As always, Proper Hour Home Services were very easy to work with and did a fantastic job at a great price! Our new fridge was too tall for our cabinet space, so needed to cut about 1 1/4 inches from top lip. We also had a long copper tubing run connecting filtered water to our old fridge ice maker. Since Lowe's installation doesn't work with copper tubing and requires a valve to hook up the ice maker line, we needed the copper tubing cut and a valve added to the new end. Ihor from PHHS came and did an excellent job on both tasks! He was able to detach the cabinet lip and cut it outside, so we never heard the loud sawing we expected :-). After installing the cut lip, it measured just right with a little room to space. He cut the copper tubing very cleanly after turning off the water main and installed and tested the valve he bought at Home Depot. Ihor also put down plastic before the work and did a great cleanup job. Our new fridge fit perfectly in the cabinet space and Lowe's installers had a very simple, smooth hookup of the ice maker line to the new valve with their ice maker line installation kit we bought with the fridge. Raman, the owner, was easy to communicate with. When an earlier job unexpectedly ran long and he needed to reschedule our original appointment, he gave us several hours of advance notice, was sincerely apologetic, and made a real effort to find another time that worked for us. No big deal - things happen, and I really appreciated how proactively and professionally he handled it. On the day of the job, his associate showed up right on time. I was impressed that he arrived having anticipated what the project might require and brought all of the materials he would need to complete the job. He got straight to work, did a very neat and professional installation, and cleaned up everything nicely afterward. Besides this, he kept demanding payment before I could even have any chances reviewing his job and he already started threatening to put a lien on the property. All this inappropriate and threatening actions happened within 3 hours of today. Even I did not get satisfied for the job, I paid him but requested him to come back to fix the issues of the windows, and ask him to provide me a receipt upon receipt of payment. Ridiculously, he told me he would provide me a receipt by the end of the day instead of giving me a receipt right away. Then 3 hrs later by 5pm, he still did not send me a receipt and also told me he would not come back to fix the issues he left behind. I would strongly recommend you not to use this terrible handyman. He told us need to do the outlet box and it will be additional $100 (decided to raise another $10) , my husband said he will do the outlet box himself, Jaime was ok to sell us electrical plastic box just extra $1-$2. When he finishes the job he said is $170, I asked why? He said because I brought you the electrical box that's additional $10. I told him I don't need the box you can take it back (since he want to up charge so much) , he got mad and say don't ever call him in the future for any service. We never wanted him to do the outlet box since the beginning, and he got mad because we didn't want to pay him $10 for this $0.50 electrical box he brought us. My project started with replacing all of my kitchen cabinets, but we ended up tackling my laundry room first. A couple of cabinets had non-standard sizing, so customization was needed to avoid awkward-looking panels to fill in any gaps. My project was completed ahead of schedule and executed flawlessly.
