I agreed to do the only garbage disposal installation for $160 and set an appointment . He show up one hour early without communication. He told us need to do the outlet box and it will be additional $100 (decided to raise another $10) , my husband said he will do the outlet box himself, Jaime was ok to sell us electrical plastic box just extra $1-$2. When he finishes the job he said is $170, I asked why? He said because I brought you the electrical box that's additional $10. Decent handyman for a decent price, but communication is tricky. Hired him for a range of different little jobs around the house, mostly caulking, fixing doors, etc. He's kind of busy, so we had to reschedule a bit. The quote for parts and labor was $1200, ended up paying $1300. He's very polite and straight to the point. The work was done quickly and mostly holds up - could be cleaner, and he did have to come back to recaulk the master shower. No charge, but I still had to pay $50 for a part he forgot to include in the final total. It wasn't clear if that part had already been included in my previous payment though. He also doesn't want you to list things as handyman services if you use Zelle, to avoid taxes. Still, it has been a few weeks and everything he worked on is holding up well. I recommend getting a Spanish translator or app because he's still improving his English (unless you already speak it), which can make understanding each other challenging otherwise. Jaime and his partner were hired after we interviewed 3 potential contractors for our Master Bathroom remodel. We had a cracked shower pan which had been leaking water under our floor for quite a while before we became aware of the problem. We explained to Jaime that we wanted rip out the shower pan and the surrounding shower walls and replace the walls with porcelain ceramic tiles and brand new fixtures. The tear out was completed in a day and we needed to wait for the tiles and the new Shower Tower to arrive. At that time, Jaime and his partner recommended that we should remove the older soaking tub and get a modern one installed. Boy, were they right. The new tub really completed the new look. Soon, we bought the new faucet handles and tub filler while they were working on the tear out of the old tub and installation of the new tub. They relocated the faucet from a tub mounted fixture to a wall mounted fixture. This looks makes such difference as the new fixtures come directly out of the new tiled wall. As the project moved along, we continued to make changes and expand the remodel. They installed a new 120v electrical outlet in the separate toilet stall area so we could install a Toto Washlet Bidet and a USB outlet wall charger. My wife soon decided that she wanted a new wall mounted, back lit mirror, like you see in a new modern hotel bathroom. We wanted the 72 x 36 mirror mounted and hard wired with a new outlet located behind the mirror. At the same time, we asked that two new outlets be installed to the sides of the new mirror. Mission was accomplished in a couple days while we waited for the new set of double sink faucets/handles to arrive and be installed. The bottom line is that as our confidence grew with Jaime and his ability as we kept expanding our project. They were very patient with us as we kept adding/changing new little projects within the total remodel. After the project was completed, Jaime and his partner did a thorough clean up job and we were very happy customers. Flash forward: 4 months later my wife noticed that water was leaking from one of the new wall mounted faucet handles this past weekend. I texted Jaime on Tuesday evening and explained the issue. Jaime was at my house the next morning and fixed the issue within 15 minutes. While there, he noticed a couple areas where our paint seemed to have little imperfections and decided to do something about it. He asked if I still had the paint from the project. I did, and Jaime pulled out the paint and hit any minor paint imperfections with a fresh coat of our new color. I am totally impressed as Jaime went far above our expectations. We were able to remodel our master bathroom while making changes on the fly and we got it done under budget!
