I've been coming to Dr Kimura for about 16 years now! He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, with the most relaxed personality! I would assume this is excellent for those who are afraid of going to the dentist. Although, I have never had a cavity in my life, so I'm not sure what being afraid of the dentist is like;) He also does pediatric dental care, so it's super convenient to do a one stop cleaning for the whole family in a morning. When picking a dentist, you want to go to someone who has been out in their career for a while. Not only are they going to have more experience, but they are also going to have already paid off any debt from dental school, so they will be less likely to pitch you for add-on services which aren't necessary just to make more money. Dr Kimura excelled in building a trusting rapport with me. He is clearly very knowledgable about oral health, and he also wasn't pushing for any services. Dr. Kimura is such a nice, gentle, kind man. He is conservative in his style and won't recommend any unnecessary work, unlike many dentists who will to make an extra buck. Something I also really love is that he personally does the teeth cleanings, not a tech. Each time you go in for anything, he comes and checks your teeth; can't put a price on that personal touch. I've had the pleasure the past thirty (30) years with what I feel is the greatest dentist and staff I've ever met. Most people dread the thought of seeing their dentist but those same people have never been to Dr. Kimura office. He is gentle, sincere and yet determined to make your dental experience as comprehensive and painless as possible. Without exception, he has taken me when I've had a crown come loose or a tooth ache even with his busy schedule and patient backlog. The thing I like and appreciate the most about Dr. Kimura is when he comes in at 6:00a.m. on a Saturday morning to work on my teeth, giving up his personal time to help take care of me. How many people, let alone your dentist would do that for you? When I'm in the "chair" my worries are completely gone, I'm relaxed and trust my life in his professional hands knowing the job will be done right the first time, all the time. Very friendly staff, especially Lauren very helpful and genuinely kind. She makes you feel very welcomed when you walk-in. With Covid, office is kept very clean, sanitized and importantly you feel very safe. And the best part, Dr. Kimura, takes his time making sure one is comfortable and does a thorough assessment, cleaning and the meticulous work that needs to get done. Most recently, my teenage son, had his first cavity and cracked tooth. He was very nervous about getting a shot and couldn't believe it didn't hurt at all. Dr. Kimura explained everything and didn't realize he received 3 injections. After the root-canal, my son told me it didn't hurt much at all. One of the best and most genuinely kind hearted dentist I know! I was having really painful gum bacteria that resulted in a swollen lymph node! This dentist did a very thorough clean that was fast! Not to mention this was the time during the corona virus outbreak. He went out of his way to treat me. I had been going to Dr. Kimura for a few years and unfortunately had to switch Insurances to an HMO plan. I was told I needed a filling and had 2 cavities at my HMO Dentist and the whole appointment was very rushed and they discussed drilling right away, trying to do it right then and there. (I never had a cavity before in my life) Needless to say, I felt very uneasy and I wanted a 2nd opinion. I sent my X-rays to Dr. Kimura and his staff was able to fit me in quickly. First time visiting Dr. Kimora for cosmetic dental work. He installed my implants and they look great! (I'm the guy in the photo roll) He's been my parents dentist for a few years now and also works with the surgeons who did my procedure across the hall. He's very detail oriented, if he doesn't like how his work turned out he'll start over until it's perfect. Dr. Kimora takes his time to do it right, he's very gentle and clean.
