood out, though, was the entire experience. Dr. Ferris has clearly created something special with his team. From the moment you walk in, the energy is different--welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely positive. Every single person I interacted with was not only professional, but truly kind and engaging. You never feel rushed, you feel taken care of. The level of customer service is exceptional. They remember you, they communicate clearly, they make the process easy, and somehow turn what you'd normally expect to be a purely clinical, in-and-out appointment into something genuinely enjoyable. It's organized, efficient, and still feels warm and personal--which is a rare combination. The office itself is beautiful--clean, modern, almost spa-like--but it's really the people that make it stand out. There's a sense that everyone enjoys being there, and it shows in how they treat their patients. I truly can't recommend Dr. Ferris and his incredible team enough. Professional, fun, welcoming, and results that speak for themselves.

After years of being patients of Dr. Pham, my grandma and I will unfortunately no longer be…read morereturning. We've both seen her for nearly 8 years, but recent experiences have raised serious concerns. During my last visit for a root canal, I experienced a sharp popping sensation in my ear during the numbing injection, it was painful and alarming. I mentioned it immediately, but instead of addressing it with care or concern, Dr. Pham brushed it off with a dismissive, "That's strange," and continued on. It was extremely difficult to keep my jaw open during that appointment, and ever since, I've experienced ongoing jaw discomfort and unusual ear issues that began immediately following that procedure. More recently, my grandmother went in for an extraction and let Dr. Pham know she wasn't fully numb. Instead of giving the anesthetic more time to work, she proceeded anyway, causing my grandma to scream in pain mid-procedure. This was not my grandmothers first extraction but it was her most traumatic. She has never felt pain at a dentist appointment before. Dr. Pham's only response was, "You should feel some pressure." Let's be clear: pressure is normal. Pain severe enough to make a patient cry out, nearly jump out of the chair, and involuntarily crush the assistant's hand is not. This wasn't a matter of low pain tolerance, it was a preventable outcome caused by rushing and ignoring clear patient feedback. We understand that dentistry is a fast-paced field, but patients deserve time, compassion, and adequate pain management. Rushing through procedures, failing to respond to pain, and ignoring patient feedback is a serious lapse in professional responsibility. We can no longer trust this office with our care and will be seeking a provider who prioritizes patient well-being over convenience. I'm not sure what changed with Dr. Pham, she used to be an excellent provider. When I moved to Texas, I would drive back just to see her. Even after returning closer to LA, I remained loyal to her practice. We overlooked the occasional cultural insensitivity and dismissive feedback because we trusted her care. But this most recent experiences crossed a line. Some things you just can't come back from and this was one of them.
