Annapolis has got a ton of little clothing shops and odds and ends but THE COTTAGE's selection was top notch. They had bracelets, bags, decor, clothes...you name it. I'm from the south and live in Ohio now, but this shop was reminiscent of the shops in the south. Classy and prices reasonable for the quality they carry, plus the staff were so hospitable. Hopefully I'll be stopping in on a regular basis if I get a Mid class 2031.

To differentiate between the two locations they are calling the downtown Annapolis store The Cottage on Main and the Severna Park store The Cottage in The Park. The inventory between the two stores seems very similar. I can almost always find something to buy at this great local, small business. Here are some of my most recent finds: - Avanti greeting cards often featuring funny animals. They are the best! - Keva leather jewelry. It's light and so comfortable to wear. - Farmhouse Fresh lotions and soaps. Great quality and not overbearing scents. - Hobo purses and wallets. Awesome colors, practical designs and yummy leather. - A variety of thoughtful and sweet baby gifts. Lots of pretty prints. - Boho bandeaus. I really like these for working out in the yard. - Rifle Paper Co. stemless drinking glasses. Seems great for anything. - Although not personally a favorite of mine, popular brands like Vera Bradley, Kendra Scott and Swig. Since this location is in downtown Annapolis parking is a consideratoin. On an early weekday morning you might be able to grab a metered spot our front. The Noah Hillman Parking Garage is nearby too. Or you can always drive 15 minutes to the Severna Park location where parking is plentiful. Overall, The Cottage on Main is a great addition to downtown Annapolis.

BLUF: Preppy, higher-end nautical inspired clothing for women…read more The Lucky Knot is a local retailer with a handful of stores in Annapolis, Alexandria and perhaps a few other locations. They have two stores in downtown Annapolis and this review is for the business at 176 Main Street that sells preppy clothing with a touch of nautical. Brands like Gretchen Scott, Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines are sold here and I appreciate having a local option for nicer clothes, especially after Nordstrom went out of business in 2020. The store is always well organized and I do find the pretty displays beckoning me to come in and have a look. In addition to clothing they have accessories - scarves, purses, fashion jewelry, etc. My style isn't generally as preppy as The Lucky Knot but I have gotten a few fun plaid pieces here for the holidays. They key is to take the time to try it on and make sure you love it because the return policy is exchanges only.

I talked my husband into returning to the boat with our dog so I could try on clothes at The PInk Crab. Taylor was also incredibly helpful. I felt a bit funny as I had no makeup on and my hair was very frizzy from the humidity. They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The customer service was the best I have experienced at a retail boutique in a very long time. I purchased a lined dress and a pair of skorts. Couldn't make it out without finding a super-fun pair of earrings. It was because of Shery that I will continue to shop here when I am in town.
